I was sorry to see Bobby’s review. Dr. Stephen Owens is a phenomenal surgeon who really cares about his patients and is one of the top surgeons in LA County. I would recommend him to anyone and have many times. He is my go to guy when I break something.

Low key in office visits, maybe too low key, but he's experienced and knows when to move from conservative treatment to surgery. He's a good surgeon, too, and he did great work on my shoulder when we finally decided to go that route.

I visited this clinic due to knee pain. Upon arrival I was helped quickly and the staff was really nice. Dr. Owens stated I would need an MRI to confirm his diagnosis. As I was leaving the receptionist confirmed my contact number to call and set up an appointment for the MRI. She read my wife’s number which I had used for emergency contact. I have her my cell number. The next day they called my wife to set up MRI appointment (the info was not changed at the office) she gave them my number and asked them to contact me. When I went in for the MRI after waiting close to an hour they confirmed that it was my right knee. I told them it’s my left knee that hurts. They showed me the orders from the clinic requesting an MRI on my right knee(my left knee is the one with the issue) they told me there is nothing they can do, I would have to contact the doctor and get new orders for my left knee. I was irritated and frustrated after having to take time off work I didn’t get anything accomplished. When I contacted the clinic they told me Dr. Owens made a mistake. I personally can not trust a doctor who makes mistakes like this and I question their ability to operate on my leg if necessary! I visited this clinic due to knee pain. Dr Ownes is the best .. he’s professionalism have no words . Thanks to him I’m getting my life together he’s an excellent Doctor. He really cares for he’s patients and listens to them. Dr. Owens did a full hip replacement surgery on me January 22. It went far better than I could have ever dreamt of. I woke up pain free after surgery and took my first walk a few hours later. I was astonished. Part of the credit for this goes to the first rate anaesthesiologist, Dr. Perez. Drs. Perez and Owens are the dream team, if this particular surgery is what you need. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The post surgical pain and discomfort was nowhere near what I thought it would be. The thing I found most amazing was how solid my new hip felt. Long story short, my hip had been so destroyed by arthritis for so long, that I was used to shooting pains when I even shifted my weight in bed, and the normal activities of life were agonizing. Post surgery, it was a complete different picture. There was normal swelling post surgery and I could feel tension in muscles that had not been used in a while, but that was nothing compared to the feeling of empowerment I got from being able to simply get up from a chair and walk again. I'm writing this on February 2. It's pouring rain outside, so I wouldn't be out walking anyhow, but I look forward to making progress with my new hip, and taking long walks and eventually hiking. I hope I never need a surgery in the other hip, but if I would, believe me, I would go to Dr. Owens again without hesitation. This entire procedure went off far better than I anticipated and I will be forever grateful. Finally, I want to say that Dr. Owens is a warm and reassuring presence and he listened intently to my comments and answered my questions. I went into surgery with zero qualms and based on my experience so far, I have nothing but high expectations for the rest of my recovery. Dr. Owens performed my hip surgery 11 years ago. I was in Verdugo Hills Hospital for around 5-6 nights. The night that I returned home I (carefully) took a walker down to my car, put the walker in the trunk and drove to my favorite Italian restaurant. I was intensely focused on not dislocating my hip, of course, but when I got to the restaurant I didn't take the walker out of the trunk and never used it again. I did go in for Physical Therapy but they said that I didn't need it. I realize that everyone is different but Dr. Owens replaced both of my knees 3-4 years later and I only had 6 in home physical therapy sessions and I was cool after than. What can I say. I had hip replacement surgery. Dr Owens is amazing. I have experienced no pain from the moment I woke up after the surgery through today. I am back walking my dog, playing with grandchildren on the floor and just moving pain free. He was very reassuring, answered every question I ever asked and will have no qualms when he has to do the other hip. He is an amazing doctor

Dr. Owens is a legend in the Glendale CA area. He's put many friends from our Church, YMCA, Senior Centers back together. Literally a Wizard. Seeing him now and for a newly-developing shoulder injury. All the confidence in the World in this great orthopedic surgeon.

I had a shoulder replacement. Being a healthcare professional myself I know good care when I see it.

don't go to this doctor. Visited twice for my tennis elbow and cyst on my finger, didn't help me and went to another doctor and one time the other doctor helped and fixed my problem. Doctor Owen's office did not update my information because I moved and there was a billing involved and they put me in collection right away for only $200.00 which I don't have problem paying it. I have a perfect credit but the doctor ruined it. Please don't go to this doctor....

Dr. Owens is very approachable and explains things clearly. I would definitely recommend him to others.
