Dr Davis has a wonderful personality and bedside manner. The surgery went well and has healed nicely. Still working through therapy but so far I am very pleased!!

Focused, knowledgeable, personable, Dr. Davis really cut to the heart of what I was experiencing with easy to understand explanations and solutions. I feel pretty fortunate to have her taking care of me. She is in the truest sense of the word a caregiver.

I needed to see a doctor because of the problem I had with my right foot. The doctor I went to before was not available until April so I tried the doctor here and I was very pleased with the way everything was explained to me.

Dr Davis is great. She listened to all the questions. She suggested a plan a action for what she would recommend. She waited for my answers for how I wanted to proceed.

Last June 2022, I was in northern Florida with my wife and son when I had an accident that severely crushed my right ankle. The ER in the town I was visiting was able to temporarily stabilize my ankle, but told me to get immediate attention as soon as I returned home to Saint Cloud/Orlando, FL. When I returned home the following Sunday, I called around Monday morning for an Orthopedic/Podiatric surgeon and was fortunate enough to find Doctor Sophia Davis. I was seen by Dr. Davis the next day, Tuesday, late afternoon. She quickly assessed my situation and arranged for immediate surgery that night. The attending surgical staff was reluctant to operate at such a late hour, but Dr. Davis saw to it that the surgery was performed, otherwise, according to Dr. Davis, I could have lost my right leg, due to a great deal of soft tissue damage to my right ankle and right leg. Dr. Davis is a superb podiatric surgeon and her staff was outstanding. The care at Advent Health was excellent, and Dr. Davis' follow up care was superb. My ankle injury required two additional surgeries, extensive wound care, and then months of physical therapy, all the while Dr. Davis' incredibly kind, attentive, positive attitude kept me and my wife and son confident about my prospects of a full recovery. Sophia Davis is a unique individual. She's always smiling, full of energy, funny, astute, smart, kind and always willing to go the extra mile. Most surgeons I have dealt with over the years see you once or maybe twice after they do your surgery, then they hand you off to someone else. They don't want to be bothered with the aftercare of their patients. Not so with Dr. Davis. She is truly a wonderful, caring and talented physician/surgeon who sees to it that she is your number one advocate responsible for your care and feeling of well being. Today, eight months later, I am walking normally again almost as if nothing had ever happened. I highly recommend Dr. Sophia Davis should you ever need orthopedic/podiatric surgical care. Explained thoroughly my injury, treatment plan and probable prognosis. She did not appear rushed and took ample time explaining my situation. She answered all my questions and gave me the reality of my injury. My kind of doctor!!!

Doctor misdiagnosed me and was unreliable. Thank goodness I used my judgement and sought treatment elsewhere. Provided me inaccurate patient history notes after my visit. After realizing this, I requested another doctor. I was promised a called back within 48 hours and never got one.

Dr. Davis listens and discusses in length regarding me as her patient. She answered all my questions and I really felt that she cared about me as a person and not just a patient.

The visit was good. Appointment was on time and it was very efficient. All of my questions were answered.

Initial visit was great!! She spent time listening and talking . Sent me for scans. Showed me results and explained Everything really well. Had surgery on my foot two fusions. Every process was thoroughly explained start to finish etc. surgery recovery was good as Physical therapy and fillip visits. I would and have highly recommended her. She has a great personality.

Where to start, I've had numerous office visits with Dr. Davis at the downtown Orlando office at the Orlando Orthopedic Clinic, and Two Recent foot surgeries, and I just Can't Say Enough how Great Dr. Davis & Her Medical Team are!!!!! After seeing a couple of doctors all they wanted to do was fuse my deformed foot. Dr. Davis said she could fix my foot, 4 months later I am walking better than I have in 5 plus years. Knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly

I wanted a second opinion regarding a surgery diagnosis I received a few years back to repair a “shredded” tendon. The sheer cost after insurance was a turn off and I wasn’t really sold on that premise that I needed surgery. Fast forward to 2021 and I’m in pain and my legs swell up every night. I’m frustrated because I know something is wrong. So I see a vein and artery specialist have testing done and it was determined my two main veins in my legs are refluxing. Which I learned means the blood is only going one way. Not good but my arteries were perfect clear and looking good according to the doctor. So he recommended an in office operation to cauterize the veins which will redirect the blood and flowing correctly. So I tell him about this shredded tendon. He encourages me to follow up and get a second opinion. He provided a referral one of orthopedic doctors who did his knee surgery. Unfortunately his doctor didn’t specialize in foot and ankle surgeries. I was referred to Dr. Davis. My appointment was was last week and when I met her she said I reviewed the MRIs and I don’t see a need for surgery. I was so thrilled abs relieved. She explained further and said yes there is minor deterioration but I don’t feel having surgery is necessary. She said besides the veins need to be working well or I won’t do the surgery even if I recommended it. The healing process is long with feet and ankles she said it’s the farthest rom our hearts. So we need to get those fixed. She said you also have plantar fasciitis and gave me exercises to s at home and what a difference already those have made! She ended our visit with saying I’m not going to make you come back and see me. If you are having pain still after 5 months or more following your procedure then come see me. Another moment of relief. So with the at home exercises in my hand and walking to my car in awe. That a doctor said she didn’t feel surgery was necessary; I remember thinking what doctor would say that? Thinking about the patient first, Dr. Davis does! In today’s world of waiting months to schedule and hours of time spent only to receive a huge bill for the 20 minute conversation for them to only schedule another appointment causing more money and time to be spent. So to have a professional doctor like Dr. Davis who is honest and transparent it gives me peace of mind and reduced my anxiety and stress. Her bedside manner was perfect and I left educated and with resources in hand to help me reduce the pain I was having no medications prescribed another peace of mind! I have to mention her assistant Michelle I hope I remembered that correctly and the X Ray Tech! Even the check in team very smooth operations in place! I love efficiency and organization! She provided excellent options upon the first visit, then it was recommended that I have surgery for my “injury.” She talked to me thoroughly about the procedures she would be performing, and I never had any doubt. Jackie (her previous medical assistant) and Jackie (her patient care coordinator-she is too funny) are amongst the best I’ve ever spoken to. Her current assistant Michelle is excellent as well and is beyond friendly. The office is clean, busy, very organized, and thorough. Surgery #1 went so well. Her anesthesia recommendations are pretty great. Surgery #2 went flawlessly. Currently recovering in a fiberglass cast (which was such a fun process with the ortho tech). I’ve had ankle surgery before, but that experience was nowhere near as warm and friendly as what I’ve had with Dr. Davis and Orlando Ortho. Dr. Davis was friendly and communicated her diagnosis and treatment plan well. When asked about alternative treatment methods she told me I could “come back in 3 months if it still hurt” and sent me to the bracing department to purchase a special sock for stretching. It felt as though this office uses more of a business model instead of having the goal of treating and helping relieve pain in their patients. $100 later all I have is a sock and a significant amount of pain. Will be seeking treatment elsewhere.

Overall this is a very good place for services. everyone is very pleasant and professional. I've been attending Orlando Orthopedic for many years. My doctors are Dr. Weber for Spinal Stenosis and Dr Vandyke for other services of which both of them have been very good at helping me with my medical problems that I was dealing with. My back have been doing very well without pain and weekness for a few years. I was able to return to normal duities. I have never had a problem until this last experience. I saw Dr Davis for a broken left foot and she gave me a boot to ware for 4-6 weeks. I wore the boot for three days and it completely set me back with my back L3 L4 & L5 by at least three years. I can hardly walk straight and my back and legs have become very week and I am in lots of pain now. I had attended a Neurologist that prescribed Duloxetine DR that was correcting the nerve issues and wearing the boot has complety set me back with that. I am now having to start all over again with the back and nerve issues. I would think that with my records being with that office seeing the condition of my back the doctor would have prescribed something different that would not have caused such damage to my back, it is a very heavy boot. The shoe from Adent Health did more good than that boot. The fact that I have to pay $55 for the boot that I could not wear and has caused so much damage to my back and I am now having to pay extra money to get my back re-alined is disturbing and totally unacceptable. Dr. Davis is AMAZING in every way!!!! She went above and beyond what typical doctors/surgeons provide! She answered all of the million questions we had when we went to see her in her office. She even took the time to call us on the telephone as surgery drew closer to settle our concerns and fears with our daughter having such a big surgery. On the day of surgery, Dr. Davis took the extra time to meet with my husband, who wasn’t able to be present at all the appointments but had questions himself. Even though she had answered several questions multiple times over, she never hesitated to take the time and walk us through it, step by step, once again. Her bedside manner is the absolute best we have ever encountered, which is extremely rare these days. It is almost impossible to find a doctor/surgeon who has both phenomenal skill in their field and is as genuinely kind and caring as Sophia Davis! Dr. Davis treated my daughter for a broken toe. My daughter is extremely shy and was worried about her appointment. After meeting with Dr. Davis, she couldn't stop talking about how amazing she was. The night before her final appointment for her toe, my daughter was tossing a football around with her brother and "jammed" her finger. At her appointment the next morning, I asked Dr. Davis if she wouldn't mind looking at it and after the exam, it turns out her finger was broken. Dr. Davis could have easily said no to the exam of her finger because she wasn't there for that, but she went above and beyond and treated her. Excellent Doctor! She is knowledgeable, personable and so professional while putting the patient at ease.

Dr. Davis decided to take on my case outside of her expertise, which has resulted in a failed surgery. The entire thing including plates and screws collapsed in my arm and after complaining for two months that my thumb would not work being ignored was told I will need additional surgery for that as the tendon is severed. This should have been realized before the surgery! I am now left with facing corrective surgery after two months of suffering in pain and lost work only to be told that I needed to be referred to a hand/wrist specialist who should have addressed this issue from the beginning! I have been told it may never be the same with more scarring, numbness and disfiguration, as well as no guarantees I will have full use of my fingers ever again. I have been declined additional pain medication throughout most of this terrible ordeal and ended up in the emergency room with a hanging wrist in unbearable pain. They could not believe it was left this way - gave me pain medication and replaced my old dirty brace. Hopefully the other surgeon will fix this. However, it is unfair that I have to start all over again - I can't afford this - I am only getting paid a portion of my pay. The insurance company sent all of the paperwork to the office for the corrective surgery in a timely manner in the morning and the office decided to call me at quarter to five on a Friday to tell me they needed me to sign and send back all of this paperwork they already should have had from the previous claim and now I am not going to get paid next week which means I have no money for food or bills while I suffer waiting for this to be corrected surgically next week. I called back and spoke with the answering service and they refused to get this addressed for me. They don't care about my suffering or inconvenience. This is unacceptable! Dr. Davis is nice, but took my case outside of her expertise, resulting in an unsuccessful surgery. I have deformity and hindered use of my fingers which I am being told may be permanent - it will require corrective surgery, months of lost work and therapy to regain use of my hand and fingers again. She is a foot/ ankle specialist, so shouldn't have done this. I am left to suffer - she refused to give me any additional pain medication throughout most of this. I hope another doctor can fix.
