Shana Nicolle Wingo

I was referred to Dr. Wingo by my gyn in Prescott in June of 2022. At our first meeting, I was immediately put at ease by Dr Wingo's calm and caring presence. I was very impressed with her knowledge and the down to earth manner in the way she explained my condition and the recommended procedure. She performed a total hysterectomy and did an excellent job. The recovery was easier than expected and her staff has provided great followup care.

Dr Wingo and her staff are wonderful. Very caring, very knowledgeable. After surgery, my incision looks awesome.

Dr. Wingo is absolutely the best! She recently removed my ovaries because there were cysts on them. She is so approachable, and has the most wonderful bedside manner. And her surgery skills are phenomenal. It was a crazy and anxious time for me, not knowing whether the cysts were malignant or benign. She made me feel so comfortable. Even if they were cancerous, we'd put together a plan to fight it. They turned out to be benign, but knowing she's in your corner makes you feel so loved and welcome. I would HIGHLY recommend her! Dr. Wingo was recommended to me by my daughter who works for the Cancer and Blood Specialists. We drove from Texas for an appointment with her. She was everything we had heard about her and more. She was professional, down to earth, made you feel that you were the most important patient she had seen that day. I would highly recommend her. She is a truly exception doctor and person. Thank you Dr. Wingo for a very wonderful experience, it was worth the trip. I would give Dr. Wingo a 5 star rating.

Thank you dr Wingo for taking care of me during one of my most frightening times in life. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer early in January and immediately sent to see Dr. Wingo within 2 days. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease as she explained exactly what would need to be done in surgery. 8 days later I was having surgery at T-bird hospital. Even the nurses expressed how great dr Wingo is. I was blessed and came out cancer free and have her to thank???? Although Dr Dalton has taken over for her at Az oncology I will always be so grateful to Dr Wingo. I saw Dr Wingo for the first time a few days ago, and from the very second I walked into her office, I felt comfortable. The receptions staff was kind, friendly, made me feel like more than just a patient, but a friend. Dr Wingo herself......carried on that same demeanor thru the appointment. I asked questions, she asked me questions....it was very much a give and take. Her P,A. and surgery scheduler......hands down the best of the best. Dr. Wingo has gone over and beyond for me. She even made time for me on her birthday, when I went to the ER. Dr. Wingo is the BEST! I met with 3 different oncologists and by far Dr. Wingo out shined all the rest. She was the most detailed in her explanations of what treatment she proposed. She was so kind, gentle, soft spoken, she made me feel so comfortable in a difficult time. Her surgical skills are amazing and my surgery could not have turned out better. She is highly qualified, an expert in her field and comes with high praises from the hospital staff as well other physicians in and out of her field. There's a reason Dr Wingo has all 5 star reviews....she's AMAZING. I found out 1st week of July from the gynecologist that i had endometrial cancer. I was floored. I hadnt seen a doctor in 30yrs. She sent all my info to Dr Wingo, who then explained everything to me. She's sweet, funny, makes you feel like she's known you forever. I just had a full hysterectomy 2 weeks ago. Im not gonna lie, i was petrified in the hospital but every single person told me how lucky i was i had Dr Wingo because she's the best in the industry. They weren't lying. Surgery went fantastic, back on my feet in days and just found out today from her that im CANCER FREE. Stage 1, no spread. Love this lady!❤❤❤❤100 Stars from me. Dr. Wingo is the most caring and brilliant doctor I have had, yet down to earth, approachable and thoughtful. She is clearly patient-centered by soliciting input at every step of diagnosis and treatment. Her staff are excellent and dedicated to patients. They love working for Dr. Wingo. She brings joy to everyone around her, even in the midst of a life threatening disease. I absolutely love her!

Dr Wingo is excellent both professionally and personally. I could not have a had a better Dr. Her staff is also excellent. I recomend her to anyone and everyone.

I highly recommend Dr. Wingo! She is very knowledgeable and experienced. But also incredibly kind and compassionate, always patiently answering all of my questions. In addition, Dr Wingo’s whole team were very helpful and professional. I’m forever grateful for everything Dr. Wingo has done for me.

Dr. Wingo is compassionate and has the ability to empathize with her patients. She goes above and beyond to make sure all your questions are answered and that you have a clear understanding of your course of treatment. She is an amazing surgeon. She saved my life and I am eternally grateful that she is my doctor.

I had an absolutely great visit with Dr. Wingo??. She was so kind and sympathetic to my needs. She is the best Dr, I have ever had in all my 58 yrs. She listens and answers all your questions. Love Dr. Wingo, definitely my favorite doctor of all my providers. Seeing an oncologist and going through cancer treatments was definitely scary but she made me feel very comfortable and eased all my worries. Dr. Wingo is one of the best doctors I have ever met. When my mom was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, I went into information gathering mode. When it was time to discuss the diagnosis and a suggested plan of action, I was prepared with 22 questions. I was living on the other side of the country so Dr. Wingo conferenced me in for the conversation. She was so informative, I ended up only having to ask 3 questions which she honestly answered. My mom and I walked away feeling very comfortable with Dr Wingo which is really all I was hoping to get out of that conversation. When the time came for surgery, Dr Wingo kept me in the loop as to what was going on. The one time I wasn't in the waiting room, she personally called me with an update on my mom's status. After the surgery, Dr Wingo had the cancer tested to see if it was genetic. We didn't ask for this. It was important to her because of me, her patient's daughter. It warmed my heart. I am so grateful that I was reffered to Dr. Shana Wingo. I was a little nervous to meet with an Oncologist and found immediately I was in good hand. She is very knowledgable and explains the risks and rewards for the surgery fully. I recently had a 10 cm' fibroid removed by her. All best case scenarios! Thank you very much Dr. Wingo! I would recommender her a hundred times over. Her care of my mother and her time she spend with our large family discussion options was done with loving care with sound information of our options. She also cared for me and did surgery on me which I easily recovered from. She is an excellent surgeon and doctor.

I went to see Dr. Wingo and felt at home Her staff is amazing I had a major surgery that I was scared as hell she always made me feel comfortable and loved .

Dr. Wingo is the finest doctor/surgeon I have ever met. She is the best of the best. She has performed 2 gynecological cancer surgeries for me in the last 18 months and I had no pain or complications afterward. She is kind, compassionate, caring, skilled and efficient. I recommend her very highly to anyone needing surgery in her area of expertise.

Love this woman to the moon and back. I had complications with surgery was down for 5 months. Dr. Wingo checked up on me every morning while in the hospital and called my home several times to follow up and make sure everything was going well. She truely genuinly cares about her patients.

I am an 11 year breast cancer survivor, so I've had some experience in evaluation. Dr. Wingo it's a gift from God! I recently saw her for a check up and was immediately comforted by her smile, compassion, knowledge, gentleness and skills. If I needed further care, I would trust her without any hesitation.

Dr. Wingo is an outstanding physician. I consider myself luck to have had her do the diagnosis and surgery. The surgery was done in the most up to date methods and believe it or not, I had no pain afterwards. Not even an aspirin. I'm grateful to Dr Fernandez for sending me to her. I highly recommend Dr. Wingo. She is very knowledgeable of gynecological cancers and has a way of making you feel like you are her only patient. She takes her time and makes sure you understand all aspects of your treatment. She also is so funny and upbeat.

Precision surgeon! Kind. Excellent bedside manner! Takes her time during her visits to explain procedure in detail & lets the patient ask questions (make sure you know what questions to ask). I had no complications during surgery and very little pain afterwards. My incisions healed nicely with no complications at the incision sites. I did have postop complications. Be sure you ask details about postop risks. Office staff very friendly but communication gaps exist. Papers lost. Incorrect info.
