Richard Sherman

Dr. Sherman has been my orthopedic doctor for 25 years. He replaced my knees 24 years ago and they are still perfect.

Dr. Sherman is the best! Unlike other doctors I have seen, he is committed to helping me continue to run with an excellent plan of care. He is skilled and compassionate. I have complete faith in him.

Dr. Sherman takes his time to listen, examine, and explain. He is patient and answers all my questions thoroughly. Also, his recommendations and treatments work!

Dr. Sherman has been helping generations of my friends and family. He is a great man and a great doctor! We're so fortunate to have him put us back together after mishaps in our lives. May he be blessed with many, many more years of health and restoring us to health!

Dr. Sherman has been my doctor for close to 30 years. I always have gotten great care, and his ability to find the correct root of your issue, with me knee, foot, back, hand ,and then puts a plan together to get your feeling great. There is no other Doctor that I trust, and have always followed his care plan. Easy to talk with and trust.

My experience with Dr Sherman was excellent!

Great Drs, especially Dr Richard Sherman. Very caring and thoughtful. Easy to talk with and Dr Sherman always enough time to listen and answer all questions.

Dr. Richard Sherman has been my orthopedic surgeon and physician for 20 years. In addition to providing my care, he has been providing orthopedic medical assistance to other members in my family and relatives. Dr. Sherman has provided his caring wisdom and medical expertise in treating, including surgeries, my orthopedic physical health in support of my participation in over 250 distance road and trail races and 30,000 training miles. And, at age 67, I’m still able to pin on racing bibs! I have been using IBJI for many years. I have always been treated with respect along with their vast knowledge on what ever health issue I am dealing with. I trust them.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sherman for many years, and he has operated on me for numerous knee and shoulder issues. He is always friendly, considerate and extremely competent – and he is a very skilled surgeon. I “graduated” from IBJI this past Tuesday, and from my first appointment to the last my experience with the staff and Dr. Sherman was excellent. I was treated so kindly when I was in excruciating pain from a fractured humerus. Everyone was very gentle and patient during X-rays, and Dr. Sherman understood how scared I was of being in more pain when he examined my shoulder. He never touched my arm until he knew he wouldn’t hurt me. I am so grateful for his empathy, expertise and knowledge for the best way to help me heal and fully recover. I have been a patient of IBJI for many years for various reasonss, friends and family members have also sought out their care. IBJI has always provided great care.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sherman for years. He has treated me for knee issues for about 20 years. He always takes time with me to figure out what the current problem is. Dr. Sherman is professional, kind, and caring - everything you want when you’ve got an injury you need help with!

Dr. Sherman has scoped both my knees in the last 18 months. Wish I had a third.????

Dr. Sherman is extremely kind and compassionate. He spent a lot of time with me and answered all of my questions. Dr. Sherman is very patient and, when I had a follow up question, he called me within an hour. Dr. Sherman is. Great doctor!

Dr. Sherman is a very caring doctor. He communicated well with me, calling me before and after my surgery asking if I had any questions or concerns. He did outstanding surgical work on my shoulder. I highly recommend Dr. Sherman for his surgical skill, beside manner and going above and beyond for his patients.

Dr. did my shoulder surgery years ago and my shoulder is 120% better! He did my knee replacement Dec. 2019 and I feel great. Most important in my opinion is that it takes time to fully heal and your body will let you know. Took about a year for both. Dr. Sherman not only addresses concerns before, but after he continues to keep up with rehab progress.

Dr. Sherman performed surgery for a meniscus tear several years ago. Post surgery I was shocked to discover my lower calf bowed outward. It was very noticeable and not like that prior to surgery. I expressed concern about this to him and he dismissed it saying it was due to arthritis. While pain was minimal, I walk with a limp and the deformity has grown more severe. I now require a total knee replacement and it has also affected my hip. Dr. Sherman is very professional and takes adequate time with patients, I cannot recommend him for surgery.

Wow! Knowledgeable, kind and caring orthopedic physician. I’m grateful for the outstanding treatment I received for my knee issue.

I picked up my 8 yo son from school right before lunchtime because he hurt his knee in gym. This is the first time we used walk-in vs. an appointment but since it was his leg, I didn’t want to go home & then go back out. We walked in to IBJI and at first was told that we may need to wait an hour because the morning doctor was leaving & the afternoon doctor would be there at 1. Dr. Sherman stayed a little longer to help us and we were very grateful. Thankfully, nothing was broken but if it was, I know we were in good hands. My son has had a broken wrist and a broken humerus and IBJI is our go to place. I hate that we’re becoming regulars but at least we’re always able to get in and out pretty quickly. Went in this morning at 730am as a walk in which is usually a recipe for long wait. This staff was on the ball and very attentive. Dr Sherman was great and explained my issue very well. Registered, examined, x rayed and treated in and out little over one hour. Can’t ask for more than that.

We had a great experience with Dr. Sherman. My 90 year old mom fell and was nervous she broke something. He fit us in last minute on a snowy day. Dr Sherman and the entire staff were so friendly, warm and professional (despite it being late on a Friday afternoon). They took x-rays and explained everything clearly. We were in and out quickly with my mom’s mind at ease. ??
