Dr. guerin is one of my favorite doctors. She always listens and is always available after hours or weekends. The staff are always nice also

Been seeing her for years, and has helped me a lot.

Advise caution for those considering help from Dr. Gurin's "Bootstrap" outlook. Compartmentalizes concerns to expedite you into her program. Loathes questions regarding her reasoning or transparency. Dr.Gurin is AMAZING! Throughout working with Dr.Gurin she always worked with me especially through my toughest times.I never felt judged working with her as I have with other doctors. Thank you again! The world needs more doctors like her.

I am a 20 year old full-time college student who's life was quickly spiraling downward due to an opiate addiction. I was tired, lost, and hopeless. After calling clinic after clinic trying to find a doctor willing to help with my addiction, nobody was in my network or they weren't accepting new patients. Everything changed when I called Dr. Gurin and the SOAR clinic. I explained my story, that I had a lot on the line, and I did not want to continue being held back by my opiate addiction. Dr. Gurin and her staff were empathetic and accepted me as a patient, getting me an appointment as soon as possible. When I first stepped into her office I was wowed by her very nice receptionist, Sam, and her other kind worker (forgot his name). Dr. Gurin asked a multitude of questions about my addiction in order to start me off on a proper Suboxone dosage. It was apparent she was quite knowledgeable about addiction and opiate replacement therapy. I received my prescription for Suboxone and my life has changed ever since. At first I was a bit frustrated that I had to go in once a week. But now I understand she does this because she wants to ensure the medication is working, and that you're staying true to your plan to get clean. After building trust, passing my UAs and staying clean for nearly 4 months, I don't have to come in as often and all is well. In conclusion, I wouldn't write such a long post if Dr. Gurin wasn't the best doctor I have ever had. She is empathetic, truly gets to know her patients, and is overall down to earth and personable (a rarity in healthcare nowadays). I would suggest Dr. Gurin to anyone needing help with their addiction, or for her other services. She has saved my life, and that is not a hyperbole. Thank you, Dr. Gurin. My visits with Dr.Gurin have always been a good experience for me. She is very kind and does an excellent job making sure I understood my conditions and my medication,always patient with me which helps me understand and keeps my health in the best for the last 3 years. THANK YOU DR if you read this also I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr Gurin has been immensely helpful to me. She always returns calls quickly and is an excellent listener. Compassionate, personable, and overall a fine doctor. I am very grateful for the day i first connected with her.

Amazing physician. Attentive, caring, and personable. Receptionist Sam and the other gentlemen (forgot his name) are so pleasant and very easy to talk to. You can tell they have fun working alongside Dr. Gurin, and I cant blame them, shes just great.

Dr Gurin is the best doctor I’ve ever seen. She’s always on time, she’s professional, she’s incredibly understanding and compassionate, she’s honest and trustworthy and she always knows how to make me feel better. I’ve learned a lot from her over the last 3.5 years. I’m very lucky to have been referred to her.

I was referred to Doctor Teresa Gurin by my neck and back Doctor after surgery.. When I arrive at the office for my office visits, I am greeted and treated with courtesy and respect, last month, I was in the hospital and, had to do a last-minute minute rescheduling appointment. The office was very accommodating in cancelling and getting me in promptly after discharge. To get to the office, I use Metro Mobility.. I have never missed the bus by being detained in the office for any reason. # 1

Dr. Gurin is the best physician I have ever had, hands down. She took me in as a patient during a horrid time in my life. I was heavily addicted to opiates and disregarding both my job and school. She was very empathetic to my situation, and at my first appointment really delved into my issues to lay out a plan that has changed my life around. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Gurin. She certainly has changed my life. Her receptionist, Sam, is so friendly and always puts a smile on my face.

Dr. Gurin is the best! She is so attentive, and friendly. A lot of doctors do not feel personable, they feel like they really don't care much about you and they are simply at work. Dr. Gurin is personable and will actually chat with you, whilst of course asking questions and examining you in regards to your condition. I would recommend her to anyone. Those giving her bad ratings were likely looking for a quick narcotic prescription, and didn't get one.. She knows what's best for her patients

I felt very violated, mentally and emotionally. It felt as if I was unheard when explaining my problems. Trying to find another doctor

In May 2016, my Primary Physician referred me to Dr. Teresa Gurin and my initial meeting with Dr. Gurin was in June of 2016. At my first session, I was scared, broken, and doubtful concerning my future. Our first appointment was better than I envisioned; immediately she encouraged me, furthermore declared I was a “star athlete” and she was “my coach. I had never been referred to as a “star athlete” before; although there is a first time for everything. Turning a corner in my life and feel confident about the future, and Dr. Gurin has made the difference. She is extremely knowledgeable and kind and you feel comfortable in her presence. It allows patients to concentrate on their healing. However, naturally, a kind person make no mistake of taking her "kindness for weakness.” She knows that she has to be strong so that her patients can be successful. I would be amiss if I did not mention her dedicated staff Holly and Teresa. Holly is the heart and soul of Dr. Gurin's front office. She is kind and patient and I enjoy visiting with her before my appointment. In fact, I go a little early so that I can chat with Holly and Teresa. Dr Gurin is easily by far the best sports orthopedic - pain management - addictionologist in the twin cities. I highly recommend her if you are having these issues or any other pain related issues. She sincerely cares about her patients and am so lucky to have her as my doctor.

You will be lucky if you visit her office, right on Nicollet Mall. I am not the easiest person to know and am a reluctant patient, but Dr. Gurin was very careful and thoughtful in her treatment of me. The other clients of hers I've met are in agreement with me.
