After a month on consistent styes, Dr. Silkiss was a blessing. She avoided over prescribing medication, but gave me some basic, but helpful strategies to get out of this predicament. I found her patient and very responsive.

Dr. Silkiss is one of the kindest and most assured doctors I have met, it's no wonder she comes so highly recommended! This is my second review the first surgery was Nov. of last year which was excellent! And the second one was two weeks ago in April! I am happy I can see better and stay up later without having tired eyelids!

Ineffective

Dr. Silkiss is the best, very efficient. Had an abscess drained in matter of minutes. She is good at what she does.

1-star reviews here are NONSENSE Dr.Silkiss is the best in the business, hands down. Period. Got a chalaizion removed, 15min, zero-pain procedure. Even when she made the injection for the numbing medicine, I felt nothing. One week, it's healed completely and I'm fine. I had a real nasty infection near my eye caused by a visit w/t a different Doc. He tried to resolve the issue but could not. Dr. Silkiss got the job done, prescribed the correct remedy & the right meds & her Fees was reasonable. She’s also gentle and exact. Dr. Silkiss is a real professional and she conducts herself that way as opposed to some docs I’ve visited who wanted to be my BFF & sell me procedures. I’ve recommended her to my family, so yes, I hold her in high regard. She’s now my “face & Eye” Doctor for life.

I suffered with blepharospasm for years. Botox injections did not work, medications either. After visiting several other doctors I was recommended to Dr Silkiss. She performed bilateral blepharoplasty with myectomy on my eyes and now I can drive again! I feel like I finally got my life back. Dr. Silkiss is OUTSTANDING!! I am fortunate to be one of her long-term patients and cannot express enough how grateful I am that she has successfully protected my eye from nerve damage related to Bell's Palsy. As a brilliant, cutting edge professional and a pioneer in the use of Botox for medical purposes, Dr. Silkiss is an expert at restoring facial symmetry for those (like me) who have been disfigured by Bell's Palsy and synkinisis. After three unsuccessfully attempts to repair my ectropion problem at Kaiser, I was lucky to have found Dr. Silkiss for a second opinion through a recommendation from my new optometrist. Dr. Silkiss was very patience in explaining all my options, along with the pros and cons, providing me with all the information I needed to make informed decision. She provided an option that wasn’t even brought up to me by my kaiser surgeon!! I felt so confident in Dr. Silkiss’s ability that I booked the surgery with her right after our consultation. It has been almost a month since I’ve had my surgery and I am EXTREMELY happy with the result. Dr. Silkiss is an AMAZING surgeon. I highly recommend her. She’s a 5-star+ surgeon! I can't give more stars because I never got past the front office. These days there is little excuse for stone-age methods, and that is what I encountered, a process that was normal 20 years ago but is antiquated today. I made my appointment three weeks beforehand and at that time asked what registration I could do in advance to save time later. "Just provide your insurance info" was the reply, which I did. When I showed up for the appointment it became clear that I would not be seeing the doctor for some time, already offensive since my time is no less valuable than the doctor's. The kicker was the five pages of registration forms that would have to be completed manually. Why weren't those forms emailed to me to be completed and returned when I came for my appointment? I could have typed them, which is not only much easier to read for transcription but scannable for data entry as apposed to the receptionist trying to read handwritten responses and introducing errors into the database by using an outdated method. When I show up on time for an appointment I expect the other party to be as prompt and not to throw delays at me. I'm sorry, Dr Silkiss, that you did not want my business. Dr. Silkiss is no-nonsense and completely effective. And her results are fabulous. My blocked vision has really opened up. Plus, she works in wonderful surgery centers. Several people recommended her to me, including my ophthalmologist and my dermatologist, both of whom are great surgeons themselves. I did have to go through several appointments in preparation, and the first one had a very long wait. But the process went smoothly, and she explained everything I needed to know. Took our 2 year old in to evaluate her eyelid.Dr. Silkiss told her not to scream because her ears hurt? (She was 2!)When it came time to evaluate, she didn't even come close to my daughter, she looked from her chair and said almost indifferently "I don't see anything in her eye." We paid $200 for the visit, didn't even get checked, and baby's eye still in pain.Dr. Silkiss, an ophthalmologist saw her a few days later and removed an eye lash growing inwardly. You should have seen that! Heartless!!

I have never had a worse experience with a Dr.!!! My consultation was scheduled weeks in advance; yet I waited almost 2 hours to see this lady. She came in, no explanation for my wait, asked why I was there, pulled down on my eyelid and said I needed surgery. There was no explanation about the procedure or clarification if both eyes needed to be done. I asked for examples of the procedure and was told to check on line (this would be generic photos - not her work). Very rude. Only 15 min.

After 2 months of wait, I had a 5 pm appointment at her WC office on Friday Sept 1st. They charged my credit card $225 upfront fee. I waited until 6:30 in the waiting room before I was admitted and only to be seen by two others who did unrelated eye exams and recorded everything wrong in the computer as I was watching them type. I left at 6:40 still not seen by her. I have not received an email or call explaining this very unprofessional treatment or refund of my fee. Very disappointing.

Dr Silkiss is the best, my eyelids look great, virtually no scarring 4 months later. Her professionalism, expertise, and artistry are unparalleled.

Dr. Silkiss is very expert. I haven't meet another specialist as skilled and knowledgeable. She was recommended to me years ago by another extraordinary eye doctor. A family member sees her also.
