Dr. Stephen A. Brassell

I’ve been under the care of Dr Brassell for about 1.5 years. I have found him to be always focused on my medical issues, while investigating other issues that may arise in the process. His treatment plans are thoughtful and well communicated to me. All the while he listens carefully to me. I could not be under the care of a better doctor.

Terrible bedside manner, no compassion!! If I could rate him lower I would!

Dr. Brassell performed my husband's surgery--excellent surgeon. Visited him in the hospital sometimes twice each day to check on his recovery. Very informative and explains complex issues understandably. Kind & caring.

Dr. Brassell perfomed my husband's complex surgery. He is an excellent surgeon. Explains issues in understandable way. Kind, caring. Even visited my husband as often as twice a day in the hospital. Cannot recommend him highly enough.

I cannot give this man enough credit. We went through 2 urologists before Dr. Brassell. On our first meeting, it was obvious that he had read my chart completely and done his homework. He gave very well thought out recommendations and was completely honest. I was able to avoid chemo because of his thoroughness. He was able to do my surgery robotically, which saved me much recovery time. I highly recommend him. His whole team is beyond stellar, they have all been so helpful and compassionate.

My experience with Dr. Brassell was over the top...very detailed, knowledgeable, respected with a heart. His staff and the folks at St. Luke's could not have done anymore. Even after leaving the hospital, I was readmitted for an issue as a side effect of the first surgery (comon) under another doctor's care, Dr. Brassell even stopped to check on me several times. If my depended on a doctor's care, he would be the one.

I was unfortunately diagnosed with both bladder and prostate cancer. Too much time went by and the tumor in my bladder was much too large and aggressive for treatment, leaving removal of both my bladder and prostate necessary. Dr. Brassell performed the surgery and he and his staff were and are stellar! While I did not want the surgery, I could have found no better surgeon for the job than Dr. Brassell!
