I went to Dr. Wei for baker cysts in my left leg, extremely swollen and severe pain !! Pequot Health Center recommended Dr. Wei. Dr. Wei was in and out in 5 mins !! I was at the office for 2 hours !!Very unprofessional, making remarks like " That's what happens when you get old ! You have MS so you have other issues, severe arthritis !! X-rays were taken but never showed to me ! Dr. Wei didn't listen to me or my concerns ! Very sickening that I was just a number and I will report this to the Medical Board. Dr. Wei needs to stop seeing patients if he doesn't CARE about a human being !!

This gentleman came in so confused and frustrated and disheveled. He was rude. Also can't read MRIs.

Didn't let me finish a sentence. Brushed me off when he heard my past medical history and decided that was the problem. Told me not to do "fancy exercises for the glamour of it" if they cause me knee pain. Sorry, but squatting and stepping up on a box (or step) are kind of essential for basic functioning. Did not complete a full assessment of my knee. Did xrays and performed passive range of motion. Very rushed. Very concerned he missed something. I have no trust in this man or his terrible bedside manner.

My visit was a fantastic experience... from the young lady who checked me in to the gentleman who checked me out. Doctor Wei and Nicole, along with the rest of the staff, were very caring and friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my issue was addressed. Dr. Wei was very caring, diligent and diagnosed/resolved my issue quickly. Nicole was very patient and was more than willing to answer questions and ensure my needs were met. Dr. Wei is an excellent, caring surgeon. He operated on my shoulder for a full rotar cuff tear in September of 2021. I am almost back to normal in living my every day life. I would recommend Dr. Wei wholeheartedly and trust him to make sure that his patient receives the best of care. He is easy to communicate with and makes sure that his patients are well informed. Absolutely the best orthopedic doctor here in southeastern CT. Dr. Wei is knowledgeable, his bedside manner is terrific, and he’s genuine. Not only do I see Dr. Wei, but I’ve referred friends and family to see him too.

Very good!

Very poor experience. He is always in a rush closer to walk out through the door. Poor communication skills, never experienced with any other physician. I have been seeing this physician for almost 2 years. They wanted me to follow up every 3 months and I did and they do not want to spend even 5 mins in the room for follow up. He had performed my surgery on my shoulder. In spite of more than a year of regular physical therapy and home exercise I still have my stiffness and I came know today that I had to just accept my stiffness for my life that was quite surprising to me.

I think he’s fantastic!! He’s always been good at listening and solving the problem the easy way first.

Took my son who was 11 at the time to Dr. Wei. My son had broken his leg and ankle in a fall. The doctor was extremely impatient with my son, very abrupt and had no bedside manner. He barely looked at the Xray, did not want to hear anything we had to say and then quickly sent him down the hall to get a cast. No questions answered, nothing explained. It was the end of the day. Maybe he needed to get home. No excuse for being so discourteous. Immediately upon check out we asked for another doctor which seemed to create some waves. The visits was billed for about $1300. What a joke.

Husband is very pleased with Dr. Wei.

Very rude doctor. Hurt my son during the exam, and disregarded all of my concerns. He was very short with me and my son, and didn’t fully explain what he was doing. He was unclear about how long the healing process would be and brushed off every one of my questions. Would not recommend.

Dr. Wei misdiagnosed a meniscus tear I had that resulted in surgery elsewhere after a second opinion and months of pain. Doesn’t take time with his patients and doesn’t seem to care much. Also claimed he looked at my MRI images but he clearly didn’t because within seconds of a sports specialist orthopedic viewing the images he seen the tear very clearly. I do not recommend Dr. Wei.

Dr. Wei exceeded my expectations - he repaired a torn rectus femoirus and allowed me to break a track & field school record due to the perfect surgical repair, when other doctors doubted my ability to walk normally again.

He was abrupt and condescending. I wish I had read the reviews before making an appointment with him.

Dr Wei has always been good to me. I come in with a problem and he tells me what I can do about it. If there’s nothing we can do, he lets me know. I like his no nonsense style. He tells it to me like it is. He doesn’t try to gloss over everything by prescribing pills.

Recommended surgery but understood why I couldn’t do what he wanted. He was treating the whole person, and not just my shoulder. Great doctor!

I would NOT recommend Dr. Wei. He was extremely rude, showed no empathy and it felt as though he was just going through the motions to get to the next patient. Dr. Wei, you are dealing with someone's health, and my recommendation to you is take a class in Patient Service (Guest Service). I will not recommend you.

Dr. Wei is Excellent! My kids have been there, throughout the years, for buckle fractures, fractures of the foot and for me a broken wrist! Always listens and cares about you. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr Wei has always been attentive and willing to listen. Treatment has been wonderful.

Waited 40 minutes. Left. Won’t be back. Really dislike it when docs don’t respect your time. I’ll find someone else.

Friendly and open style. Easy to have conversation with.

Dr Wei saw me the day after my injury and I was promptly treated and scheduled for surgery. The office is friendly and efficient. Very helpful with all the paperwork I had to do for my job.

His new building is awesome. New staff is great. He is finally working out of a place that matches his bedside manner and skills.

At one time years ago he was rated a Top Doc and very good. I don't know if he became over whelmed with to many patients or lost his interest in his job, but now he is rushed and callous. He doesn't care to follow up on anything and if he cant fix the issue in the 5 minutes he allows you, he sends you on to other Doctors. He never even finished my knee injections after the first one. He sent me to a rheumatologist for a second opinion, then failed to complete the series of shots after that.

I need to get a second opinion because recovery was stated to be just a few weeks. 6 months later and I still feel worse after surgery than before surgery with no other diagnosis for cause of my problem than physical therapy. It is known that you see him for less than 5 minutes after waiting more than an hour in the waiting room.

Guys a little busy, but he gets the right diagnosis and always makes me better

I don't expect much in the way of bedside manner or compassion from a specialty surgeon but wow! This guy takes the cake for absolute worse. He has absolutely zero respect or concern for patients. He is better, of course, than anyone else is and his time is far more
