Robert D Kavelman

Dr. Kavelman is my primary care provider (PCP); I have Tricare so I see him mainly for referrals and annual physicals and blood work. Mostly I communicate with him via email and he's great about responding either himself or having his staff call me back. I've never waited long for him during my appointments. I can't understand people who complain about not spending enough time at a doctor's office. Personally, I want to be in and out in like 15 minutes. Do what you need to do and send me on my way. The one thing I dislike is when he's out of the office and I have to see whichever NP is available... those are the ones that I feel are dismissive instead.

I usually do everything through the patient portal. I've never had a problem with my appointments or getting prescription refills. I've always gotten call backs from his clinical staff without having to make an appointment to see him. The woman at the front check-in could definitely be nicer though, she seems annoyed to even be there.

Have not had a visit. Have called three times and every time someone was to call back..... But never has.... STILL!!!!! Not a very professional way to run an office! I love Dr Kavelman, but if the front end receptionists can not do their job, I will find another physician who would be more than happy to take my money instead. When an appointment is not desired (to refill prescriptions) I am forced in to have a visit. When one is NEEDED because of an illness, it seems the office people could care less.

Dr. Kavelman is great. He's been my doctor for over 20 years. He was one of Columbus Regional Healths very best. Unfortunately CRH drove him away. Now he is moving to Franklin and many of his patients have lost a great family doctor. Not too happy with CRH, I can tell you that. CRH made a very foolish decision. I'd start using Johnson Memorial if I could. But I'll be moving soon so I won't need CRH anymore very shortly. If you live in Franklin, check out Dr. K with Johnson Memorial!!!

Dr Kavelman is a kind caring Dr. He really listens and is very knowledgeable. Great Dr..

I have had to call them for test results. I never receive a call. They performed my labs incorrectly and Columbus Regional Hospital phlebotomy department called me at 8:00 pm to ask if I could come in because Kavelmam's office didn't draw a certain tube they needed. Luckily I live close! I had to call them and they told me they set me up with a specialist. They didn't ask me first. They told me that office would call me in a few days. No call. I called specialist & appointment was in 2 days! ??
