BEWARE!!! If you are new to Dallas and need an endo do NOT go here. Yes they will try to squeeze you in but do not let this fool you to think they care. If you get past the phone/front desk officers there is still not going to do much beyond that. He is extremely rude and condescending an so is his staff. He single handed has almost killed my daughter as he just kept saying everything was her fault with ZERO help in approximately 20 hospital visits/stays and now being dx with gateopherisis which he never even tried to help with. Long story short if you want to stay alone do not go here! Lastly never ever miss an appointment even if your hospitalized because the office staff will hold you hostage for that $25 missed office visit even if you NEED to speak to or reschedule. BEWARE!!! I was diagnosed with juvenile debeties in 1979 and Dr Sachson was my first endocrinologist, and he was the best. Went to him for six years and would still be using him if I'd not lost my insurance. Honest, straight forward and blunt. Would explain to me what l needed to do and how to manage my diabetes and then left it up to me too follow his instructions. So happy to see he's still kicking it and leading a new group of young doctors. Love you Richard. I've thought about writing this review for awhile. I saw Dr. Sachson when I moved to Dallas ~6 years ago & was in my early 20s, but eventually stopped going to him due to how I was treated. He was very condescending to me, commenting on my weight nearly every visit but not in a professional manner. He was generally rude to me, but being younger and intimidated I thought it was normal. I now see a new endo & every time we have an appointment, I can't help but remember how much differently I was treated with Dr. Sachson. It truly put me off of seeking healthcare I needed when I was already struggling & alone in a new city. I've thought about writing this review for awhile. I have been a patient of Dr. Sachson for almost two years, I can be a high maintence patient at times (I also dabble in the homeopathic treatment world as well which Dr. Sachson tolerates but give clear guidance about which is nice). Dr. Sachson and Amie (his PA) who commonly works with/speaks to patients on his behalf is always a pleasure (both Dr. Sachson and Amie respond very quickly via email and phone call (which is huge because I can’t have even a small procedure without their knowledge/involvement because of my issue. Amie is patient, warm, and kind but the message is always direct, clear, and I honest- which is a big deal because sometimes I can get a brain fog where I can get repetitive or mixed up. I’m never confused about exactly what they think or want me to do or exactly what is going on- which helps tremendously. Even when the pandemic hit and everyone was in the dark I was able to zoom appointments and never felt forgotten about or on my own. I’m sure they received 500 of the same questions that day, but handled my concerns with care. I have also seen quite a few Dr.’s for my situation (most of which were good) however Dr. Sachson was/is clearly the most experience in my matter by far. He knew my “medical story” even before I shared all of It.. His internal systems knowledge is so impressive he knew the chain reactions of everything I was dealing in our first meeting alone, no one else got that far- his experience is apparent which is worth noting as my issue is rare. Based on this I have security so I no longer feel like my medical issues consume everything. He definitely doesn’t treat me like my life is held back which in turn makes me not treat myself that way. Go to Sachson for Type 1 Diabetes. Office set up well for education, appointments, and technology. Knowledgable staff knows how to get the CGM's and insulin pumps uploaded so the health expert can see what is going on and advise you.

Dr Sachson is one of the best doctors I have been to. He is honest to his patients and doesn’t send you on a wild goose chase from referral to referral. He get straight to the point!

Dr. Sachson has been my physician since 1979. He is thoughtful and thorough, but his schedule is packed so is reluctant or unable to give as much time as one might want when discussing medical concerns. However rushed he may seem, he is clear in discussing health outcomes, and medications. He can be a scold, but that's his nature. If you don't follow his directions, he can get a bit testy, but he speaks what he understands to be true. I would recommend him.

Dr. Sachson came highly recommended. He is very efficient and knowledgeable. He knows how to get right to the source of the problem and does not waste your time. My daughter and I have both gone to him with very successful results.

I'm a complex case and Dr. Sachson understands that. It was difficult to find an endocrinologist who had any sort of background or understanding in my condition but Dr. Sachson not only has it but keeps up on current research and treatments coming down the pipeline. He also speaks to me as someone who understands what is going on as opposed to treating me like an outsider when it comes to my own health and welfare. The office isn't the best, and the nurses, but the doctor himself is great.

Haven’t really gotten the care I needed. Took a test or two and have several issues w sleep apnea and low T. Yet no one reached out to me to talk about my struggle. My PCP seems to do an amazing job rather then big talk doctors. All do respect.

Dr. Sachson is very knowledgeable, and he takes the time to discuss my problems with me. Since I had acromegaly many years ago, he still sees me every 6 months for follow up lab work and exams. I honestly believe Dr. Sachson is the best endocrinologist in Dallas!

I've been a patient of Dr. Sachson's for over 10 years. He has been a great physician who is patient and answers any questions I have. He typically does have a resident or student that shadows him, which I don't mind. My only complaint is the wait time and ease of scheduling appointments as he's consistently booked months and months in advanced.

Dr Sachson is extremely knowledgeable about autoimmune disorders and I feel very confident in his care. His office staff used to be horrid, and it’s clear he’s taken steps to create a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I wish he had more time to spend with me, but then when he used to, it was often an hour wait. I’ll take less waiting any day! I really like the patient portal and communication system.
