Dr. Timothy Scott Johnston

I did have to wait a bit but that’s case at every doctor office now a days but I think it’s because he is so liked , he does ob-gyn and family practice which is helpful for many people ! I only found him through getting pregnant which has been a blessing ! See him if you can !

He is an AMAZING Dr and his FNP Lynda is AMAZING as well, they both make you feel very comfortable and take the time to answer and help you

He is an AMAZING Dr ! My sister recommended him when I was pregnant with my first baby and I absolutely love him and his office and staff ! He is very good at his job and makes you feel very comfortable. I’ve been with his office for a few years now and love them

Insensitive staff, I was actually worried about my diagnosis and injury when they stepped out in the middle of my appointment laughing extremely loudly joking about unrelated stuff while I was in the room alone. Never felt more alone.

No one answers the phone, extreme wait and hold times. The staff in Dr. Johnston office are not friendly or very helpful bordering on rude at times. They do not respond to pharmacy request and when you call to get your prescriptions refilled you'll be transferred to a voice mail that never gets returned. You will not receive any personal care from Dr. Johnston's office. I hope that Dr. David and her original staff can break away and have their own office again soon. This the worst experience I've ever had with a medical office. Takes for ever to speak with someone. Better have your phone charged because you will need it. Scheduled my annual physical a month ago. Confirmed it myself yesterday. Then today, after I arrive I'm told you can't be seen because you were a pt of Dr Gallery's and you were released. But this is not Gallery's office. Chris intervened confirming this is a whole different office. Yes! Things are done differently. So, you couldn't call me or could have notified me yesterday when I called you, your office was refusing to see me? This was a terrible mess. No communication. Dr. Johnston is the best OB and family care doctor. He is very knowledgeable and truly loves his job. I love going to his office, you can tell everyone enjoys their job there. Highly recommend him. ????

Worst care ever! Doctors don’t give you a complete physical, Staff doesn’t care about you. Paperwork is left on someone desk and never faxed to where it needs to be. Save yourself time and frustration don’t go here. Had to give one star to post on here. They don’t deserve that!!!

I tried calling to give them my info because my grandmother & fiance both already go there. They assured me they would contact me in 1 weeks time. 2 weeks later I checked my acceptance status by walking in. The office was a ghost town with nobody around. I tried calling out "hello?" "Is anybody here who can help?". So after walking around for a few minutes I saw a lady on the phone who was annoyed that I was asking for help. The office seemed like everybody was at lunch & forgot to lock up the place. The annoyed lady had somebody else help me who felt bad because they NEVER even took down my info & had no record of me. So I stayed there to fill out the forms that should've already been filled out, in person. She guaranteed that somebody for sure will get back to me in 1 week. The last straw was when I called in 3 WEEKS LATER just for them to tell me to go somewhere else. I have never seen such unprofessionalism from an establishment but since they wasted my time I had to write this review. That's HOW horrible & lackluster this place is!!! Trying to contact them is like trying to contact EDD. Long, boring & they never get back to you! Had such terrible service & I would never get my Healthcare there since they act like they don't care. You could NOT EVEN PAY ME TO GO BACK THERE! That's how terrible it is, would you go back to a restaurant that burns your food & doesn't even try to make it right!? My old doctor's office was acquired by this office and I was hoping that the organization would be better since the last office was not good with returning calls/scheduling/or general admin work. So far, I've had similar experiences with the new office and am disappointed. I've never had a doctor with so many issues for what should be simple customer service. Since the switch to this office, I've had too many occasions where the doctor does not call back after receiving scans/tests for me even though they say they will reach out to me. I had to be the one to call over and over up to 2 weeks later to find out my requests were incomplete or that the results were in (with no call to notify me). In one case, I had to leave voicemails over several days before getting a response. My new insurance doesnt cover this office but I won't miss it. You'll need to keep calling if you want stuff to get done. They take time for you to come to office for release medical records but after that they dont follow. I called so many times but left VM . No answer. No Thank you for no Service. You lost a patient.

My wife and I have had great experience with staff and Dr Johnston. He is very pleasant and will listen and explain everything to you. He is busy as he delivers many babies which is reassuring as my wife is pregnant. I would and do recommend him as a Dr.

Dr Traylor often cancels appointments and reschedules. Wait times in front office usually 15-20 minutes then at least 15-20 more minutes of waiting in the observation room. Nurses are awesome, very professional and work hard to take care of you; however due to over booking wait times are rediculous.

This might be long... Bare with me. Twenty years ago living in tiny rural Mariposa, my OB care was handled by Dr Johnston, and Dr Col. They were great. Dr. J was always friendly and talkative, but at my young age and being anti social I preferred Dr C. When it came time to give birth, Dr C had to help his mom move and my son was delivered by a resident Dr with no supervision. Dr J was not able to be there in time. There were seven other deliveries on the floor at the same time. Chaos happened in that room. Looked like a murder scene and I was unable to carry another child to tell for three years (2 miscarriages in that frame) Child #2 cared for by Col and Johnston again. Both were present for the delivery thankfully. Baby in distress so I had to deliver at only 7cm dialated, with no meds. Fun stuff. Dr Johnston did great. He made the fact that my "daughter" was really my Son into a light-hearted thing and helped us get through the shock of 4 Sonos saying girl. Lol. Child #3 was delivered in Redding. Child #4 was handled soley by Dr J. He did great. I was traveling to Merced to get care from him at this time. My blood pressure was high and it was determined I would be induced the moment her lungs could handle it. Six weeks early. I had a lovely little 4lb 14oz bundle of beauty. She was actually delivered in the hallway as I was being rushed to the delivery room. 10 minutes of active labor. He did great running and catching her in time and getting that umbilical cord from around her tiny neck. Now, my oldest is having his first, and Dr J retired from Mariposa area. My son's fiance has just moved from Georgia and we were going through a lot of insurance issues, and having a lot of trouble finding care for her. At six months we learned Dr J still practiced in Merced, and after calling, they got her in within two days. Since then, he's been vigilant in her care. She is high risk. We are very pleased with him, his MA Rudy, and the entire staff. She's due in 4 weeks, and we are very thankful that he was able to fit her in when NO OTHER DOCTOR in Merced was willing to work with us. My first visit was met by professional service at every turn. Very happy with my new Dr.

LOVE taking my kids to see Dr Johnston, he is very thorough when it comes to examining and determining a solution for their symptoms, and always listen to all my questions and concerns. If you need a new doctor, come see Dr J, he is amazing with kids as well. His staff always make you feel like family and are very professional.

Dr. Johnston is one of the best doctors in Merced County! He definitely knows what he is doing and answers all questions with patience and plenty of details. Office staff is very kind and caring.

Dr. Johnston May be a fine physician, but his staff of assistants and nurses are all anyone sees. And unless they take a personal interest in a patient, they commonly forget month to month why a patient is being seen. No review of charts is done prior to appointment so that each time you see them, a full history needs to be reviewed. Waste of time and complete lack of care from these PAs and FNPs. It’s a shame a great doctor left his people to this mess of an office.

I have been trying to make an appt since the first of the year. It is now the 23rd and they still have not called me back. Their phone now just rings and rings. No VM, no answer. They don't care!

I have tried not to leave a review, but I can no longer accept the staff behavior. Dr.Johnston is a good doctor, but his staff is horrible. When I take my children there we are talk at like we are trash. When i call to schedule or get results it seems like it is a must to put me on hold for a minimum of 10 mintues. They are rude and give attitude. I was once told to leave the door open by the receptionist "because the doctor said too" then the medical assistant told me he did not say that. They are rude, inconsiderate, and should not work in the medical field. They are lucky I'm not mentioning their names. If you work in health care your job is to help people not make them feel worse then they did before they came in. I will be changing clinics and I highly recommend Dr.Johnston hiring new staff and firing the crappy staff he has now. My elderly mother became a patient approximately 2-3 months ago and she sees the Nurse Practitioner. Yesterday would have been our fourth visit to the office, and we can no longer accept the staff or office practices. We were told our appointment was on the prior day and we would need to reschedule. We never received a courtesy call (even when the NP told us we would receive a call confirming the appointment). Both my mother and I had the same day on our calendars. We wait a minimum of two hours to be seen, this is unacceptable especially with pneumonia. Every time we come to the office the receptionist is either away from her desk (running to the office next door) or she is discussing patients accounts with them in the lobby. I wonder what HIPPA would think? I already called and spoke with Cassandra last week about the lack of communication, and there still is a problem. This is unacceptable! We were patients of Dr. Johnston at MFA 21 years ago (he delivered our daughter); and we had to leave because of the customer service. We were hoping that since he left MFA things would be better. Unfortunately, my mother has to continue to come to the office because she has pneumonia and it is imperative that she sees her doctor. Love Dr. J but normally wait at least 30 min before being taken into back room. Waiting room is EXTREMELY small. The receptionist and MA's are helpful and nice.

Dr.J is the most kind, caring and compassionate Dr. I've ever met! I had a lapse in my insurance while pregnant and Dr.J saw me regardless if I was covered or not. He really cares about his patients!

Dr Johnston is very friendly and his staff make you feel like you are their only patient! Great customer service! Their office has a "family" atmosphere that always makes you feel welcomed. The staff is friendly and always quick at getting us in for appointments. We recently moved my grandfather Who is elderly and has a lot of health issues to his practice after his previous Dr retired. My Grandfather Quickly developed a trust in Dr Johnston to care for his medical needs. He loves that Dr J takes his time to talk with him and is never in a rush. Dr. Johnston is a wonderful doctor. He has delivered both both of my children, and made me feel so comfortable. He makes you feel like he honestly cares. I highly recommend him for new mothers and, I recommend him for..really anyone. To Dr Johnson you're not number or an insurance code your patient and I love that
