Dr. Steven Decesare

I wish I could go back and give him a huge hug, but even that is not enough. Before being referred to him, I was violently ill for over two years every time I had my cycle and for an entire week afterwards. So basically I was sick for two weeks every month. Obviously this was making my life a living hell, but it wasn't until I was referred to him that I finally found out why. It took getting into a car accident and the doctors finding a 8cm cyst on my left ovary and 15cm cyst on my right ovary while doing a CT scan. I was referred to Dr. Desceasare, and I was terrified about my situation, and the possibility I had ovarian cancer. He was very realistic with me about what we had to do (remove my right ovary and tube because of the damage the cyst caused), and what may happen depending on what he found inside of me. I still do not have children and was 31 and still wanted to try for them in the future and he was very respectful of my wishes. He was the first doctor that my fiance really liked and respected, and that is saying ALOT, because my fiance and I had grown weary of doctors gaslighting me in the ER. It has been 8 months since my surgery, and even though it was a rough recovery, I'm glad I did it. He has given me my life back and I'm eternally grateful to him for the gift he has given me of a better quality of life. ????

Dr Decesare is absolutely amazing! He was highly recommended by nurses at another facility…but I made the mistake of going to another Oncologist because she worked with my Urologist. Almost 2 miserable months later no communication, nothing had been done, and my surgery was canceled due to not completing additional testing needed. I requested to have all of my paperwork sent to Dr Decesares office, (3 times) which didn’t arrive until I was already there. He and his colleague sat down and explained everything thoroughly as well as answered any questions or doubts that I or my family had. Cancer is absolutely terrifying but my mind was finally at ease and I knew I was in great hands. I cannot thank him and his team enough for everything they’ve done.

Had two primary cancers and I believe the second one would have been missed by less experienced doctors. Dr DeCesare was easy to communicate with and explained things very well. He made sketches for visual aide when needed. Made me feel included in treatment decisions rather than just telling me what would be. One of the nicest physicians I've met.

Dr. Decesare saved me. I had a beach ball size tumor in my ovary that attached to my stomach and he got it all. It was one of his most difficult surgeries has has ever performed considering i have had a stroke before and diabetes. After that i had chemo and i am now cancer free. he saved my life and is one of the very best. I would strongly recommend him. He is a one in a million doctor and one of the best in my book!

Dr. Decesar is a wonderful caring Doctor. Very informative and knowledgeable. He will walk you through everything every step of the way. I'm thankful that He was my Oncologist. The staff is kind and courteous. You would be hard pressed to find anyone better.

Is there a 10 * option? Thank goodness for Dr DeCesare! He's an incredible Surgeon and knows exactly what he's doing. My typical surgery turned out to be quite complicated. If not for Dr DeCesare I don't know how things would have turned out! #DeCesare

Dr. DeCesare found my appendix cancer, which is very rare. We thought it was ovarian until he did laparoscopy and realized it originated in my appendix. He was compassionate and knowledgeable. He sent me to MD Anderson in Houston, as he knew I would need an appendix cancer specialist to do a very major surgery for me. I would highly recommend Dr. DeCesare.

My wife had a beach ball size cyst along with her appendix and an ovary removed by Dr. Decesare. We were sacred out of our minds. Dr. Decesare was professional and being under his care was a blessing. He is the best! I thank God every day.

Dr. DeCesare is a great doctor. I believe he did everything in his power to get rid of my cancer! I trusted him right off the bat and would highly recommend him.

He told me that was not an option, and that I didn't have long. After quickly considering my options, I chose to do chemo first, then have surgery, which was extensive. That was in December 2015. Dr. DeCesare is very compassionate, caring, intelligent, easy to talk to. He explains things in a manner easy to understand. He doesnt throw a lot of medical terminology around. And---i'm still here. I just cannot find enough positive things to say about Dr. Decesare. I was hospitalized twice for a total of 16 days and he saw me in follow up care for the next 5 years. He was unfailingly friendly, cheerful, and welcoming in the hospital or office visits. He gave me his cell # which I did use when I encountered an emergency. He answered right away, knew who I was, and took time to help me. He visited me everyday, including wkends and holidays in hosp. He cured my cancer and was a joy.

Dr Decesare is knowledgeable, patient, kind and very proficient in his craft. I trusted his judgment wholeheartedly as he performed surgery on my ovarian fibromas. He was patient in explaining everything including options, was forthcoming with information that helped me make the right decisions and ultimately performed the surgery to the highest degree of excellence. I highly recomend.

I went to him in July 2015 when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian cancer. By November 2015 my cancer was in remission. He is very knowledgeable and very caring. He's just the best!
