I’ve seen Dr. Garvis on several occasions, one of which was for a craniotomy and inner ear surgery. He is an expert in his chosen field. He is knowledgeable, professional, experienced, thorough and explains things in every day language. You will have total peace of mind and fantastic outcomes in his care.

I was experiencing multiple symptoms - vertigo, hearing loss, balance issues, and anxiety - when I first met Dr. Garvis. He put me through a series of tests, quickly diagnosed the source of my problems, and recommended effective therapy and medication. He has remained my doctor for nearly a decade, and I highly recommend him.

Dr Garvis is literally the only ENT that knows what i was dealing with and going thru. He was my 4th ENT and he saved my life and continues to do so. I appreciate him very much and the care he provides.

Dr.Garvis is a really great doctor. I've been having problems with my ears and he has fixed my right ear last year and now has fixed my left ear a week ago. He helped me get rid of all the ringing and know, hopefully soon will be able to hear just as good or even better with my left ear soon. Thank you Dr. Garvis.

After seeing several ENT’s in 7 yrs that didn’t know how to help me with worsening (getting louder!) PT in both ears, I was referred to Dr Garvis. He looked at my MRI’s and explained exactly what I was happening…and it was a different cause in each ear! So in a few weeks I’ll finally be having the “loudest” ear repaired. He took the time to answer my questions and didn’t rush me. I’m so looking forward to some peace and quiet! If all goes well I should be able to have the other ear done in 6-12 months.

I have been seeing Dr. Garvis and the team at Ear, Nose & Throat Specialty Care for the past 10+ years. I am always impressed with how nice and friendly he is, and how he always takes the time to answer all of my questions.

He's the most punctual and thurough Doc. around. He takes the time to know me and my care needs.

Dr. Garvis has been my specialist since I was in middle school with severe ear infections. Dr. Garvis is such a conscientious doctor! He takes the time to explain everything to you in great detail. He is so full of knowledge and will give you the best care possible! I would definitely recommend him for any ENT problems. I feel so lucky that a friend recommended him to me years ago.

I spent a year investigating my hearing issue with 8 different doctors and a host of tests. In one appointment with Dr. Garvis he knew exactly what was going on and knew how to fix it. My left ear is now fully hearing again after losing 85%. My right ear is next. My left hearing aid is retired and my right one will be packed away in a few months, too. Just unbelievable what he did for me. I don’t think anyone else has his skill in this area. Dr Garvis is fantastic in his understanding of complex hearing issues and is wonderful to interface with as a patient. Professional and compassionate with excellent interpersonal skills - something you don’t always get with advanced highly-skilled surgeons.

Had an appointment with ENT Specialist yesterday. I was experiencing a problem with my ear, lose of hearing, ringing and dizziness. I saw Dr. Bill Garvis. The experience from start to finish was seamless from making my appointment, the staff and the thoroughness of the visit. I originally saw Dr. Garvis over ten years ago when I was first diagnosed with cancer in my sinus. He has performed surgery on me and has I have seen him many times since. At each and every appointment, he is always incredibly nice and friendly, and he always takes the time to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns.

Dr. Garvis was fabulous! He took the time to explain everything and show me the images of my scan. His explanations were clear and thorough. I left feeling like I had all the information I needed to understand my options and make a decision.

Dr. Garvis made time over his lunch hour to expertly remove impacted earwax from both ears and completely restore my hearing.

One of the best doctors I have ever seen. He is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to ensure I feel heard. He works hard to find the problem and a solution. He explains everything very well and ensures you are comfortable with treatments.

I was referred to Dr. Garvis after experiencing vertigo-like symptoms which occasionally led to brief periods of anxiety. I'm also very hard of hearing. Dr. Garvis analyzed my complex combination of symptoms, conducted a thorough examination, and recommended a treatment plan - which included medication and a few behavior modifications. The changes resulted in a significant improvement of my health and overall quality of life. I'm grateful and I highly recommend Dr. Garvis as a care provider.

I had a second opinion appt with Dr. Garvis. He expertly examined the CT scan, found missing info from the radiologist's report, took a culture to determine the right course of action, and completely changed the medication. He was very confident and approachable and took time to discuss my options.

My infant son was referred to this ENT due to recurrent ear infections. My husband and I disliked every interaction we had with this doctor. Our initial consult was lengthy only because we got to hear the life story of this doctor, while we wanted information on our son's upcoming ear tube surgery. The follow-up was awful, and I did attempt to see a different doctor, but was told that it would be best to see the same doctor who performed our surgery. Within 5 minutes of the appointment, I started packing up my things because I was RIDICULED for administering antibiotics for my son's current ear infection. The pediatrician prescribed these in conjunction with the steroid/antibiotic drops we were already using. Dr. Garvis has a real issue with antibiotics and acts as if he is the supreme authority on when they should be used. In fact, he told me that I should stop seeing our pediatrician because they didn't know what they were doing. His tone was unlike any doctor I've ever visited. I'm a new mom and I'm just trying to relieve my son's pain. Upon leaving, I notified the receptionist about my bad experience and I called the supervisor at the clinic due to the fact I could not stop thinking about this terrible experience for hours after. - long waiting time for both appointments -loves to brag about family and talk about medical studies that are essentially unrelated to my specific concerns -failed to give us information about the procedure until I asked -generally short, rude, and not great with infants. I would NOT have gone through with the surgery if I had more time, but my son was in pain and had months of ear infections at this point. Our family has seen Gary (William's father), who has since retired, and William for many years. I have a special needs daughter that went through many bouts of ear infections when she was a toddler. I've seen Dr. Garvis for my own ENT needs. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

I have seen Dr. Garvis for several years. He is knowledgeable and has helped me each time I have seen him. I always appreciate his taking the time to explain his plan of care to me. Very kind doctor. Highly recommend him!

I consulted with Dr. Garvis back in 2005 about a very serious inner ear issue that was causing me to experience serious vertigo and other extreme neurological symptoms, such as the sensation of walking on slanted floors and bouncing in a turbulent jetliner, 24-7. He did a few simple tests to see if I could walk a straight line and took a peek in my ears. He gave me no conclusive diagnosis, and didn't suggest any further testing, nor did he suggest I get tested for any kind of viral infection, which later proved to be my underlying issue. (I was later diagnosed with three viruses that has attacked my inner ears and brain stem.) A few years later, while consulting with another doctor, I happened to see some notes Dr. Garvis had written about me, which suggested that I was emotionless and prosaic during my appointment with him, ---as if to suggest that maybe I had some mental issue going on. (Try sitting in a chair in a doctor's office, when you are feeling violently dizzy, and interacting with the doctor with any kind of normalcy!) The unfortunate fact is that, I was disabled for several years before I got my correct diagnosis. Only then was I able to find the kind of remedies that would support me in getting well. The remedies I took were not drug based, as I went the alternative route. That said, Dr. Garvis was (hands down) one of the most irresponsible and arrogant doctors I have ever met. My daughter Mallory has been having ear popping issues for years. We went to a handful of ENT specialists around Minnesota and had no outcomes. Dr. Garvis listened to Mallory's issues via phone and was able to diagnose a patulous eustachian tube! Thank you for truly listening to this never-ending problem Dr. Garvis, your amazing!
