Amazing! I first saw him in 2008, he is caring and takes time to listen to your questions. I have recommended him to a family member and now to you the reader and future patient.

I researched best OBs in our area and went with this doctor because of great reviews. First pregnancy, Week 38, I found out through an ultrasound ordered by a different OB ( I saw a different OB because Dr. Altman was out for the week), that my babies head was up, and baby was in breech position. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Altman in every appointment during my third trimester, would feel my belly and state that the babies head is down and to wait for labor. You can imagine the surprise and shock on my face. The following week, I attended my week 39 appointment with Dr. Altman, Dr. Altman proceeded with his routine of feeling my belly and stated again that baby's head was down. At that moment I corrected him and told him babies head was actually up. He quickly did an ultrasound and it was confirmed babies head was up. An appointment was booked later the day for delivery. He attempted a ECV ( where the baby is manually moved to head down position) was unsuccessful because baby's bottom was so wedged down into my pelvis. We had to move forward with a c-section. My plans and hopes for a natural birth were terminated. Because my baby girl was in breech position, she was born with hip-dysplasia of both hips and had to be in a full body brace until month 4. Had Dr. Altman given us accurate information, I could have addressed my baby being in a breech position in a timely manner and had more time to move her head down. I do not understand and will not accept how an OB can get this judgement wrong, as this is their expertise. IN ADDITION to this error, another red flag surfaced prior to this incident. I was 5 months pregnant, I had gotten a rash in my torso area that went to my back. I emailed him asking him about this and he stated it was a heat rash and to get over the counter cream for it. I followed his directions and the rash pain got worse where there was shooting pain from the rash. I went to urgent care and I was diagnosed with Shingles. For the carelessness I experienced, I would give him a rating of zero if I was able to.

Dr. Altman is the best doctor which I have seen in my life. So cheerful, calm, attentive, encouraging, patience,don’t have words to explain..I am really thankful to God that luckily I got Dr. Altman during my high risk pregnancy even though I was looking for a female doctor. When I got admitted, he was busy with surgeries but he find time to check on me and calm me down. He came and delivered my baby after his work hours.His bed side care is extra ordinary which really surprised me. Thank God for him. Big clap for his excellent and support..

Dr.Altman is the best doctor I have ever had. He was just what I needed during my first pregnancy.He spoke so calmly and made me feel comfortable and safe from the get go.I wasn’t scared to have my baby because I knew he was there. He stayed after hours to deliver our baby boy. He helped me after as well. He told me to call whenever I needed and was there for me to just listen and calm me thru my anxiety. One of the best Doctors you will ever find. He’s the best OBGYN you will find around the area. He is polite, patient, listens to your concerns carefully and answers you questions throughly. He is really prompt at responding to your messages via the app in a fast manner. If there was a 10 star option I would certainly give him 10 starts. Truly recommend him. Gosh, there are really no words to describe how amazing Dr. Altman has been throughout this pregnancy for me. This has been a unique and challenging pregnancy for me and every step of the way he's been a great doctor. He's very kind and extremely attentive. I've never in my life had a doctor literally sit in front of me and listen to my concerns. Every doctor I've had is either writing or looking at papers or something, but Dr. Altman, every time will listen and then addresses those concerns. His bedside manner is one of a kind. His staff are the sweetest . I am super anxious this pregnancy and I'm always contacting them. They never make me feel like I'm a bother and they're always quick to respond. If there was anyone meant to be a Dr it was Dr. Altman. I haven't delivered yet, but I'm not as concerned since I've been in his care. I don't think there's a more caring or compassionate OBGYN than Dr. Altman. By the grace of God, we found Dr. Altman while I was around 23 weeks pregnant with my twins. I had a high risk pregnancy and had seen several OB doctors in Modesto and at UCSF. Dr. Altman was the only one who did anything to help keep me from delivering my twins too early. Because of him, I delivered my twins at 30 weeks instead of at 23 weeks. Now, our twins are 3.5 years old and they're healthy and thriving because one man decided to treat me like an individual person and not a statistic. It's rare to find a doctor who will actually sit and look at you and listen to you and care about what you're going through. He even came in on his day off to deliver my twins. He went above and beyond. Dr. Altman isn't just a good doctor, he's an amazing person. Our family is forever grateful for him and blessed that God put him in our path. Dr. Altman is amazing. He was my care provider while pregnant with both of my children. With my first pregnancy I wanted a female Doctor but there were no female doctors available so I was put with Dr. Altman. I was nervous, but at my first visit I felt like I could not have had a better OBGYN. He is very caring, calm, respectful, attentive and knowledgable. Best OBGYN. Dr Altman is an incredibly compassionate doctor. He cares about his patients. He listens to his patients. I’m very thankful to have him as my doctor . Dr. Altman shows wonderful bed side manner too. Great great doctor .

Dr. Altman was my OB when I was pregnant with my son. He was extremely reassuring and knowledgeable in everything. He made my pregnancy such an amazing experience, and his staff was always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Altman. He is the best in his field!

Dr.Altman took very good care of me with my first baby. I highly recommend him he has 5 stars for a reason!!

Dr Altman is very kind, even though he is very busy he doesnt make you feel like he is in a rush he listens to you and tries to answer all your questions! He always welcome you in a very polite manner and doesnt make you feel uncomfortable at all! I am very happy that he was my doctor throughout my whole pregnancy until labor!!! I couldn choose a better OB!
