The facility is beautiful but the experience was not. Dr Rico ran her thumb over my sons hemangioma once and was not able to give any specifics or options other than pushing for expensive laser treatment. As soon as I told her I couldn’t afford $3000 laser treatment she disappeared. Then I got charged $500 for the office visit. How disgraceful. My son is 7 months old with a mark the size of a dime on his forehead. I am very disappointed that my pediatrician recommended her for a “consultation” waste of money and time.

I absolutely love Dr. Rico and have been seeing her for over a year now. I had really terrible hormonal acne after getting off of spirolactone and a birth control that was giving me horrible mental health issues. Dr. Rico recommended Accutane and it had changed my life for the better! She is a great doctor who listens to your concerns, and the staff is also really friendly, sweet, and attentive. Dr Rico needs to communicate with her staff better because I don’t believe it was her that prescribed a medium to potent steroid for my sons face diagnosis was “eczema “ Now my son has topical steroid withdrawal aka Red skin syndrome for 9 months now !! He had the same rash on his legs I used calamine and it’s gone ! Excellent experience! After two months of doing what our pediatrician recommended for my 4 month old’s severe eczema and getting no relief, we decided to see a specialist. Dr. Rico was booked several months out, so we met virtually with Jacey, the APRN. The virtual process was the easiest experience and took no more than 30 minutes. Jacey could see right away what the problems were and gave us detailed instructions to follow. Within days we had our happy baby back (I cried happy tears for sure) and his skin is now completely flawless. We couldn’t recommend them more! Excellent experience! Dr. Rico was amazing with handling my sons not so common vascular birthmarks. She was able to quickly determine his diagnosis, treatment, and any potential issues for the future. We went biweekly for one year and she was always punctual, patient, and great to see every visit. Overpriced. She is friendly but charges $500 for a new patient visit. In network but insurance covered less than 30% so the rest was out of pocket. She came in for 10 minutes confirmed eczema and pushed for the most expensive medication, it was rejected by BCBS so I had to call back 3 months later to request a different medication be put through because we still didn't have anything as a result of our visit. Would not recommend this office and have lost trust in my children's doctor as a result for this recommendation.

It’s so hard to get an appointment with Dr Rico, We waited for over 30 min and they still have another person to call. They should not scheduled appointments so close. Very disappointed. I had to leave.

DR. Rico is so very knowledgeable and she is kind to her patients. She takes the time and talks to my son about his interests. He isnt just a number and that means a great deal to me.

I am so grateful for Dr.Rico. After years of seeing pediatric dermatologists for an infection on my daughter's leg, we recieved so many misdiagnoses. We saw four doctors over 3 years. She was misdiagnosed with ringworm, eczema, psoriasis, etc. Dr.Rico came in and from that first aptmt was compassionate and educated! She took a biopsy right away. She called me back PERSONALLY within 3 days and told me to come in. She informed me my daughter had Necrobiosis Lipiodica. A form of diabetes mellitus. She referred me immediately to an endocrinologist and my daughters been on insulin ever since!!! I highly suggest this amazing human being for a dermatologist. I am so grateful for Dr.Rico. Dr. Rico is very attentive and listens well to my concerns. She takes her time with us during every visit. She identified the issue and provided information on all possible options for treatment. The office is clean and the staff is friendly. I definitely recommend this pediatric dermatologist.

This was our second dermatologist opinion since the previous specialist was a waste of money. Dr. Rico has excellent bed side manners and provides a thrilled explanation of her health plan. She had the answers to all my questions since my son has been battleing eczema since birth. I have tried almost everything from meds to natural herbs and it doesn’t control it. She gave us a different routine to follow and it has been a week of 0 flares. So happy with the results and his skin looks amazing.
