Dr. Theodore Franklin Suggs

Dr. Suggs is the most caring and genuine doctor I have ever had the privilege of seeing. When I made my first appointment, I was in a bit of a crisis trying to get answers or a diagnosis on a genetic condition that runs in my family. He took the time to talk to me for over an hour on our first visit, and contacted other doctors who I would not have been able to get in touch with, without him. I came to him with a problem, and he gave me multiple options and avenues to help get the answers I needed. I would and have recommended Dr. Suggs and the team at The Hometown Doctors to my closest friends and family. If you are looking for a very caring, pragmatic and affordable approach to healthcare, I'd urge you to reach out to The Hometown Doctors and Dr. Suggs!

I absolutely love Dr. Suggs. I can talk to him about anything and he actually listens! He sits down with me and helps me problem solve. I have private insurance, but I still pay to see him. I recommend him to anyone who wants a doctor who cares.

I joined Hometown Doctors because of the low low membership fees, as I have no insurance coverage worth a darn. Dr. Suggs is an excellent diagnostician, and spends as much time with me as I might need. During the lockdown, we had a virtual visit that was just as caring as coming in-office. He listens. I have been a patient of Dr. Suggs for many years. Over that time I have found him to be the most honest and caring of all the Primary Care Physicians that I have been affiliated with. He is straightforward in discussing my health care needs yet understanding of my concerns. His recommendations of treatments to keep me healthy have been right on target and I am truly fortunate to have Dr. Suggs overseeing my health needs. I highly recommend him.

SrSuggs is an amazing person and DR. He is the best in NC .. He is polite , and takes all the time needed to really understand everything you may be going through ... I have very complicated issues so other Dr's just rush me out the door .. Dr suggs spent 3 entire hours discussing everything that is wrong with me ... 3 hours! I was at wits end when I first found Dr. Suggs. He has the best bedside manners I have ever found in a Dr. I am from the beach here in NC and my experience with Dr. Suggs and his nurse Laura has been caring and loving. He's a very intelligent man and takes his time with you at every visit. He truly cares about your wallet. I'm not going nowhere any time soon!!! Dr Suggs is genuinely the best doctor I have ever had. I have been a patient of his for over 20 years. The reason is he not only is a wonderful doctor but he really cares and takes time with his patients.

I've only seen Dr. Suggs once thus far, but he is great. I'm seeing him for mental health treatment, primarily. He took the time to listen to me and ask the questions that no other provider ever had. He did not dismiss me or treat me as if I was being dishonest about my experience with previous medications, and that meant a lot to me. He has already given me more help and hope than I ever received from my previous providers. He genuinely seems to care for his patients. 10/10 would recommend. He is simply the best.

I have seen Dr. Suggs for years! He always gives his undivided attention. He and Dr. Jain, both are in their profession obviously for the right reasons. Very caring and compassionate!

I've been going to Dr. Suggs for over 30 years ever since I moved to the Charlotte area. He has always taken time to listen to my questions and concerns and never have I felt like I was being rushed through the appointment. Dr. Suggs has been our family doctor for approximately 10 years. He is compassionate and caring and one never feels "rushed" when seeking his medical advice. I highly recommend Dr. Suggs-

Top notch physician!

Dr. Suggs is a throw back to how medicine used to be practiced. He takes his time to listen to you and prescribe the most cost effective treatment first. I've been a patient of his for 20 plus years. I trust my entire family with him.

I have had multiple appointments with Dr Suggs over the years. He always treats you like your the only patient he is dealing with that day! Would recommend to anyone.

Dr.suggs office happens to be writhing walking distance of my house and without any insurance I decided to try the office out when I started to have extreme panic attacks because of a life event. He was so very kind and caring. He spent at least 20-25 minutes just talking to me as if I was a friend and it helped me so much!!!! I love Dr.Suggs and will definitely be sticking with him for a while!!!

The most competent and compassionate doctor that I have ever been to. Trust in his ability to care for my family's medical needs completely. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a good family Dr. He is very attentive and makes me feel like I'm the only patient that he has.
