Dr. Saima Syed

I have been a patient of Dr. Syed’s for over six years now and I have always left her office feeling heard. She’s very thorough with her questions in relation to your overall health. I would highly recommend her to anyone who’s looking for a healthcare professional.

These people never answer the phone.. Had a physical 2 weeks ago.. They told me they would call me on the next Friday to go over my results.. Never heard from them.. I finally had to call them almost 2 weeks later..

Plan to be there a while!

Uninformed Staff & Doctor lacks knowledge

I have been a patient since 2015. It seems that the staff at AIMS has become less and less efficient. At the present time, October 25, 2021, Dr. Syed does not appear to be in her office and hasn't been for quite a while. I've tried to get in touch with the office staff, but the phone just rings and rings and rings. A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to reach someone, who told me Dr. Syed had not been in the office all week, and it wasn't known when she would return because she had a "family emergency". I need a prescription refilled but don't know who can do this since Dr. Syed hasn't obviously assigned another doctor to handle her patients while she is out. In general, this practice has been a huge disappointment. A Physician Assistant, "Dr. Margaret", was helping in the office a couple of years ago and was magnificent! Where she has gone, I don't know, but I truly miss having appointments with her. I could go on and on about the pros and cons of Dr. Syed's practice, but the cons would far outweigh the pros. So sad because they should have been more professional with everything from training employees to cleanliness of office, but especially the WAIT time, which is horrible, sometimes up to over an hour waiting to be called back, then another half hour or so to be seen. I'm just so terribly disappointed in this practice, but I think I've already said that.

Got nothing together never answer phones even another dr.s office costed me a whole day for mri and nothing wow how are u guys in business really. People’s time matters. Getting in touch with your dr. I sa must not days.

I really want to give zero stars. I have never given a review for a dr before. Every time I call the office, I am put on hold for at least 14 minutes. They answer the call, and immediately put me on hold. They cancel and schedule appointments all the time. I have asked for prescriptions to be given for 90 days instead of 30. They say they will, but never do. I give a list of exactly the prescriptions I need, and they fill all of them. The list goes on. There is not one thing positive i can say about this practice. We Pakistanis go to these Pakistani Physicians because we think that they will be more accommodating to our needs because they will understand our diet and our lifestyle and manage our healths accordingly. And why not give them business. But these physicians have no regard and these type of people give a bad name to our community. I went with abdominal pain, had to wait for two hours to be put in room, then another 45 min for her to show up. Spent hardly 15 mins with me, ordered all kinds of Ultrasound for unnecessary testing. Ordered my medicines, I went to pick them up and they were not even prescribed. Now I have to spend the whole weekend in pain. AVOID this physician at any cost. Not worth the visit. They just want to bill and milk the insurance. No empathy. Not recommended at all. I am selecting the star because google won't let me post it without selecting it. I was booked this doctor via zoc doc. On Christmas morning I was really looking for doctor. On site she was only has opening for Christmas Day. Time was showing as 2.15, 2,30,2.45...... I booked 2.15 pm. and got email that my appointment is booked. Me & my daughter drove 1 hour to her clinic and once we were there, this location was closed. I would never go back to this doctor’s office and would never recommend them. I went to the doctor in October 2020. The day I went the system was down because of a storm. The doctor did not come into the office and I had to see her via the Nurse’s phone. I had blood and urine taken and the doctor said she would email me a referral to a surgeon. Up to this day I have not received any lab results, no referral and no follow up. When I called the office it was like I never even had a doctor visit, she could not find anything of my visit in the system. I filled out the new patient documents on paper. You would think that info would be entered into the system when the system came back up. Nothing. But guess what, they did charge my co-pay and submitted charges to my insurance company. I have been a patient at both locations for several years. This year I have not been satisfied with the staff, especially concerning medication refills and having changed my pharmacy provided all necessary phone numbers, fax numbers etc. by phone, in person, by email and by using the Healow app. I still have had enormous delays in getting medication filled and refilled. But today was an extremely Very Uncomfortable situation! My young grandson 9 yrs old, who I supervise their online school 3 times week. Had to ride along in the car and do school in the back seat while I went in to see the doctor. My very well mannered grandson needed to use the restroom, he was granted permission to use it, I showed him where the bathroom was. While he was in the bathroom my name was called and I was taken in the back to get weighed, BP check, temperature check. My grandson came out of the bathroom, attempted to leave by way of the front office area and front office door. And he was told it's locked and to exit out the back door. I was not thinking quickly, being ill. I was nervous about this request, my young grandson could not be seen by me from inside the doctors office nor by my adult daughter parked and sitting inside the car directly in front of the office door. He had never been to the doctor office before in his young life, and never to the area where its located and that includes navigating the doctor's office. I was very upset by this. I should have said no to him, wait for me to take you out the front door. I regret that I didn't act on my heart. I did make sure before they placed me in the exam room that I checked to make sure he got back to the car, I hate to think if something is awful had happened to him trying to find his way back to the front of the office building. I would never forgive myself or whoever told him to use the back door had something bad happened to him! I now an so infuriated at myself for not speaking up then and there. And at the staff person who insisted my grandson use the back door!!! Never will I set foot in this office or the Snellville office again!!! And I loved seeing Dr. Syed! She is such a Wonderful Doctor! Her staff are not!

Loganville location. So unprofessional! The staff is all new and you call and they have you on hold for an hour and then they just hang up on you. You go in and the nurse tells you one thing and then you call back and they tell you another thing and yelling at you. And then you make an appointment and you have to wait for two hours to see you and then they call you in and it’s another hour wait to see someone and they are not even busy. And the front desk people are so rude.

Doctors are supposed to care about their patients. They take an oath to heal the sick, not harm them. My mother has a serious condition, and with it came severe trauma and pain across her body. She came to this doctor to receive treatment for her pain and was turned away not once, but three times. She would schedule appointments and not enter the room until two hours after her scheduled time and then only end up meeting with a nurse. Saima Syed would consistently disrespect her patients. She would leave her with high fevers in the waiting room while she would go home. She did this three times with no warning, she would just leave her patients with the nurse. We had appointments, we were scheduled to meet the DOCTOR, but she decided that we were not important enough to be present at the appointments. I do not recommend this doctor at all. Go anywhere else, just not here. Hopefully you can find a doctor that cares about their patients, because you can not find that in dr. Syed. Doctors are supposed to care about their patients. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would HIGHLY recommend not going to this doctors office at either location. I've been to both and needless to say all they want is your money and have no respect or care for their patients. I was told by 2 different office staff that it was illegal to give abnormal test results over the phone and that I really needed to come in to discuss this with the doctor. Well after the AWFUL experiences I had at both of the locations, I never wanted to go back. I requested a copy of my medical records which they gave me excuse after excuse why they could not give them to me but once I said you cannot refuse someone a copy of their own record they told me I could come get them. I went, picked them up and come to find out there was nothing abnormal about them. Maybe a number off the normal for a few of them but NO reason for them to have me come back, pay another copay for the doctor to tell me realistically NO new information. They told me that I had REALLY abnormal results when that was 100% not the case. How you could tell a patient that and upset them to the point where they think something is really wrong when it absolutely is not! I know now why they did not want me to have a copy of my records because what they told me was LIES! If you want to be met with rude front desk assistants, absurd wait times, and a complete lack of professionalism then this is the place for you! If I could give 0 stars I would. Does not give thorough evaluation. Takes patients off medications they have been on for years with no real explanation other than that is what she thinks is best. Very condescending.

Dr Syed was wonderful she answered all my questions in a detailed manner. He staff was very nice and got me in quickly I highly recommend her.

WOULD recommend this practice to my family and friends. awesome practice--looks like its under new management dr syed is one of a kind-staff was so caring and polite.

Would not recommend. Office staff turnover is high. Different people every month. Rude front office staff. Regularly screw up medication and refills, one time I picked refills up and was prescribed a cancer medication in error. Always a hassle getting refills and they want to schedule every month to drain your insurance, just for refills. Lab results never told to you. Now they have a nurse practioner who fills in for the Dr. and Dr. is NEVER there anymore. Billing is a nightmare.

Dont believe the reviews with high stars because they are related. Very lazy doctor. I guess she's the only one at this location. I had an appointment at 12pm and with only 2 people in the building who came AFTER me...I still had to wait until 1:55pm to be seen. That is absolutely ridiculous. They book appointments for the hell of it. Like if you know you take 2 hrs to check a patient for a routine check up, then book the appointment with a gap, why make us wait 2 hours, this happens every time so I changed my doctor. I went here for the first time and I couldn't believe it. The office looked small, but it was HUGE! It was nice and roomy and very quiet and calm. The wait time was brief and the nurses were happy to assist me. After about 5 or 10 minutes, Dr. Syed came in and had a smile on and greeted me and started her work. She talked about my problem in great detail with no hesitation, she knew what she was doing and she prescribed the medicine. The very next day, I went to my Walgreens and picked up the medication. Arrived 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork for new patient and my appointment was at 9:45 I didn't get taken to a room until 10:40 and wasn't seen until 11 then was out of the office in 15 minutes. I feel like the entire appointment was a waste of time. She was thorough in listening and suggested a referral for two different doctors even though she's supposed to be an internal medicine doctor. I probably won't be going back for anything else.

She seems like a very kind woman, but unfortunately her clinic is very disorganized, I would have to wait 4 or 5 without my medication after appointments because they would fail to send it to the pharmacy.

I would recommend this doctor to anyone, EVERYONE, if you have a medical problem. She treats patients so nicely and she ALWAYS has a smile on. She makes the funniest jokes but when it comes to her patients she is VERY serious and confident. SHe knows exactly what she's doing. She has a VERY good taste in staff because they were very nice and helpful and always had a smile on. Dr. Syed's office is THE BEST!

This is the worst Dr office I've ever visited. They changed their office policy with no notice, regardless of what they say, and now require 6 month check ups instead of annual and a person in the office tried to blame it on insurance - which was incorrect. They clearly just want more visits to get more money. I would never recommend this place.

Personnel were inattentive and unfriendly, and have refused to send my claim info to my insurance company for the last three months which means I am out the money I had to pay out of pocket for my visits. Have been trying to call every week and even spoke to them in person about this issue; calls are never returned and the in-person visit yielded a "someone will take care of it" response, and of course nothing after that.
