He did an ablation, shut down my AV Node and implanted a defibrillator all at the same time. He and his very competent nurse, Jackie, spent all the time in the world prior to these procedures explaining everything, answering my questions, etc. I am a little shocked by the negative experiences cited in this short list of reviews. My wonderful EP in this same practice (whom I have seen for 16 years including 12 ablations) picked him to do it--she said she didn't have the adequate training which is saying a lot. He didn't get near his phone and I can't imagine how he flubbed a p/m installation. As for the phone, he may have had someone at death's door and was awaiting such a call. I am sure it wasn't personal business.

Customer support has been absolutely horrendous. I’ve been calling multiple times per day to try and schedule something after being referred here. The phone is hardy ever picked up, and no one follows up with me even after leaving voicemails with emails/call back numbers. If you’re referred here I’d save the headache and look to see if there’s anywhere else you can go until they fix this. It really is that bad, at the end of the day just unprofessional. While Dr. Durrani is an excellent surgeon, there are at times communication issues between himself, his staff and the patient.

Dr. Durrani has done both a cardiac ablation and installed the Watchman device in my heart. He is top notch and did a fantastic job in helping my AFib and getting me off of blood thinners!

Dr. Durrani practically saved my life by monitoring a heart arrhythmia I developed. He is top notch in his field

Dr. Durrani performed a cardiac ablation procedure on me to correct timing problems within my heart. A normal procedure takes about an hour. The extra timing cells in my heart were in a very unusual location. Dr. Durrani spent over 4 hours locating and eliminating the cells. My son had a similar procedure performed in a different city where the doctor gave up after two hours without finding the cell that needed to be eliminated. I am thankful to Dr. Durrani for his knowledge and perseverance.

Had my cryo ablation in May 2014 and other than a few short episodes I can say I'm afib free. Dr. Durrani is totally professional and extremely capable. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand and sing you a lullaby, you might want someone else. But if you want top quality care, you can't go wrong. I feel fortunate to have had him as my EP.

Poor follow up post surgery . Ended in ER twice due to Pseudoaneurysm that He told me to walk it out via phone . Refused me help when I called screamming . He said pain not associated with procedure . I suffered severe pain and spent two days being treated at Hosp. and was told by specialist there that my pain and blood clot was direct result from procedure .I had follow up with vein Dr and Cardiologist . I am now referred to a Specialist for evaluation . Shocked and dismayed of treatment .

I found Dr. Durrani to be very informed, courteous and spends whatever time the patient needs to understand a potential procedure and answers as many questions as you have. In the OR Dr. Durrani and his team were very communicative - making sure I was relaxed and comfortable. Post op he came by to make sure I was ok. Compared to the top cardiologist I previously saw at NYC Columbia Presbyterian #3 in the US - I think Dr. Durrani is world class #1 and I feel very lucky to have found him.
