Dr. Lenart reviewed an MRI taken of my brain at the ER after a bicycle accident that resulted in a subdural hematoma. He discovered a tumor in my eye on the MRI that eventually turned into a melanoma. His prompt action and expertise enabled me to obtain immediate care after my brain surgery, which focused on the melanoma. His saved my eye and likely my life. I am forever grateful!

He should not be a pediatric doctor, worse attitude for kids I have ever met, raciest too. Please stay away from this doctor, you can easily find a much better one!

Terrible experience, just check all the Yelp and Google reviews with 1 stars you will know. Definitely avoid.

Dr. Lenart is professional and kind. My two year old was suffering Ptosis and Dr. Lenart took time to call my pediatrician to confirm medical history details, discuss and prioritize following exams. He is also vetted by Seattle Children’s ophthalmology.

Dr. Lenart was an answer to prayer. He was such a gentleman, with great listening skills. He took one look at me and immediately knew he could help. I had been searching for help for over 10 years. Horrible experience with this doctor. He did a terrible job removing my son's stye. 5 years later my son still has a big scar from the doctors sloppy work.

Dr. Lenart is a wonderful doctor that truly cares about his patients. He helped diagnose my son’s retinoblastoma (eye cancer) and helped us every step of the way through his cancer treatment. We cannot speak more highly of Dr. Lenart and his team.

I was referred to this office by my pediatrician. I called to make an appt. They asked what insurance i have, made an appt for 3 weeks out. Show up to the office just for the receptionist to turn us away because my insurance card was unacceptable. Not because they didn't accept the insurance because she thought my card was out of date, which it is not. She completely dismissed us and was extremely unhelpful and rude. Dr. Lenart was calm, friendly, quick and professional during my two and a half year old son's eye exam. Answered my questions. Did not rush us. I was impressed with how good he is with kids.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lenart. My 6 year old just had strabismus surgery with Dr. Lenart and the experience was fantastic. Dr. Lenart is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He has a wealth of experience and is wonderful with children. His assistant who saw us throughout the pre-op appts, surgery, and post-op appointments is exceptional as well. She was very thorough, engaging with my daughter, and always available to answer questions that I had. Saw my child for five minutes, dismissed us, and then lied on the paperwork saying my child was uncooperative. Would not recommend a lying physician to anyone.

I hope I could read the reviews before taking my 1 year old baby to see Dr. Thomas Lenart. It’s HORRIBLE experience. This doctor is rude, unprofessional, and definitely not good with young kids. 1. He wanted my baby to put her head into the big equipment with her chin on the counter and eyes open widely. That machine is usually used for adults and looks scary to a 1 year old, little one started to cry. He asked my husband and I to force her to do that, but it didn’t go well because my baby screamed and struggled very bad. However, he still insisted us to do that over and over again for 5 minutes. My baby was sweating all over. With no break, followed by the dilation, same thing happened again. He shouted at us, “Hey we got two adults, how come we cannot control a baby?” “If you guys cooperate well, we can get it done faster!” SHE’S JUST A ONE YEAR OLD. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT US TO DO ON HER?! My baby screamed and cried almost during the whole process and he even didn’t let her take a break! All he wants is to “get it done”, no single thought on how to make it in a nicer or more baby-friendly way. What a shame to be called a pediatric doctor! 2. What’s more, NO explanation on what procedure he’s doing, what liquid he’s putting in my baby’s eyes, why she needs that, what side effect may have on her. I do NOT recommend him. My two kids have been helped tremendously by Dr. Lenart. The staff is great too.

Dr. Lenart and his team are excellent. He is truly an instrument of God for healing. My experience with Dr. Lenart and team has been so good. He is humble and friendly.

We have been seeing Dr.Lenart for almost 12 yrs. Our daughter was not even 2.months she was diagnosed with Cataract and lazy eye. Dr. Lenart is amazing till this day.Thank you

I had been suffering from double vision, headaches, nausea and dizziness for several years. Was recommended to Dr. Lenart. I have several eye diseases which had become very problematic and had caused me to lose most of my sight in my right eye. It was legally blind. After strabismus surgery, my symptoms greatly improved. I am now able to read the third line down on the eye chart. Something I have never been able to see before in my life. I call Dr. Lenart "Dr. Miracle Worker" because he restored my vision and gave me a much better quality of life. So thank you to Dr. Lenart and staff for taking such good care of me. Forever grateful. My 9 year old son was diagnosed with a cataract in April of 2019. Children's was 6 months out for an appointment. My sister told me about Dr. Lenart and we got an appointment in 10 days. Surgery at Swedish was scheduled for 2 weeks later in May. Dr. Lenart was professional and kind. Made my son feel at ease. The office was very a accommodating since we live 5 hours away. He is an amazingly skilled surgeon who gives his patients his best. So thankful my son's condition was taken care of so quickly. We would still be waiting for surgery if it wasn't for Dr. Lenart! Dr. Lenart was incredibly rude right off the bat. I brought my toddler in for an eye exam, and while waiting for the doctor, the exam room became very hot. I stepped into the hallway with my toddler and Dr. Lenart came over. He didn't introduce himself, instead he told us that we weren't allowed in the hallway. I told him we had stepped out due to the heat, and he told us that he didn't write the rules, HIPPA did. I mentioned the heat again and he said then he would just have to go to jail then. I was stunned. He started reading notes from our file, mumbling to himself, then he looked up and said, "so you're not talking to me now?" Apparently he had asked me a question? I told him I was surprised by his comments and he told me that we were free to go somewhere else. I have no idea why he treated us like he did.

Very bad experience with doctor. Do not go

Do not go to this doctor and do not waste your money. After the visit I sent the following notice to doctor - Dear doctor Hope this letter finds you well. This is regrading my daughter Oorja’s visit to your clinic on Feb 01, 2019. Kindly refer to attached Rx for reference. Also, during the visit my wife Doyeli shared the previous Rx from local doctor from Costco. Following are our concerns - 1) Your assistant examined Oorja’s power and you reassured that there is no change in the number and said that Costco doctor did a good job however we found that you prescribed a very different and infact completely opposite numbers. We are deeply concerned with your inaccurate prescription 2) During the visit my wife Doyeli requested you to elaborate and educate her on refractive amblyopia (as mentioned by Costco doctor) to get your perspective and you did not answer and said – “Costco did not tell you? Huh” and expressed unhappiness. Not sure why. Your lack of empathy and lack of attentiveness is very much unacceptable 3) In Premera EOB we see two charges a) eye exam and b) your fees. You did not spend even 5 mins with Oorja and my wife and did not explain her questions/next steps etc hence we believe your fee is not justified and ethical We would like to bring this to your attention that we refuse to pay any fees related to this office visit and request you revert charge (if any) to our credit card on file. In case if you choose to ignore above request and continue to incur any charge on us we would hereby like to notify our intent to raise dispute. Incorrect Billing: My experience with Dr's Billing Department is very bad. Because of incorrect billing, Insurance denied my daughter's claim. I had followed up with Dr's Billing Department to correct the billing, but Lady in Billing Department wasn't ready to accept mistake. Then I filed 2 appeals with my Insurance and provided them supported documents. Insurance understood Billing mistake and approved my claim. I had to spent lot of time to follow up with Insurance for Appeal which could have been avoided if Dr's Billing department had corrected their mistake. Dr. Lenart just did my daughter's extropia surgery, and he has been absolutely amazing throughout the process. He has taken time to explain everything in detail from day one, and has been in communication with us day or night to help make the post-operative process as easy as possible. His staff are all very friendly, professional and always helpful. The Evergreen proliance surgery center experience was incredible during the surgical process, as they have called to follow up as well. I would absolutely recommend Dr.Lenart to friends/family and we are so thankful he is our family opthalmologist. He’s worth taking the time for a good review. He doesn’t sugar coat anything but is polite and professional. My son had a surgery to correct his lazy eye. He came out of it great and has been practically painless. If he didn’t have red eyes you probably wouldn’t have guessed that he had a procedure done. Something that I was very impressed with was that he gave us his personal cell phone number to call if we had any questions or concerns. My family has several people in the medical field from dentists to chiropractors and giving out a direct line (not through a secretary or office line) is unheard of. We had a small concern the night after our sons surgery and he talked to us well after office hours. Our son is happy and doing great. I recommend Dr Lenard. Worst experience. We have appointment schedule for my little one and Dr did not show up for more than 75 mins. when asked whats going on to the staff, they said ooh we forgot he is busy with some conference. How can you schedule an Appointment when Dr is busy in conference. Also attitude of the front desk was so racist. A man of optical experts is so rude. He was impatient and unkindly to help us try the new ophthalmic lens. My 5 years' child said “she is uncomfortable with the new lens because she can not see clearly.” The man just skimps his work and let her adapt herself. I feel he is not professional...

my experience has been " BAD" for below reasons 1) there was no warmth or friendly environment created by "thomas" , which is a MUST for a Pediatric . 2) he seems to be in over "HURRY" as he checked his mobile 2/3 times when i talking my concerns and was in a in hurry right from the moment he entered the door to get us out... 3) The biggest disappointment is when he said my son has non circular eye balls which can lead to Astigmatism and when my "wife asked " what is astigmatism , he IGNORED and when she repeated again , in a very "IRRITATED TONE" he replied "mom, i said Astigmatism..! Took my son and was disappointed on almost all aspects of the visit: Front desk was rude over phone. Dr Lenart was rude and gave curt unhelpful answers to questions about the prescription; Optometrists outside were pushy. They charged me exactly the amount my insurance will re-imburse me for. How is it that the cost of the most basic frame and lens costs exactly what the insurance will re-imburse ? For that amount, i could have gotten 2 sets or more in Costco ! Colleen the NP/staff was ok. But overall, the worst experience i have had with a new doctor's visit ! Dr. Lenart and Nurse are great and friendly but the front desk definetly are not, they are rude on phone and face to face. I'm hesitant to go back their because of the front desk.

I met Dr. Lenart a little over a year ago to discuss surgery to correct my lazy eye. He was a visiting Dr out of Pasco Vision. He was kind and attentive. He took his time answering all of my questions and concerns. Due to my own circumstances I did not get the surgery done but am hoping to reschedule for this summer. Dr. Lenart is AMAZING. He's down to earth, compassionate and always reachable. I had been having vision problems for over a year which is why I switched to Dr. Lenart. He promptly diagnosed my problem which required surgery to fix and got me back to normal vision in no time. I cannot say enough about how great he is.

Dr. Lenart did surgery on my 6 year old boy to help correct strabismus esotropia. We were recommended by Dr. Karen Heaston from Heaston Thompson Vision Clinic. The office visit before, during the surgery time, and the follow up were all great. After having Dr. Lenart perform the surgery, I would, without reservation, recommend him. He was so caring and took the extra time to make sure my son felt comfortable. This made it a very enjoyable experience for my son, which is the best you can hope for during a surgery. Thank you Dr. Lenart for helping us. I trust Dr. Heaston completely and I’m so glad she recommended you for the surgery. Listening to your dictations at the end of each visit reaffirmed in my mind that you are extremely educated and know the eyes inside and out. What a horrible experience at this clinic. I hope there is zero star rating. My son saw Dr. Leung at this clinic for a routine exam in 2016/10. It turns out the proscription is too strong and it hurt his eyes. So we went back, hoping to have it corrected. As a result, they insisted charging me for a totally separate routine eye exam. This is not what I have experienced at other clinics. If something is wrong with the proscription, doctors just provide free follow up. I certainly will not go back again. My insurance was incorrectly billed, so I called the office manager to resolve the issue. Despite my being civil and polite, she was very rude. I will not be going back.

My child has been a patient of Dr. Lenart for 15 years. He is very caring and patient. Dr. Lenart takes the necessary time to perform a thorough exam of children, regardless of their ability to cooperate or communicate. His dedication to children is what any parent would look for in a physician.
