Saw Dr. Cucinotta for a colonoscopy.....His team was super, friendly and thorough! Scheduled my husband too!

Horrible, just horrible! I had been in remission with my Ulcerative Colitis for a couple months when I suddenly went into a flair. Sent him a message thru MyChart asking if he could switch my maintenance medication because the meds he had put me on stopped working. Fast forward 6 months and even after literally begging him to switch meds he still had done nothing and I was miserable with bloody diarrhea. Simply put, he just didn't care. I found another gastro Dr and he found out within 3 days what was wrong with me...I had a parasitic infection!! LOVE my new Dr and I'd never go back to Dr Idiot. In my opinion he shouldn't be practicing medicine at all.

His entire OFFICE is wonderful! I know them all personally & they really take the time to answer any questions I have.....Great work ladies

Some physicians really are concerned for and want to help people...some are in it for the money. That's Dr. Cuciotta. In our visits with him he didn't come near us, stood in the doorway to tell us what was needed scheduled. After the procedures we were not given any recommendations or advice on what to do next. He is definitely not a people person. Do not recommend this guy for anything. We certainly will not return.

Not very good in the scheduling dept., were supposed to call me back twice, and never did....

Let me explain why they have a four and not something lower DESPITE something I experienced after hours (not yelling just emphasizing)... You see, the office staff that I spoke with initially when setting up my appointment was very nice. However, an after hours answering service I spoke to last night had the RUDEST person I've ever spoke to from a Dr.'s office. I'd expressed to the woman that the time I was scheduled to come in for a colonoscopy was too early of an arrival time simply because of my daughters school not being opened that early for drop off. She stated "I'll tell the Dr. you won't be there." I said, "No, ma'am please express why I won't be there... do not just say that I won't be there because that could look inconsiderate of their time and almost like a "no show" type of thing. I'd like to reschedule for the next date they have available but for a later time." She replied "I don't have to answer to you. I will give them the message that you won't be there. " I stated "huh, ...you don't have to answer to me...?" " What are you talking about, I just want to make sure the message they're given is clear as to why I can't come". I then heard a dial tone...? I called back to make sure if it was a mistake or not but then the same woman answered and hung up again!.. Stating, "do not call here again" and made an outrageous comment saying I "threatened" her because of stating to " please make sure she gives them the whole message as to why I couldn't make the appointment" and that I" would make sure they knew what I'd originally expressed to her." I couldn't understand why that would offend her. Again, I'd only asked her to do that because she kept saying "I'll give them the message... I'll tell them you won't be there." but not why I wouldn't be there. I was utterly confused by her unprofessionalism and wondered to myself "What in the world is her deal, I'm just trying to provide the Dr. with clarity?!" My daughter video'd when I called the answering service back and was in unbelief when the same lady answered and had hung up in my ear again... the lady was loud, rude, and most importantly terrible at her job to treat some one with such disrespect! By the second call with me STILL speaking kindly to her I finally got really irritated and let her know that she didn't need to treat me that way and how "no one from his office had been disrespectful towards me" until speaking with her! The office was told about the situation and not only extremely apologetic but rescheduled the appointment for a better date and time and expressed a kind and thoughtful message to me from Dr. Cucinotta who was not pleased at all with how the answering service person treated me. and made provisions where I could avoid speaking with her again. For this, I give them a four for their thoughtfulness and flexibility with changing the appointment. Anita in the office, Julie (nurse) and the nurse I spoke to about prep prior to the colonoscopy procedure are all good at what they do... very kind and considerate in their treatment towards me in preparation for this procedure. Very nice staff and doctor

I don't know if this is a reflection of the doctor or his office, but I was put off a lot. I started getting really sick in Aug of 2016, and he saw me briefly once for something unrelated. I still wasn't feeling well do to constant upset stomach and ibs symptoms, and called his office. The office staff told me that he felt I should give it a a few weeks. Two weeks later I would call again, and was always put off. Finally, in December he scheduled a full scan, and I found out in January that I had gastritis. It had taken from September to December to even get his attention. I don't know if this is a reflection of the doctor or his office, but I was put off a lot. Dr. Cucinotta was highly professional, pleasant, and reassuring through my recent colonoscopy procedure. I was scheduled within a month of calling his office and received only the best, most courteous treatment throughout the experience from his staff and from the entire team at McCullough Hyde Hospital in Oxford.

Dr Cucinotta has zero sense of urgency. My daughter had labs on Monday for an acute chronic Crohn's flare and as of Friday, he still hasn't read the labs. She has been in excruciating pain since he dismissed her from the hospital after a weeks stay. She called his office twice asking for a non opioid pain reliever. The first time he ordered Prilosec. The second time he ordered Xanax. No one deserves this level of poor patient care.

I have been going to Dr. Cuccinotta for over 10 years. I am 51 years old and he has saved my life from a family hereditary colon cancer. Had I not when to him at age 40 for a colonoscopy I would not be here to write a review. I lost to brothers at age 49 and 51of Colon cancer. Get tested early is my advice!!!

Met him at colonoscopy. I was impressed with his ability to get things taken care of. For example, I had had a recent CT scan and he said, "I'll go look at it, " and he did. Based on the results of the CT scan he wanted another CT scan to look more closely at one thing, and he already ordered it. Performed my colonoscopy perfectly, no problems. He smiled when he spoke and was personable. I have not been to his office but met him at the Ross Facility, and I really liked him and the staff there. Felt well cared for. Met him at colonoscopy. I left a review on Google too, but I wanted to say that I liked him a lot when I met him at the Ross Facility. The staff at Ross was great and Dr. Cucinotta was personable and professional. I liked that he gets things done, like looking at test results and ordering tests he wants done. I would recommeded him and the Ross facility. Whenever I called his office prior to my procedure, my questions were always answered and the girls were very nice.

Communication with this office is hard. I tried calling a few minutes ago and I know it rang twenty times and no answer. I have tried to get appointments and office staff will ask the reason and then tell me I don't need to come in for that or they'll say we wlask doc if he needs to see me for that. Crazy! He did treat the hep c and I'm cured.

Communication from this doctor and his office was poor. My questions/concerns were not clearly addressed. At my initial appointment, this doctor asked me a few questions, but did not examine me. I was sent for ultrasound scans, then hurried into surgery for a condition I had not complained about. I was not given scan results or explanations prior to the surgeon's office calling to schedule my surgery the "next day". I felt "railroaded" into a procedure I had no idea was being considered.
