I don’t see how this place gets bad reviews, my experience here was outstanding.I walked in and was taken care of right away, as a new patient i expected to wait a little bit, but i didn’t have any wait time for the initial exam. Everyone was very professional, once in the exam room and normal pre-test done i waited about 20-25 min for the P.A taylor , not too bad considering they are busy. The PA came in and he was awesome, very knowledgeable and thorough, asked a-lot of questions and answered all of mine. Definitely would recommend this place.

Professional staff and Dr Dobkin was great! Front desk was caring and kind, my sister is blind and was very anxious and they were amazing. Mavis is extraordinary and a blessing. I would recommend with a lot more than 5 ????.

He’s an ok Dr, but trying to get anything g done through his office staff was a real head-banging experience! His Medical Assistant was clueless and couldn’t answer any medical questions. At one point, she was outright blaming me for her lack of clarity and understanding. Dobkin’s not that good of a doc to justify this consistent hassle

I had an outpatient surgery done and during out initial office visit he had offered to combine two procedures into on surgery. I didn't realize until well after the surgery Dobkin had only done one of the two procedures. The primary reason for seeing him was to have a uro lift procedure done. He ended up doing the secondary procedure instead. It gets worse. I called and texted his office multiple times during the following days after the surgery and he never bothered to return my call. This guys is a real piece of work and I would not recommend Dobkin if he was the urologist in the Orlando area!!!

This was the longest wait to see a doctor that I ever experienced. I was not seen until 2 hours after appointment time, which resulted in the office being closed. It was after hours and the worst visit. Dr. Dobkin did not answer patient questions directly and gave his own impression of the condition without understanding the patient views.

Dr. Dobkin is very nice and friendly but like everyone else said the office is always behind. I went for an appointment on Wednesday only to be told that the doctor is two hours behind which mean they will close before they see me. We reschedule for another day only to wait for hours in the exam room. Why are they so behind. They need to schedule less patients. I see people leave after waiting for so long. This is unacceptable. I’m afraid I have to agree with most of the complaints with regards to this office and scheduling. Returned to the office today after about five years and nothing has changed. You wait for hours for your appt even when you show up early. I showed up and checked in at 2:05 pm for a 2:40 pm Appt today. At 2:35 pm I had still not been called so I went upstairs. Still waited another hour and a half before the doctor came in to see my father. To say that the reason you wait so long is because the doctor takes his time with you is not entirely true because after waiting a total of 2 hours the doctor spent about 5 minutes with us. I read all other reviews while waiting in my car after checking in via text. I decided to go in and ask the receptionist what is my wait time they told me an hour and a half that’s crazy decided to cancel the appointment.

Completely disrespectful. Did not keep medical consultation with patient scheduled for over the phone. Does not answer phone. Does not return messages. Does not bother to review results of MRI. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone. Due to current COVID conditions my first appointment was done virtually and it went very well. My issue is that I’ve been trying to get my medication for over two weeks because it requires a prior authorization. Typically, this is not an issue for a doctors office but it’s been a Nightmare for me. When I called the office during regular business hours calls, are forwarded to a third-party answering service. I’ve been advised that all they can do is email a message to the office for them to call me back. I left over a dozen messages since June 12th and nobody ever calls me back. I had laser lithotripsy done on me on 11/12. I still have the stent in me still almost 3 weeks later. The doctor offered to take the stent out on 11/20 in the office. I told Dr. Dobkin when I first met him that I only want my stent removed under anesthesia and he was okay with that. The office is a pain to try to schedule things with and this needs to change. I've been trying to get my prescription refilled for 3 days with no response. The pharmacy sent a request days ago. I've gone through the patient portal as well as called the last 3 days. Due to covid you are supposed to arrive early and check-in from your car. They then call you when it's your turn. I arrived at 340 checked in and waited....and waited....and waited. At 440pm almost an hour later I called to get an update, but I was forwarded to "an after hours " voicemail. I was forced to go inside. They apologized and said he was running behind. I was worried they forgot about me, it would have been nice to be told while sitting in my car for an hour with the 100 degree heat. They told me it would be about 15 more minutes and I could wait in the waiting room. 10 min passed and they called me back into a room. I was told the doctor would be in soon. I sat there, in the room, alone for and hour and twenty minutes! Nobody checked in with me, nobody updated me....I just sat there. The worst office in the USA, they always overbooked the doctor, and make you wait at least an extra 2 hours outside in the waiting room, and another 1 hour inside waiting for the doctor, very very poor management, you will get a better service in a 3rd world class medical facility then this one.

He is a good resource - good listener - godd prescriber - overall excellent doctor. Dr Dobkin operated on me when I was a patient at Advent Health East Orlando Hospital. He did a great job addressing my immediate need and also provided a solution to an ongoing problem which impressed me. Trying to get a hold of his office to schedule a follow up procedure has been a nightmare.

Never had to wait more than 30 minutes. But then after reading all the reviews I tried to make my appointments first thing in the morning. Great doctor. Staff is extremely friendly. Never had a challenge with follow up either, but then again, after reading all the reviews I stayed on top of them. Got staff email addresses etc so I could personally follow up.

waiting on test results after a vasectomy, tried calling numerous times and sent to an answering service every time. Never got a call back but we did get a letter telling us they have tried to reach us several times. That was laughable. Getting through to them is like trying to call the fed government.

Long wait. Staff overwhelmed. They say they will call back but nobody does! leave message numerous times but no one calls back. Doctor doesn't follow thru with referrals that he offered to me. Your time is not a concern for them. They routinely have you wait over 1 hour past your appt. Dont schedule anything after your appt you will be late.

My appointment was for 1pm, I did not see the dr until after 3pm. No consideration for my time. Had to go in to work late because he was running behind 2 hours. When I wanted to reschedule I was told there was nothing open for 2 months so I was basically forced to sit and waste my time.

Loved Dr. Dobkin and the staff, but their scheduling must be completely messed up. I never called an office so much just to get something done (like prescriptions sent to pharmacy and/or FMLA forms). The communication with some of these receptionist are horrible.

Dr. Dobkin is a great urologist. Very thorough and caring and so is his staff. He diagnosed my prostate cancer even though most other urologists would not have considered that diagnosis in someone as young as I was. He also recommended the proper treatment plan and I am doing great ,cancer free, for 3 years. Sometimes wait time is long and sometimes it is not but it has never been more than 45 minutes for me and I have been there dozens of timea. I was impressed by Dr. Dobkin and his staff. The only negative is the wait time, but the wait time to see Dr. Dobkin was short in comparison to that of the urologist I had seen previously in Winter Park.

The reviews about Dr. Dobkin made call the office to make an appt. but the poor customer service from the scheduling person made me go to a different clinic. The doctor might be good but I prefer to go to a clinic that the staff respect their patients starting from the front desk.

Dr. Dobkin was very kind and excellent in explaining at what was going on. He is the best urologist I have ever met and will recommend him 100%! The staff is very friendly too!

Dr. Dobkin and his staff are professional and helpful with their patients. My husband has Parkinson's Dementia with unusual situations. Dr. Dobkin is patient and kind. Thorough and gave me all the reassurance I needed. He communicated my results with my PCP who referred me before my appointment the next day. Location is easy to find with plenty of parking. Office smelled a little like urine, but let's get real...that's not the urology office - it's the urology patients. I recommend him all the time. I will never recommend Dr. Dobkin to anyone. He was super insensitive! I was only seen by him once and even after he couldn't figure out what was wrong, he still asked me to schedule another appointment. I only saw his ARNP after that. When I demanded to see the doctor, she told me there's nothing for him to see me for, and I will have to make another appointment to see him. Not to mention I was being charged for each appointment the same amount whether I saw him or not. Not recommended!!

I have been to Dr. Dobkin for BPH and renal cell cancer. The renal cell was three years ago and I'm still here. The BPH we're working on. His greatest asset is his humanity. He treats me as a person and not the kidney in the room down the hall. Highly recommended.

My experiences with Dr. Dobkin have been phenomenal. I'm not exaggerating when I say that he saved my life. A suspicious mass appeared on my kidney as an incidental finding. Dr. Dobkin brought me in on Christmas Eve to perform an initial consult, He looked at the films my primary physician had ordered,listened to my concerns and was very comforting and warm when he layed out the details of my diagnosis and treatment. When I thanked him for being there and bringing me in on a holiday his reply was "I wouldn't want you worrying and we can't have this ruining your Christmas, It's going to be alright." His office staff pushed my insurance company for rapid approvals of needed testing and scheduled my surgery immediately. I've had to fight with insurance companies in the past but not this time. They really went to bat for me! I experienced a mere two week period of time between my diagnosis and my surgery date which is exceptional considering my insurance company in general requires at least 2 weeks to authorize any advanced testing. The bad news is I had Renal Cell Cancer. The good news is that I'm sitting here just over two weeks after finding out about it and I almost certainly don't anymore. I'll have follow ups to verify it's gone for quite awhile so I'll continue to interact with Dr. Dobkin and his office and I'll always be grateful, There are a lot of skilled doctors who could have probably done the same surgery with a good outcome. Dr. Dobkin however is not only a skilled urologist/surgeon but a genuinely warm and comforting person, Cancer is certainly a physically destructive disease. All too often people forget about the mental and emotional impacts on the patients which can be equally decimating. Dr. Dobkin did not and I thank him. My 82 year old Aunt went to Dr. Dobkin's office for a check up and waited near an hour inside of the examining room, freezing cold plus all the time waiting in the lobby and never saw the Dr. She asked numerous times to the nurses when the Dr. was coming until she almost fainted. She asked for help, she walked out holding onto the walls and never got assistance. What she got was a bill from the Dr. office and now they are pursing it with a collection office. She has even attempted to speak to the Dr. in person and the front desk doesn't allow it. No follow up or courtesy call from this office. Very POOR service no customer service skills...no humanity.
