I had both my knees replaced and the healing process, given the severity of the surgery, was and still is phenomenal. I could walk stairs normally 5 days after surgery and was on a plane two weeks later. Obviously , I don't like surgery yet is is as good as it gets.

This Dr. Does not give jell shots in joints. Something about insurance doesn’t pay and I have to get hyalronic product from Walgreens then bring it to him. I was dumbfounded. Have gotten shots in knees for a few years from 3 different ortho surgeon in different states as I travel and Medicare and supplemental always pay. Knees are extremely bone on bone. And I’m becoming disabled from pain and I need pain relief and surgery and he put me at 2 years waiting. I’m speechless shocked.

I shredded my leftacl in 1978, and over the next twenty years had four arthroscopies for miniscus and cartilage issues. Bone on bone, increasing pain and finally almost complete immobility turned my former very active life into one of a couch potato because the pain of even a few steps got old. Dr. Nguyen replaced the knee in 2016.. Recovery was quick, and the pain was minimal (only my quadricep and hamstring were sore); I never have a single moment of pain in my knee..even to this day. I have been pain free since replacement, and again enjoy casual walks, hiking, biking…you name it. My wife told me I look younger as the facial wrinkles from constant grimacing from pain has disappeared. And I feel absolutely wonderful. Thanks Dr. Nguyen and staff for returning pain free joy to my life!

Steven Nguyen MD is an incredible surgeon. I am blessed to be his patient and feel emotional just thinking about how life changing this knee replacement is for me. I am 4 days post op and am doing great!!! I can’t thank Dr. Nguyen and his team enough for the services received. They really do care about their patients. I don’t understand the few negative comments. Optimotion and Steven Nguyen MD are top rate! God bless you.

This doctor gave me a full knee replacement using nickel knowing I was allergic to nickel from a metal test given before surgery, done by his suggestion. He then refused a revision caused by his stupid error. After three years of pain and several appointment to his office, I had a revision surgeon in the Villages remove and replace Dr. Nguyen's mess. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Steve Nguyen to my worst enemy.

I had a total right knee replacement in April 2018... I had a speedy recovery and am without any pain one year post op... You can trust Dr. Nguyen; he knows what he’s doing... Very competent... Highly recommend... Extremely experienced...

I dealt primarily with his P.A.s until it came time for surgery. They explained everything in detail & at least one of them was involved in the surgery. Dr. Nguyen stopped by at the hospital prior to surgery to explain what he was going to do & verify that he had the correct knee in mind for surgery. I had both knees replaced 3 mo. apart. He & one of his P.A.s stopped by the morning after surgery to check on my progress. He's efficient and effective. I wouldn't take my knees to anyone else.

Had my right knee replaced on 9/27/16, what a different outcome from the replacement I had done on 6/2/9 to my left knee. Very little pain, and it was very manageable used very little pain medication. no walker, cane or crutches after one week. only 4 weeks of pt, compared to 3 1/2 months the first time. I would highly recommend Dr Nguyen, he is a miracle worker in my book. he is vry busy but got mvd up by 5 months by getting on tne cancellation list

This doctor is quite dismissive and hurried in his manner. He spends 5 minutes in explaining your planned medical procedure and you are out the door. I showed him hip x-rays and CT scans (on CD) plus reports of these from the VA and expected that we would go over these in detail. That didn't happen. He had a cursory look at them in the other room. All he told me was I needed bilateral hip revisions. I definitely would not recommend him.
