The best Doctor and counselor ever!!! She help me through so much I can’t thank her enough she is so professional, caring, and understanding. I couldn’t asked for a better counselor.

I am so thankful I met Dr. Leib. She referred me to my current primary 3 years ago. I hadn't had a primary in years. Even when I did, they did nothing. Today, a highly respected Dr. retires. I now have something I've never had. No huge specialist team. This Dr. stated today, "we are blessed to have Dr. Thomas". She will be handling all my medical care. Dr. Leib was able to understand and help during our time together. Something so many other psychologists have shown they won't do. Thank you.

I absolutely cannot believe that someone with e PhD would be so ignorant. If anything happens to a patient you turn away, that’s on you. Mommas, if you have a referral, ask for a different one. Went for my first appt this morning after being referred by my gynecologist for post partum depression. I unfortunately could not find a babysitter for my 1 and 3 year old children so I was forced to bring them with me. I knew that it was not ideal but hoped that since it was my first visit that we could go over general issues and then at subsequent appointments I could find a sitter with more notice. I hoped that since I was referred by a female gynecologist to a female psychologist that my situation would be better understood. I was wrong. As soon as Dr. Sherry saw the children she looked upset. She asked who was going to be watching them and I told her I had no one. She said it was inappropriate for them to be in her office but that we'd try to do the session if I was comfortable with it. She sent me downstairs to check in and while I was waiting she came back and told me that upon further thought she'd decided that she could not see me when my children were present. She loudly cancelled my appointment at the desk in front of everyone in the waiting room. I was humiliated. She told me she'd be happy to see me when I was alone, I told her that was never. I'm a stay at home mother, my family doesn't live here and my husband has a job. She told me "well that's part of the problem" and "if your husband has a job he can afford to pay for a babysitter." She asked me if I had brought the children with me to my gynecological exam and was shocked when I said yes. Some of us have NO CHOICE. Am I supposed to just neglect my physical and mental health until my children turn 18? It is hard enough to admit that you need help, make appointments, check insurance, do paperwork, make it to your appointment, etc without this kind of thing happening. Some of us can't afford to pay for childcare every time we need to go to the dentist, or the gynecologist, or the psychologist on top of copays, and parking fees, and gas. She sat next to me in the waiting room and gestured to the children (sitting there on my lap and behaving perfectly) and said "See? They won't even sit still, they will do nothing but distract you." I told her I had brought activities for them to do and she told me that we needed to guard their minds against hearing what I was going to be talking about with her. Desperate for help I asked if I could try to just refer to things generally and was told no. I started to cry as she dismissed me and walked away. I couldn't help it. Once again I was totally mortified in front of a waiting room full of people by this "professional" discussing my finances, my children's behavior, her thoughts on them being there being inappropriate, my gynecologist visit, and finally walking coldly away leaving me there in tears feeling worthless. One in SEVEN women suffer from post partum mental health issues. An issue so prevalent surely deserves attention from a "mental health professional." Just not this one. Please do not go to see her, you will leave humiliated and in tears. I do not believe she has children but I don't know. I can't imagine she does if she would treat a young mother begging for help in this way. I can't believe I went to her for help and was discriminated against. It is MY choice what is appropriate or inappropriate for my children to hear, not Dr. Sherry's. I hope to never encounter someone so unprofessional again. Above ???? All of this will be heard and shared. No mama should ever be at tears from trying to get help. I wonder if this woman is even a mother, guardian, even a care giver. #mentalhealth should be offered in all shapes, colors and sizes. Especially postpartum ???????????? Hollie is an amazing mama! She works hard and it sad to see this happen to someone so wonderful. I was referred to Dr. Leib after receiving the worst news of my life, Stage 4 cancer. Dr. Leib is an extremely compassionate, caring and competent psychologist who has been "there" for me every step of the way. She helped me cope with my diagnosis when I felt that there was no hope. I have known of Dr. Sherry Leib for a very long time. Dr. Leib is a kind, intelligent, caring and intuitive professional. I am writing this review not as a patient but rather as a trusted friend. While I feel for the concerns raised by any single mother, I do have some issues with The sharp review. First, Dr. Leib is only caring and supportive of her patients. I can attest from the many reviews and recommendations that I am privy to. Second, I know for a fact that Dr. Leib does not treat patients with Post Pardem issues. My speculation is that the referral discussed was likely related to sex therapy as Dr. Leib is certified in this specialty and often referred to by gynecologists. Finally, whether likely related to sex therapy or whether Post Pardem related it would be unprofessional and improper to have such a discussion with a three year old as an audience. This is nothing more than common sense. I trust Dr. Leib’s determination in all cases and based on knowing her character and quality as a physician I am sure she only would take appropriate action(s). Again, I wish the mothers here nothing but the best and best of care. You face difficult decisions on a daily basis. However, this is not the place to advance inappropriate measures of frustration. Use common sense, common courtesy, and professionalism. All I can leave you with is the person I know and the love she has for her difficult job and the great conclusions she has delivered for her patients. Went for 1st appt w Dr. Leib today. I am a stay at home mom referred to Dr. Leib by my gyno for post partum depression and some other issues. I knew it wasn't ideal but had no choice but to bring my 1 y/o and 3 y/o with me. I thought that since it was an initial visit that we could skim over my issues and when I scheduled my next appt that I could find someone to watch them. WRONG. Dr. Leib was completely unprofessional. She said that it was inappropriate to have children with me, she asked if I'd brought them to the gyno with me and was appalled when I said yes. She cancelled my appt right then and there with the woman at the desk and told me to come back when I could be alone. When I said that was never she told me "that's part of your problem right there." She asked if my husband could watch them and when I told her he has a job she said "so he can afford to pay for a babysitter." I've never been so embarrassed and humiliated by a healthcare professional. I will NOT be returning.
