Dr. Wayne Bernard Barefield

He did not introduce himself when walking in the first time. During this first time, he asked me a few questions. During the last question, he was actually in the midst of closing the door as I was answering. He is beyond rude, especially with his comments at the nurses station. He does not care if you hear a word he says, and even if you speak on the disrespect he will purposely ignore you. The second time we engaged with one another, he was very short and had an attitude. I was admitted as a suicidal patient, and with everything going on, he was definitely not the right person to have on my side. He is one of the worst drs I’ve ever encountered. 0/10 would not recommend.

I didn't even know his name when he walked in he didn't introduce himself he just asked me why I was at the ER at 1 in the morning if I was hurting all day. He then walked off I never saw him again. He didn't perform any type of exam, gave no resolution to what was wrong . I left in more pain than before I came. He discredited me when I was trying to explain symptoms. I just don't understand why or how someone can be in the field of caring for people in emergencies and be so inconsiderate and plain disrespectful.

Amazing physician! Very intelligent, efficient, and caring

He's knowledgeable of medical treatments, ; however, I feel he needs to be more understanding/empathetic of patients moods when they're having a medical emergency, not feeling good, difficulty in breathing or in pain, regardless of what some test result say. Only the patient knows how they feel, not the machine and I think he should consider what a patient is trying to tell him.

He deserves a 0. This man has no business whatsoever in the medical field. I sa him this week in the ER. This man tried to shame me, discredit my illness and sent me home with no resolution as to what was wrong. I left in more pain than I came with. He obviously is unhinged and in need of psychiatric help. I'm appalled that Saint Vincent's East would employ such a loose canon to unload his severe anger problems on his patients. I pray he gets the help he so needs.

Uncaring, inconsiderate and totally missed the diagnosis on ER visit.
