About Wei Wang
Reviews for Wei Wang
She actually answered her cell phone in the middle of my wife’s zoom call appointment! She kept upping dosages until it was dangerous. I questioned her about the quantity and combination of meds and she immediately went on the offensive and didn’t want to answer questions
Where do I start ? I am a very knowledge and smart mom, she does not like that ! Prescribed medications and upped dosage much too quickly, and then will not listen to patients side effects. Its like she doesn't even hear you. My son clearly has Autism, anxiety and OCD and she put him 2 Bi Polar medications ! Then he had terrible headaches and vomiting and she said we should see a neurologist for his headaches. And that the vomiting is not a side effect of the meds. Dare you suggest or ask about something different to try, she says your are disrespecting her. Our last encounter she was so furious because I reached out to a very knowledgeable psychologist and well known behavioral therapist for some additional guidance. She says "they know nothing." and can not prescribe medication. Ignorant, not open minded ! No compassion. Full EGO Her calls are rushed through, she just babbles on about nothing, however her staff assistant Dr was wonderful. AND SHE DROPPED US.
Hello I was sent to a psych ward she was working in. and when she would call me in her office she instantly committed me without really knowing why i was their she treated all her inpatients like we were criminally insane. I would comply with taking the medications and i would still get forced to get a shot if i asked for something as if i was doing something wrong. she literally made me lose all hope when i was in the hospital i was so terrified i didn’t even tell my family what was happening because i didn’t want to cause a problem so i just did anything she asked of me. I was originally there for postpartum depression and she diagnosed me with bi polar scitzo affective disorder. I eventually got so mentally ill from all her torment . that i ended up at a different psychiatric hospital and even after i was getting the help i needed for real this time she still would try to treat me. and still treated me like a criminal. you have rights don’t let her make you think your crazy.
I have seen Dr. Wang and her staff for over 3 years, typically on monthly basis. I have nothing but praise for the services she has been providing. Dr. Wang has helped me a lot with my continuing issues. What is also very important that she accepts major insurances which other doctors in this field often refuse to do. All in all, she keeps my issues at check as much as she can, and that includes depression, anxiety, PTSD etc. She constantly tunes my medications and without her help I would have been in much worse shape than I am right now. She has a very nice arrangement where i can communicate with he via telehealth appointment which was extremely important during COVID -- the calls from her office come in on time -- so there is no wait. She is very attentive and always listens to my concerns. She works together with another doctor who carefully documents any new developments from the last appointment. Then Dr. Wang confers with this Doctor, then Dr. Wang asks follow up questions --if she needs to clarify any details. She has a great memory and recalls everything that has been happening with me in the past. She is very timely in transmitting my meds to the pharmacy. I also see her Psychologist, Jennifer Brea, on weekly basis and she is also great - I have been working with Jennifer for the past several now. Jennifer is very attentive to my needs and very easy to schedule appointments. It is nice to have both a psychiatrist and psychologist working together in the same office. Her back office staff is also great - -they return phone calls and also try to be supportive of any problems that may arise. I have red some of the other reviews and frankly appalled at some reviews who gave Dr. Wang office a low rating -- this is definitely uncalled for. I have nothing but praise -- I am very glad that I found Dr. Wang -- and plan to stay with her in the future Alex L
I have been seeing Dr. Wang for over 10 years and I credit our early psychotherapy together, her stellar meditation management, and commitment to overall wellbeing to my recovery from bipolar disorder. She is a true champion of holistic wellness and wellbeing where medication is only one component of a multi-treatment approach. I have always felt heard and cared for. If you or a loved one is suffering from a mental health issue, I strongly recommend Dr. Wang. My experience with her was life-changing, and I am a career global well-being expert.
Dr. Wang exemplifies qualities that are caring, patient and kind, coupled with her astounding sense of intelligence, knowledge and problem-solving skills. She approaches her patients holistically, and sees the person as not defined by their illness, but rather their character. Her genuineness and sincerity is evident when dealing with her patients and she always has the right solution to help her clients. As a person she is empathetic, and knows what’s best for her patients. I appreciate her concern for my health and have noticed an evident amount of progress under her care. I would recommend Dr. Wang to anyone who seeks to move forward with their lives.

If I could give negative starts, I would. 3 years ago I should have been smarter and realized that when a doctor constantly pushes you to leave her a rave review online, there might be something wrong. I blame myself for not doing more research, especially since I am a well educated woman, however, finding a doctor that is on my insurance is difficult and I was desperate. All of the negative reviews that you read on the various websites about Dr. Wang are true and the positive ones say things that are completely not true. For the 3 years that my sons have seen her, she was NEVER on time for appointments. I have even witnessed her walk into her practice late with take-out food in her hand, even when she is over an hour late. The one time I had to cancel an appointment, she had the nerve to charge me $90 because I only gave 47 hours notice, not the required 48 hours. When you call the office, nobody ever picks up. You always have to leave a message. (Try it!) During visits, she constantly compared her son to mine and talked about her divorce and crazy ex-husband. She prescribed numerous psychotic drugs to my 9 year old for ADHD and kept changing them weekly. He was a mess and we couldn't take him off the meds until we found a doctor who can do it safely. We have finally found a competent replacement for her, however, she will not give my new doctor my son's medical records unless I pay a huge unlawful amount. I have reported her to my insurance company and to the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs. I hope that serious action will be taken against her so that others don't have to go through what we are going through. Please, heed the warnings of all the other patient reviews that you can read on all of the websites.
I treated with Dr. Wang for a year and a half, and am so relieved to have found a new psychiatrist. As other reviews warn, she put me on several different medications and increased or decreased the dosage constantly. I strongly recommend seeking help with a different professional. The doctor and her assistant were often combative with me, and I would leave the sessions feeling worse than when they started. Please be careful.
I never write reviews but I am going out of my way to write a negative review for this woman who ruined a year of my life by misdiagnosing me and then overmedicating me to make up for her ignorance. She didn't listen to me and didn't even bother to learn my name after a year with her. She just kept pushing more and more drugs at me even though I told her what the issue was. She is cold and unfeeling. She tries to tell you how to live tor life but doesn't bother to learn anything about you. I'm absolutely disgusted as to how a person who doesn't bother to listen or empathize with you is a psychiatrist. Her misdiagnosis was caught by another doctor within minutes. Do not go to her, she has overwhelmingly negative reviews everywhere.
I've been seeing Dr. Wang for over 2 years. She genuinely wants to help and has obvious compassion for her patients. I've waited less than 10 minutes for 95% of my appointments. She is very knowledgeable, and makes you feel safe and cared for.
I would not recommend Dr. Wang to anybody that is truly seeking help with their mental state. I was with Dr. Wang for several years in which I was prescribed medications with increasing doses very frequently instead of being taught to handle my issues. After a dispute with the doctor, which showed a very ugly side of her, I decided to find a new psychiatrist, I met with 4 different psychiatrists all of whom said they not only knew of Dr. Wang but called her a "criminal". I am now with a new psychiatrist who says she has met many patients who report mental health damage caused by Dr. Wang. If you are truly seeking help to better yourself and your life DO NOT make an appointment with Dr. Wang, it will be a waste of time and a waste of money she is not willing to listen to the feedback patients give her and her answer to everything is medication.
All she does is babble about random things that make absolutely no sense in regards to your treatment. Rarely do you even have a conversation because she talks over you 98% of your appointments. See ANYONE else for help - wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.
Very combative and rude. I'm not patient, the actual patient is a minor and I was just helping his mother to do the follow up because of scheduling issues. At a follow up appointment (my first time meeting dr Wang) I dared to suggest to receptionist not to charge my card immediately because after initial appointment there was confusion and questions regarding both diagnosis, medication and other steps on her instruction page she received. The mother tried to reach out over the phone, but was told to raise those on this appointment. I was told "Dr Wang does not accept patients without payment". I need to mention that mom has paid $350 for the first appointment. After another payment (obviously) and when Dr Wang called me into her room the first thing that happened (before I even said anything) I was called "disrespectful" and "not to ever challenge diagnosis again at the receptionist". The next thing she started questioning my degree (why?!) even though I'm not a patient and was not r

After another payment (obviously) and when Dr Wang called me into her room the first thing that happened (before I even said anything) I was called "disrespectful" and "not to ever challenge diagnosis again at the receptionist". The next thing she started questioning my degree (why?!) even though I'm not a patient and was not really "challenging diagnosis", haven't even said "hello". It went downhill from there. I must add that throughout the whole process I was trying to remain calm, and stayed respectful and non-conflicting because since I'm not direct patient's family, and I don't want to add to ongoing fire. Through the following short conversation she kept being rude and personally attacking me, the patient and his mom (even though she never met them). She never answered a single question thoroughly. Shortly, she said "the conversation is over" (yes, really), called the patient into her room, talked to him for less than five minutes. She came out, I tried to ask her some follow up questions, and she passed me without acknowledgement and avoiding eye contact. Afterwards, her assistant gave me an instructions page. Thankfully, I had a chance to briefly talk to the assistant. She was a lot more reasonable and answered the main question that we had, but still based on incorrect assumptions (I found out later). The new instruction page they gave me, besides "Case is closed and is hence deemed inactive", contained some, once again, impossible steps. E.g. to visit and sign up into a specialized school "today". While in reality the whole process takes multiple weeks and has already been started (and they were told this multiple times). Avoid her if you can.
my daughter went to Dr Wang for a year. She began having a good rapport with her then the crazy adjustments in medication made her crash and feel suicidal. I called 5 times to speak with her with no return phone call, we are done.
Dr. Wang is an amazing psychiatrist. She is extremely knowledgeable. When it comes to medication she is very thorough and does not overmedicate. I truly recommend her group. Her therapists there are excellent as well. They’ve truly helped me with my anxiety and depression. I highly recommend her.
If I could give a negative rating for this doctor I would. You always hear horror stories about doctors who only care about money, and don't care about you as a person etc. and I had never experienced that until visiting Dr. Wang. My first went as follows. I arrived, and waited 45 minutes, and was charged $160 even though I found out later I only owed $45. I still have not received the money back that I overpaid. After finally being seen, I was talking to a therapist who asked me over 50 questions until I was finally seen by Dr. Wang. Once I told Dr. Wang I drank socially I realized what a mistake I had made. She went on and on about how bad alcohol is, and wouldn't listen to a word I said after that. Truly, did not listen to one word. Just kept cutting me off. I had come in for a refill of a prescription I had been on for years, and she refused to give it to me. Instead she recommended another medication. I never wanted to come back again, but also didn't want to have to do anot
I've been seeing Dr. Wang for 2 years. I found her very compassionate, knowledgeable of her job. She took time listening and explained my condition very well. I completely trust her. I am so grateful for her finding the right medicine and her guidance through my recovery. The staffs are friendly.
Doctor Wang is very disrespectful. She doesn’t listen to her patients. My sister in law went because she is feeling anxious and depressed as a result of the cancer she has. She was rude and unprofessional and walked away as my sister in law was asking a question saying “ I don’t have time for this”. Please don’t go to this office. I came with the conclusion that Doctor Wang is the one that needs a Psychiatrist.
She gave me a new perspective on my mental health. !! her staff and team are awesome. Kasey will help you with everything !!
Dr. Wang has been so helpful through my process of finding the right medication for me. We have found the right one and i am so grateful because I have such a better lifestyle now. Her office staff is kind and really do make you feel comfortable. I never wanted to have my problems addressed but this office truly makes me feel human. Great experience always.
I’ve been a patient for about two years, and like most, I was a little apprehensive at first. But Dr. Wang made me feel comfortable from the start and was very attentive to my needs and concerns. I am very glad to be a patient, As the help I received has been excellent.

Dr. Wang has been really helpful to our family. She has taken her time to assess what works for our daughter. She takes the time to talk to us and find out what is working and what needs to be changed to make my daughter ‘s treatment work successfully. We feel comfortable talking to her and find her recommendations helpful. Our daughter is showing great improvement in her mood and is really happy with the treatment she is receiving. She trusts Dr. Wang’s recommendations.
AVOID THIS DOCTOR......Absolutely horrible!! I went because I’m suffering from post- partum depression. I was highly recommended to her but I’m so disappointed with Dr. Wang. She is rude, cold, uncaring, Extremely unprofessional, nasty and she don’t care about her patients. Dr. Wang is only interested in getting the money from patients. Take my advice do not go to this practice....
Amazing place. Friendly and always helpful. I'm so glad I came to here Dr Wang helped me feel like myself again. The 1 star reviews are completely unwarranted.
Shocked to see some one star reviews. She is a great doctor and goes above and beyond my expectations to understand me and my condition. I highly recommend her.
She’s a god-given physician to my sister. With just 5 visits we had, we saw great changes and improvements on her behavior; more calmer, more warm and really going back to her usual self. And she does not mention anymore any visions, voices that she hears. I am praying to the Lord that with her professional talents to cure and help people who have these psychological disorders, may she be granted with more blessings in return. We have high respect to you Dr. Wang! Ur d best!
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Dr. Wei Wang is the worst Doctor I have ever been to. Ever. Do not go if you to her. She will not listen to you. She will ignore any prior medications that have proven to work and she will simply write prescriptions to meds even if you ask to not be on a daily routine. She spent less than ten minutes telling me I need to take certain meds without ever asking me about my issues. Her assistant did that and then handed Wang a sheet she didn't even read.
Dr. Wang is a good doctor I recomend.
After many many years of taking treatment for my depression from other doctors , I finally changed my doctor and came to see Dr. Wei. Wang.. From the very first visit I knew that this is what I needed .. She doesn't just write out prescriptions, she provides therapeutic help in the form of talk sessions , and it's not mandatory.. I have the freedom to accept the talk therapy or reject. And it was something that I really needed! The therapists are so so lovely too! Thanks Dr. Wang ..
Dr Wang is an enthusiastic and empathetic doctor who really supports her patients. She has been nothing but a godsend for me. She has supported me through my mental illness and substance abuse, and went as far as to offer me free medication while I was on disability. Really a caring Doctor. I would highly recommend her services to those who need a compassionate and effective psychiatrist, not just a pill pusher.
We could not be more pleased with the care we are receiving from Danielle and dr. Wang.

Dr. Wang and Danielle have been a lifesaver for my son. He is doing so well. Being on the correct medication and not being misdiagnosed as he was in the past has made all the difference in the world. Thank you so Much!!
Dr. Wang is a great physician, she helped me very much in helping find the correct medication. Very Knowledgeable.
I would leave her a 0 if I could. She has her patients after the visit go online at the desk to give her good reviews. She has 0 interest in the well being of her patients. She literally is a pill pusher. She enjoys arguing. Please find another doctor.

I don't know how she can retain her liscence. The pharmacist stopped me and said the amount of Effexor she prescribed to my child was DANGEROUS and would not release it to me. The pharmacist tried to contact the doctor, but she did not return her call. Avoid his doctor at all costs. Huge ego, argumentative, doesn't listen, pill pusher.

I have never had such a terrible experience with a doctor. Dr. Wang has 0 interest in listening to her patients and only wants to push her agenda. She gave me no guidance on how to taper off my medication safely. She dedicated about 5 minutes to our appointment and blamed my panic attacks on me. The problem is I have never had a panic attack in my life, she clearly did not even bother to review my chart. She is very curt, argumentative and rude. I would advise anyone to seek treatment elsewhere.

AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS! Dr. Wang is the absolute worst type of doctor. After 5 mins of talking to me... she (accusatorially) diagnosed me as being depressed, manic, anxiety ridden and in need of a personal organizer. The issue I actually visited her for was problems paying attending and staying focused at work and in home life. Despite a long family and personal history with ADD... she totally dismissed everything I was saying. I even said to her, "I don't feel depressed. I don't think I
If I could leave 0 stars I would. She must be the worst medical professional (if you could even call her that) I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She is rude, uncaring, belittles your feelings and opinions, and only cares about the money and covering herself and not the well-being of her patient. If you are looking for someone who will pass your therapy time to someone else and only meet with you when it comes time to write a prescription she's the one for you.
I would give a zero if I had the option. Extremely cold, rude and unprofessional . She has absolutely no bedside manner and treated me like trash. I think this psychiatrist needs to seen a psychiatrist. She is the worst Doctor I ever experienced

Worst kind of doctor - rushed, more concerned about finances than helping patients and plainly states she is not interested in listening. Takes personal calls in front of patients. Writes prescriptions before the conversation is over even during initial consultation. Visits last less than 10 minutes. Staff is equally cold. Overall visits feel like business transactions and billing complaints are frequent. Cannot speak about therapists but go elsewhere if you need to see an MD.

Both of my kids come to Dr. Wang's office for couple of years. My kids feel very comfortable there. Their therapist, Jen is great with kids.

Dr Wang is very rude, COLD and unprofessional. She is a know it all that seems very arrogant and does not like to listen to her patient or the patient's advocate. If you disagree with her the situation can become confrontational. She appears unbalanced.....Her assistant who works upstairs is very professional, kind and caring, however WANG lets you know who's in charge.

Working in customer service I was absolutely astonished by the disgusting behavior I encountered at Wei Wangs office. Not only was the office able to fit 1 1/2 people the receptionist and office manager we're extremely rude. I was 10 minutes late because of traffic which was my fault but as I walked in dr Wei wang was letting her client out. Perfect! She was running late as well, no problem! But because I was ten minutes late they took their next client in front of me. (How does that make sens
