Caring atmosphere, very capable people at all levels of jobs.

Dr.Zaldivar was very friendly, & knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained the procedure so I'd know what to expect.

After unsuccessful appointments with several different ophthalmologists and other MDs in the area, Dr. Zaldivar was able to correctly assess my condition. Dr. Zaldivar is very knowledgeable and compassionate, listened to my concerns and provided an extensive explanation of my condition and path forward for recovery, i am so thankful to finally find the right doctor.

Had surgery this morning. Staff and Doctor Zaldivar were amazing and professional. My only complaint is political correctness does not belong in a surgical center. I went to have surgery performed; not to be exposed to CRT. The rainbow flag has no business being placed on a registration sign sign. Taped on like a 5 year old did it.

Dr Zaldivar is a great Oculoplastic surgeon. He’s very professional and friendly. I’ve had 2 procedures with him through another facility and this is my 1st procedure with him at LUXE. The staff was very courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend his services.

Since we live 3 hours away, we were lucky to have a Tele-Health appointment with Dr Zaldivar. After consultation he will do the needed surgery for my husband.

It is always a pleasure and a reassuring experience to visit with Dr. Zaldivar. My last visit was no exception.

Dr. Zaldivar and his staff are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. All of my questions regarding my condition, the procedure to be performed, and insurance cost were answered satisfactorily. Dr. Zaldivar's bedside manner was comforting as he demonstrates confidence and expertise in his specialty. During my procedure, Dr. Zaldivar and his staff continually reassured me and informed me of what was occurring. I can positively recommend Dr. Zaldivar and all of his team. Short wait time, several forms to sign to assure provider that bills will be paid by patient if not insurance . Intelligent, kind staff. Dr. Zaldivar was very quick to give advice on the services he could provide. We are lucky to have him and his team in the Triangle Area.

I wasn't impressed by the quality of services. The first appointment without the doctor seemed fine. I meet Dr. Zaldivar during the second appointment. He wasn't listening and didn't seem interested in helping me. I was told to go home and experiment with a medication I already used and gave me great discomfort. In office, this medication was given during my 1st appointment. The nurse then recorded the results. The 2nd appointment I was then told to do this again at home and email pictures. I told the doctor i didn't want to cause the pain again. He didn't care and wanted me to follow up again.. Nothing came from the 2nd appointment, so i do not want to waste time and money on a 3rd. I had a very good experience at Dr. Zaldivar. All the employees were knowledgeable and went out of their way to help-

Went in for an opinion on an MRI finding. Everyone in the office was very kind. Dr Zaldivar was thorough and very patient with all my questions ;) He explained everything, putting it all in perspective, and ordered some appropriate tests. Will follow up with him when the results are back. Highly recommend this practice.

My husband has had a rough couple of years in dealing with an autoimmune condition affecting his eyes. As a result he has undergone several invasive orbital surgeries to relieve pressure and discomfort. Dr. Zaldivar has been there since day one, and has yet to be wrong about a single thing involving my husband’s initial diagnosis and all subsequent treatment, surgeries, and care. Since autoimmune conditions and disease are so varied and symptoms can be so individual, we had a lengthy process involving MANY specialists just to arrive at the correct autoimmune diagnosis which Dr. Zaldivar had suggested from the very beginning. We feel strongly after much experience with him that Dr. Zaldivar’s expertise in this area and immense talent as a surgeon saved my husbands eyes. We could not be more grateful, and cannot recommend him enough. He has a naturally kind bedside manner, yet an honest and direct style of communicating that we found so refreshing during what was a very frustrating time. Throughout the duration of my husband’s care we came to wholeheartedly trust Dr. Zaldivar’s opinion and plan for treatment beyond any other. Additionally, his entire staff is fantastic— always friendly communication, kindness, and attention to detail; an amazing support team to this excellent practice. Absolutely HORRIBLE and unprofessional practice. Dr. Zaldivar canceled my daughter's eye surgery less than 48 hours before with NO REASON other than he would like to refer us elsewhere. He did not even have the decency to speak to me but had his office staff call instead. I has already paid over $2000 for the multiple office visits and surgery and they refused to refund me the full amount because they wanted to deduct the fees for the pre-op visit!! A pre-op visit for an operation they refused to perform! They scammed me into paying hundreds of dollars in office visits and unnecessary procedures. They billed our insurance, charged us copays and forced vision exams even though we were up front from the beginning that this was a solely cosmetic procedure recommended by our pediatrician and referred by an ophthalmologist. When we tried to decline these unnecessary procedures and vision exams, I was told in person that we would not be charged, but then were later billed. I called multiple

Dr. Zaldivar canceled my daughter's eye surgery less than 48 hours before with no reason other than he would "like to refer us elsewhere". They refused to refund me the full amount for the surgery because they wanted to deduct fees for unnecessary procedures and a pre-op visit: a pre-op visit for an operation they refused to perform! They billed for an unnecessary vision exam even though we were up front from the beginning that this was a solely cosmetic procedure recommended by our pediatrician and we would be paying out of pocket. When we tried to decline this unnecessary procedure I was assured in person that we would not be charged, but then were later billed. I called multiple times about said bills and were told on the phone they would be written off and to disregard them but then 3 days before surgery they called and asked for more money (vision exam and pre op charge after I had already paid in full for the surgery and was told my account balance was $0).

My apt has been nearly 3 weeks ago and I still haven’t receive a coat for my surgery.I have been calling everyday since my apt.I have spoke with several people and all told me that they was going to call back I never receive a call back One person gave me the codes for procedure today 10/14/19 and told me to contact the INS company myself to receive my cost.When I contact the INS company I was told they couldn’t give me a price because a claim has not been filed.I am so disappointed because I feel like I’m doing the front desk job.I never experience this before any where else I go for medical procedures I get the cost the same day.After speaking with my INs company I called back and of course I was told someone will give me a call back My apt has been nearly 3 weeks ago and I still haven’t receive a coat for my surgery.I have been calling everyday since my apt.I have spoke with several people and all told me that they was going to call back I never receive a call back One … More

Dr. Zaidivar is one of the most helpful plastic surgeons I have met. I was in need of emergency eye lid surgery do to (I'll be frank) old age. I am a very active still working clergy person. Reading is so important to my work. My situation was rather complicated and needed several visits. Dr. Zaidivar and his team reassured me that they would take care of me until the condition was corrected and I could see again. The entire team is professional, kind, polite and patient. Unusual these days in medicine. Over several visits I was always greeted by name, with smiles and concern by the entire team. If you are in need of eye plastic surgery then you will be pleased with the skill, care and kindness of Dr., Zaidivar.

I had excellent results, and believe Dr Zaldivar is highly skilled in his field. He does work in 3 offices, and maybe that's why the front office experience is lacking. If you can get over the wait time, etc. etc., what really matters is the expertise of the Dr. for why you are there

We were very pleased with Dr. Zaldivar, but as others have stated, the office staff is slow to respond, if they even respond at all. I had to call six times prior to my son's surgery to get anyone to call me back. When you call the office, it ALWAYS goes to voicemail. I think it would be more professional if the practice had an actual person answering the phones.

my experience was great..but like a previous comment, my office procedure took place in 2017...never received a statement regarding payment..13 months later I received a statement ..

Office (support staff) needs immediate attention! My surgery was logged in as an office appt. instead SURGERY at Rex in Cary. Even got a confirming text. Scheduled this surgery face to face with them before leaving their office in Cary. Couldn't get anyone to answer phone for days and they only returned 1 call. Finally got surgery confirmed and now they have called to reschedule it to another day. Will be looking for another doctor.

Staff was very unprofessional, especially the lady who scheduled my surgery. Received no bills when I was under the physicians care and then 2-3 years later I got a collections notice. I tried to speak with billing and the lady who does that got back to me weeks later. I wouldnt recommend this office. Take your money elsewhere.

Great bedside manner

Dr. Zaldivar has given me the best information about my procedure. He keeps you informed as you move through your process. He is very detailed, open, honest, and upfront with you. Give you the best case scenario, pros and cons of your procedure. He also has a great sense of humor and has the ability to put you at ease. He makes it very easy to talk to him and is open to all your questions.

I have had upper eyelid surgery with dr. Zaldivar and think he is great I could not be more pleased!

Dr. Zaldivar was wonderful. I was left with a large open wound on my face after leaving my dermatologist, and he came in on a Saturday with his assistant to fix me up! He was kind and gentle. I would highly recommend.

I called and was told that the charge for the initial visit would be $100. When I got to the office I asked again, and was told the same thing. I paid my share ($75) up front. The only thing Dr. Zaldivar did during this visit was to hold up his old cell phone and take one picture of each eye. I was surprised when they sent a bill charging $239 for the consult, $82 for eye photography, and $130 for the visual field exam. Total rip-off. Dr. Zalidvar is crook, plain and simple.
