Dr. Alvarez took amazing care of my mom. He just GOT her and that was what she needed more than anything else at the end. He made her laugh and feel like a person again...something she had lost in the long years of suffering and worsening of her diseases. He was my mom's last and probably greatest love, in the end, and the care he gave her was humanizing and lovely.
