Dr. Sandra Annette Dixon

Sandy is very kind, caring, competent and effective. I have seen several therapists before and Sandy has been the most helpful to me. I feel very fortunate to have found her.

Sandy claims to be a trauma/dissociation specialist, but doesn’t do so well when dealing with actual dissociation. I was treated putatively when I became confused/dissociative in her presence, and was later terminated over email. Sandy was not responsible in making appropriate referrals.

Sandy has been patient, compassionate, and insightful with me through both crisis and long term ongoing therapy situations. She has absolutely been the right therapist for me at this time in my life. But therapy is about fit, so I wouldn't choose or reject a therapist based on online reviews. I hope that if you're looking for a therapist, that you find someone who has been as useful to you as Sandy has been for me.

I am a colleague of Dr. Dixon and have worked with her and been closely familiar with her work for 17 years. I know her to be an ethical and deeply caring clinician with a deep and varied knowledge base, incredible interpersonal skills, and a huge heart. I would recommend her without reservation.
