I had Dr. Demirs as my primary care physician for many years. I obtained a new job and was informed that my new insurance was not acceptable and I was forced to get a new primary care physician. After I retired and went on Medicare, I called his office to schedule an appointment and was abruptly told that he wasn't accepting any new patients even though I explained why I was forced to find a new doctor. I saw Dr. Demirs as a young adult. I recently moved home from Hawaii and my insurance assigned me with Dr. Demirs. I was excited to be able to see him again as I really enjoyed him as my doctor in my younger years. I called and asked if they could fit me in. The woman at the front desk named “Jennifer” was very rude and said “ he is no longer taking new patients and I honestly don’t even know WHY they would assign you to us”. I explained that I’m not sure but would like if she would ask if he would see me as I am pregnant and suffering with severe itchiness on my arms and need a primary care doctor (I also live in Charlestown so it would be very convenient). She said “ I’ll ask and call you back... two days go by no return call... I called back talk to another women on the third day and she said she would have Jennifer call me. No call, I called back again and Jennifer answered. I told her I never heard back from her and would like to see the doctor or know if I would need to go somewhere else. She was so rude and acted as if I was a complete bother to her and with an attitude said “ummmm I’ll ask him AGAIN tonight”. At that time I decided that I do not want to be seen here with customer service that is so poor and disrespectful. I am writing this review because as a business owner myself for many years I know the importance of customer service. I’m sure Dr. Demirs would not like his patients to be treated in such a way. I've been seeing Dr. Demirs for 22 years. I love everyone there :)

All the staff is amazing here. They know who you are when you call or walk in and that is really special! Always kind and prompt very happy with this switch.

Dr. Demirs and staff are excellent. I feel good bringing my family to his office for treatment and trust his expertise. He is great with kids and I highly recommend this practice.

Dr Demirs has been my Primary Care Physician for over 20 years. He very knowledgable and caring. His staff, Jennifer, is also very caring and responsive. I feel very fortunate to have a medical practice of this high quality way down here in southwest RI.
