Poor front Staff and Customer service . The pediatrician was very kind and Knowledgable, unfortunately that was not enough for my newborn and I to continue to patronize this Office. I was told my baby had Jondis, I never got a call with the results for her labs, I called several times several days in a row to get the results in order to proceed with precaution for the disorder , No one returned my calls with my lab results for my 2 day old baby. Would not recommend .

Dr Sankaran has been my child’s pediatrician for over 3yrs but unfortunately now that his practice has grown; he hasn’t been able to monitor his front staff’s customer service capabilities. Dr Sankaran “used” to believe in the core value of patient care / customer service and although with growth; comes challenges but the inappropriate behavior from his front staff member Taylor Wright is baffling. Not only has the professionalism declined but so has the quality of care. For all those reading this review. I (too) am a healthcare provider and if any physician choose quantity or quality; please re-evaluate your decision when it comes to allowing this practice to assess your child(ren). Great Bedside Manor! LOVE DR. SANKARAN! Friendly, helpful, caring office staff! Easy same-day sick appointments which is so convenient. 2 children

Superb pediatrician... Dr. Sankaran has cared for my family for decades. Children, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends. My oldest child is 23 and he cared for her since birth. I have triplets boys also so appointments are CRAZY but the Staff is always so professional and kind, he is genuine with all of his patients and cares for them like they were his own. Once My baby girl had knee pain.... and I thought it was a pulled muscle or perhaps she injured it at school... but with a fever, Dr. Sankaran knew to get her immediate attention and she was diagnosed with septic arthritis in her HIP JOINT not her knee and even had to have surgery to remove fluid from her hip. HE IS SO OBSERVANT and diligent with CARE.. BEING A MOM of SEVEN I have plenty of stories to tell and they are all good! YES, I give this practice 10 stars … I love Dr. Sankaran! STAY AWAY!!!! I would highly recommend staying away from McDonough Pediatrics. Their lack of service and helpfulness demonstrates their true value for their business. We recently moved and I found McDonogh Pediatrics online. I called to asked if they did walk ins and they confirmed with the doctor that they would until 3:30. I arrived and signed my sick 5 month old and confirmed I was a new patient. The lady said they only do walk ins for already established patients or new patients. Confused I

I wish I could have given them a 0 stars. Doctor Sankaran prescribed my child medicine which he knew (or should have known) she was allergic to. When my daugther and I were called to the room to be seen I was asked "Mom, what is your child allergic to?" I immediately stated and as clear as a sunny day "AMOXICILLIN!" The nurse I see writes this and says ok in acknowledgement. Sidenote: Me and significant other just found out my youngest was allergic the month prior; it scared the mess out of us so I would/ could never forget my baby was and is allergic to amoxicillin. Doctor Sankaran comes in and asks her issue then listens to her chest. I tell him her symptoms. He states he would prescribe her an antibiotic and allergry nose spray. He spent less then 5 minutes in the room.. On the way out he states he will sent prescriptions to our pharmacy for me and wait about 1 hour to pick up. I thanked him. HE NEVER MENTIONED THE NAME OF THE MEDICATIONS. I go to pharmacy drive thru. Give my child name... I was given a total .. I pay.. get meds in drawer and was given instructions for nose spary and advised to put the antibiotics in fridge. I pull off and open stapled bag and it's amoxicillin. Really??? I called the doctors office and long story short they admitted I told the nurse she was infact allergic to amoxicillin but stated the doctor is in a habit of asking again when he enters the room because he doesn't have time to read the slip the nurses write.. the same slip that says what the patient is allergic to. Well... today he wasn't in that habit. He ever ask. If he did I would have told him just as I told his nurse. I was offended and upset. Long story short I will never return. Wonderful Doctors office!!!!!!

When my boys are able to see Dr. Sankaran he is wonderful!

Never had an issue with this office. Even if my kids don’t have an appointment, they are seen. They even went as far as giving my infant Now toddler formula on every visit and it was enough to last 2 weeks.

Always long wait times to get treatment. Do not remind parents of upcoming shots. Misdiagnosed and sent away an infant that actually had pneumonia...

I love this doctor. He's great with all of my children. We love him! If you are looking for a doctor. I would recommend him.

My daughter suffered from severe asthma from birth. She was hospitalized for almost 2 weeks at the age of 3. We took her to Dr. Sankaran, who KEPT HER ALIVE, KEPT HER OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AND KEPT HER HEALTHY. My daughter LOVED Dr. Sankaran. When she did get sick, she WANTED to go see him. In addition to setting the Gold Standard for Pediatricians, I believe he loves his patients as much as he does his own children.

<3 MY sons pediatrician

Dr. Sankaran was my doctor my whole life and now he is my daughters. I love the staff they are all very friendly and connect well with the parents and patients. I wouldn't trust my daughter with any other doctor

I have known him for almost 9 years I take my son to him and as always Dr. Sankaran has been right on the mark no matter what my son is having problems with. I love him and so does my son and my granddaughter who will be returning to his office come June 1,2016

I took my 11 year old on a Monday at 8:20 AM; before they were open. I did not have an appointment. I signed in and was the first patient to be seen. I choose to see the Nurse Practitioner as I am self pay. My family has been a patient here for 6+ years. I can only praise them. The entire experience is always as it should be. Very compassionate staff, professional and clean. Both Doctor and N.P. are a great choice for the health of my family. Thank you Doctor Sankaran and Staff.
