This Dr saved my life more than once!

my swallowing/eating issues have gotten so bad I haven't had a full meal in 2 weeks. they have been reluctant to help me, before this I was told they didn't want to do another EGD procedure and then I ended up getting another one in Tulsa with a major difference. the issues I have are still there & I had to show up without an appointment demanding help. apparently my nutrition levels were off, but "not off enough" for a feeding tube when I am now 99 pounds. I finally went to a GI for my long lasting stomach issues. I was hopeful and had okay first impressions. However, I feel he wasn't very straight forward with me. After my initial appointment, I had no way to speak with him even though he reassured me that we could do most of it over the phone. I only ever got to speak with Beth Anne and I feel there were miscommunications. They never told me my results were ready. When I called for my blood test results, I felt dismissed when I asked about what comes next. She said she would call me back after speaking with the doctor but she never did. They also never responded to my message through the patient portal. I feel incredibly let down by this office. There is better care out there and I recommend anyone to go somewhere else. So far everything is good. Planning for a follow-up procedure next week.

Dr Kirkpatrick was very helpful and willing to listen to me as was the nurse. Much better experience than I had with my Primary Care doctor who was is a hurry to get me out. It wasn’t that way with Dr K. Felt much better about my issue when I left.

Been to him several times for colonoscopy and I highly recommend him. He always gives me a good explanation for his findings.

This doctors office gives you a impression of "I don't care attitude", with no empathy of a patient's pain and giving you immediate help. It seems you have to go through a network of referrals or go to the ER. (Normally in ER you get care at a big cost to you) Many steps to obtain proper help , as all reap from the other as you suffer.

Smooth and painless was my colonoscopy. I survived , so I call that a success. Dr. Kirkpatrick treated my dad before me... nice, professional, successful. I recommend to all my friends and family.

He was thorough and did not perform any unnecessary tests or procedures. He was attentive and answered all our questions in a way we could understand. I will go back!!!

I would give less than 1star if it were possible. I was diagnosed with a disease that was potentially fatal in a short time. I was stunned as I had almost no symptoms or problems and this disease had NO connection to any personal behaviors. He almost gave me no information at all and as I struggled to clear my thoughts to ask any reasonable questions, he basically said here's a prescription that might help and left me in the exam room. I now have a competent, knowledgeable doctor.
