I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. King. He’s been my doctor for over 15 years. He fixed a GI issue I had that other doctors could not, and I will forever be grateful to him for helping me be able to go back to living a normal life. I started seeing Dr. King when I was 5 years old. I always had a stomach ache but my pediatrician dismissed it as me wanting to miss school. Dr. King immediately said sounds like celiac disease- this was 15 years ago, long before anyone had heard of gluten or celiac disease! He is an amazing doctor, caring, kind, so knowledgeable, the list goes on! He has taken care of me ever since, and it was his influence that inspired me to enter the healthcare field. We love Dr King, have recommended to several people. Wonderful diagnostician!

I absolutely love Dr. King and his staff! He actually listens to you. He has great bedside manner. I love this place because my kids get seen here by Katie. She is also amazing. It is so hard to find a very experienced Dr. that actually Listens. I will continue to use him. Recommend 10/10 to anyone.

This has been the only DR to truly listen and not just rush to get out. I’m so grateful for this office!! I’ll also add that his stance on masks is an added bonus. Not because it’s controversial, but because he is acknowledging, as a Dr in the field, that masks are nothing more than an illusion. I do appreciate that about him. I especially love that he’s not being silenced with your negative reviews. That’s a real dr that cares about the people and not the agenda. Imagine working in the medical field and then actively advocating against public health.

It is July 2020 and just as Alabama's cases of C-19 are skyrocketing, this doctor has the following sign on his door: "Being a scientist first, it is impossible to prevent the spread of Covid 19 with any type of covering with the exception of a personally fitted N-95 face mask. The virus is so microscopically small that 1000 of these sitting side of side would be impossible to see with the naked eye. The spread of this virus is no different from other viruses such as the common cold or the flu. Covid 19 is a real problem however, wearing a mask does not mitigate the risk." He is discounting the use of masks during a global pandemic. If it could stop or slow spread AT ALL, which they CAN, they should be encouraged. I wouldn’t go in his office with my kid. Ever. I have a photo of the sign posted on his door.

Petty excuse for a doctor. Doesn't believe masks help prevent the spread of diseases, and if you or your family says something negative about him on social media he'll dismiss you as a patient without notice.

To advise against wearing a mask during this global pandemic is irresponsible and unethical. I would under no circumstance would come nor would I bring my child here. As a person with a gastrointestinal disease, I’m high risk. The sign on his door tows the line of malpractice.

On May 15th I took my son to Dr. Kings office for a check-up. When we got there, I discovered that his office was not following guidelines set by Governor Ivey or wearing mask to help slow the spread of Covid-19. I was upset and we canceled our appointment and left. That day I made a post on my private Facebook page concerning my disappointment and asking for recommendations for new doctors for myself and children. Only people I was friends with on there (including an employee that works at Dr. King's office) could see it. I did not bash him on any public forums or even give him a bad review on the internet. We were successful in finding a new doctor for our children and transferred them to Dr. Tapley who is awesome and her office is taking every precaution and actually following guidelines. I have not found a new doctor for myself or husband yet. Today, my husband had a medication that he needed to get refilled. When he called the prescription in, an employee(the same one that was friends on my Facebook account) called to let my husband know that Dr. King would not refill his medication and would be sending a letter of dismissal to him over the post that I had made on social media. My husband doesn't even have a Facebook account and had nothing to do with the post I made. Dr. King has the right to dismiss us as patients but his handling of this situation has been petty. Waiting until my husband needs a medication refilled to dismiss us is childish. He is still adamently refusing to acknowledge that mask help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and told my husband they are only wearing mask now because it is "required by law". Best doctor and staff around.

Very pleased today with my first visit. Dr King seems very intelligent and took time to listen and he even asked questions and helped me remember more things to tell him about my issues. He is getting me help in getting answers about things that I’ve been trying to get time and time again from other doctors.

Dr.King and his staff are the absolute best! My children, me and now my husband is going to Dr.King! My oldest saw a pediatrician Dr.Blair in cullman, being a first time parent I didn’t know any better! She had blood in her stool and had reflux but that pediatrician said she was fine. The daycare she went to told me they knew she was in pain by how she cried and highly recommended Dr.King and I was so thankful! He saved her, when she came in she was so dehydrated they had trouble getting blood on her but he instantly knew what to do for her! They were very thorough and We found out she had a milk protein allergy that caused the blood in her stool, acid Reflux and found out by X-ray she was constipated all the way through! He listens to you, is knowledgeable and also has a fantastic nurse practitioner Katie that is just as knowledgeable and is great with kids as well! I’m thankful they are always able to work us in when we are sick, smartest decision I’ve ever made for my children is finding this practice! Dr.King and his staff are the absolute best! Excellent doctor. Dr. King and his staff are outstanding. My son has immune deficiencies. He understands my son's problems and knows how to treat him. Since he was/is in research, he is always up-to-date on the latest research and treatments. Extremely knowledgeable. He is great with children and adults. Katie is the pediatric nurse practitioner. She is wonderful. Great with children of all ages. Very knowledgeable also. Wonderful staff. Very friendly and helpful. Excellent doctor. Dr. King and his staff are outstanding. We love Dr. King and all his staff! Any time my children, my husband, or I have an issue, he wants to help us find the cause instead of simply treating symptoms. He is compassionate, intelligent, and evidence based. All in all, a wonderful physician and practice!

You may be waiting for a bit, but he’s well worth it! He is a country doctor, but you DON’T feel like you’re being herded in and out like cattle! You ARE NOT just another number there! Terrific man, terrific doctor! The staff is awesome too!

My husband and I both see Dr. King. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and his office. He is brilliant in his knowledge of medicine and treats our problems with modern medicine and holistic, natural methods. My husband has CF and I believe he is alive and well today in part because of Dr. King's care. I feel the office staff are friendly and efficient and the wait times are manageable. When it's my turn I'm all the more glad because Dr. King is not in a hurry and gives the time I need to allow me to explain my situation and ask all of my questions. Simply my favorite doctor of all time. I'd recommend him a thousand times. My husband and I both see Dr. King. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and his office. You are going to wait...more than likely 30 to 45 min after your scheduled apptmt. Once you meet him, you'll see why it is worth the wait. You are not on an assembly line with him or a box to be checked off the list in five minutes and done. He's going to listen and take his time, interact and you will know you've been heard and feel you're part of a team. In these days of industrialized roll 'em in and out as fast as you can to max your earnings type medicine, that is rare, but worth it.

I have been seeing Dr. King, along with my 3 children, for about a year or so. I LOVE him and the nurses! They always have GREAT things to say and smiles on their faces. The wait time can be long some days, but that's no different than ANY Dr. I've been to. He is running a specialty clinic, has TONS of patients and seems to be doing the best he can. The pediatrician my kids were seeing before Dr. King, had a super short wait time, but was a complete IDIOT when it came time to treat any illnesses and always made me feel uncomfortable! I'd much rather wait a little longer, if that's what it takes to know that myself and my children are receiving the best care possible! I couldn't imagine seeing any other doctor, now that we've been with Dr. King for the last year! His staff, especially at the front desk, was very nice. However, I am not a fan of Dr. King whatsoever. My first apt was just after lunch (1:30) and we were not seen until 4:15. There was no apology for the wait - just an excuse that it's a specialty clinic. Then my son had tests done and we were told we'd get results at 1:45 that day. Upon calling several times, I was assured he would call me after he saw his patients. After calling nonstop in the morning an hour after they opened and hearing their message saying they were closed, I got in touch with someone and they apologized. I had the same wait problem with my next apt, except I got my sons files and walked out after waiting until 4:30 without being called back. I saw Dr. King while waiting on my files, and he was not apologetic in the least - after I explained my disappointment in how he runs his office, he said, "Have a nice life" with a smile on his face. He is an example of a doctor who has let his power define him and who has lost all sense of what being a doctor is truly about. His staff, especially at the front desk, was very nice.
