This is an excellent practice - very high quality dental care and such a professional and kind staff!

Don't waste your hard earned money and time at this dentist go elsewhere!! They are more expensive than other dentists and do not stand by there work. Dr. Chowning could never figure out why my top crown kept falling out and after giving him many attempts to glue it back and $283w/x-ray's and $129 for just a glue on it still came out. He clearly had no idea what to do to make it fit correctly. He also told me I needed a root canal on my bottom tooth then after drilling a perfectly good crown that was only 1yr old said I didn't need the root canal and made me pay $1931 for a new crown that 7mths later chipped off 2 large chunks of the crown and when I called them they would not stand by their work and turned all the blame on me and my previous dentist. I've since went to Country Lakes Dental in Bartonville (they are wonderful) and knew exactly how to file my top tooth to make it fit properly and stay on for many months now. They also said that the crown Dr. Chowning put on was not a proper fit as to why it would chip off like it did and food was getting stuck under the crown. As much as I hate saying anything bad about anyone I wanted to warn everyone so they don't have all the nightmares I went through at this place!! Go Elsewhere!! They've taken care of my family for years. While I've moved away from Denton, it's well worth planning and the extra drive to maintain this relationship. And Cynthia is the best hygienist I've ever had!!

Went for a cleaning. Staff is very polite, friendly, efficient and considerate of my time. Short wait, less than 10 minutes.

My husband and I went in for our initial exams. They were exceptionally kind, informative, and not the least bit pushy in restorative work. Absolutely loved the time and care we received and as a retired Dental Hygienist would not hesitate to refer people there.

Timberlake Dental is fabulous!! The staff are wonderful and caring, Dr. Chowning is kind and thorough, lovely office--it's a great place to keep your smile looking good!! Love them!! ❤️

I personally am afraid of the dentist from having so many things done to my mouth as a child. Dr. Chowning is kind and not scary at all. I haven’t been good at taking my kids consistently because of my own fears. There is never any judgment and they are such a friendly and kind office staff. I am thankful for their excellent care.

Dr Chowning and his entire staff are a wonderful team. The minute you walk through the door you are made to feel right at home and at ease. I used to dread going to my last dentist, because you didn’t always get the same dentist or hygienist. It made me nervous and anxious. This is not how Timberlake Dental operates. Dr Chowning is my dentist and Jenny is my hygienist every time. Dr. Chowning is professional, friendly, thorough and has never hurt me. Jenny is awesome, she talks to you to make sure you are at ease before she starts and she never makes you feel rushed. Oh, one more thing, they play my favorite music, Christian music. We have been going to Timberlake Dental forever. The staff is like family and provide us with the best dental care.

Everyone at Timberlake Dental is knowledgeable and thorough in dentistry. But what really makes a difference to me is that they treat me with kindness and respect. I deal with severe chronic pain due to fibromyalgia and a post-traumatic headache from a craniotomy (open brain surgery). Dr Chowning and his coworkers took my pain seriously, unlike so many medical professionals who dismiss it as unimportant or simply don’t believe me. They were as gentle as possible while examining my mouth and offered options for anesthesia during the cavity filling procedure. I was going to have my cleaning done while under as well, but full anesthesia is very expensive, so they offered to try the cleaning part with laughing gas first, then if that is not sufficient I can have it done while I am under the full anesthesia when I have the fillings done. All that to say: they care not only that I have what is needed to deal with the pain and they endeavor to make things as affordable as possible. This is SO RARE! Also the office has a relaxing calming atmosphere: I watched videos of Hawaii on the screen the whole time I was in the chair???? My mom has been seeing Dr Chowning for years as well and been very happy with him, which I why I decided to try him out. Timberlake had my highest recommendation. I’ve hated going to the Dentist my entire life. This place is a game changer. Everyone there is super great, warm & friendly. You walk in & they remember you by name. My dental hygienist is the bomb-dignity. Jeanette is the best. My husband goes here as well & luvs her too. Dr. Chowning is very professional & everyone there explains everything so well. The staff is very friendly and always welcoming. They treat you like family, make you feel comfortable about the treatments they recommend. Explained every recommendation to my satisfaction and got the results that were needed for good oral hygiene for my children and me.

I have been a patient of Timberlake Dental for quite some time. The staff and Dr. Chowning are some of the most efficient, respectful, and kind people I have ever been around. The entire staff works hard at making you feel welcome and important. They never over schedule appointments and I have never had to wait very long to be called back for my treatment. I have relied on Timberlake Dental for over 10 years, and am very happy with the doctor and his capable and friendly staff. Dr. Chowning has stayed on the cutting edge of new tech—one of the first with equipment to generate crowns on site, one of the first doing implants. I have benefited from both.
