Dr. Mitchell obviously knows his stuff, however just as importantly, he CARES!! I went there feeling very scared, but I left feeling relieved. I have complete faith that he will get to the bottom of whatever is going on. Like Dr. Mitchell, each member of staff, from Stacy at the front desk to several nurses, all treated me with the utmost respect. Everyone is so warm & caring! Over the last 30 years I have seen so many doctors all over this country, as well as overseas. I have also worked in hospitals & doctors offices, so it takes a lot to impress me. I have complete faith that he will get to the bottom of whatever is going on. When I had breast cancer, I lived in Florida and was not happy with my oncologist so our son in Charlotte went on line and found Dr. Mitchell. We drove up to check him out and I have never been sorry. We had just retired so my husband drove back home to get our RV and we lived in it while I went through chemo and radiation. Dr. Mitchell is the nicest person with a great bedside manner, in addition to being a skilled and caring doctor. He knows that he has to get rid of the cancer, but still keep the patient alive. When I chose him, there was a review that said, "Cancer treatment is a horrible thing to go through, but if you have to go through it, he is the doctor you want on your side." I agree so I come back to him every year to get checked out even though we still don't live in North Carolina. I recommend him to everyone.

He always has my back and is more on top of my conditions then myself

Please get a second opinion for anything that you are told there. They said my dad was fine even after complaining several months about his stomach. Even seen him on a Thursday and 4 days later my father passed away

I have personally been through some pretty bad stuff! I have been under Dr. Mitchells care for about 15 years and can't say enough good about him, his compassion and attentive care is second to none. I needed surgical help outside his practice and he placed me in the right place with the best medical team and subsequently I'm here today to offer this testimony. I knew I was in a bad way but Dr. Mitchell never let me know it, he stayed upbeat so that I would and it worked! I have personally been through some pretty bad stuff! From the moment I met him, I knew I would follow Dr. Mitchell off a cliff! Thank God he hasn't led me there, but instead I am thriving even after having been given a devastating prognosis last year. He has deep knowledge and compassion, is protective of his patients yet very open to other opinions and alternatives to traditional treatments, he welcomes tough questions from informed patients and caregivers, and gives it to you straight but always with a healthy dose of HOPE! He loves his work!

I found him to be arrogant and downright dishonest. After getting a second opinion I realized just how many things he told me were not true. He was driven by how much money he would make from my insurance.

It's difficult to believe that someone with a medical license can give such poor recommendations. After changing to another oncologist, I was amazed to find out how many of Dr. Mitchell's descriptions and recommendations were inaccurate in regard to my condition and treatment. Mitchell is a guy who likes to be in charge without actually taking the steps to be in charge. Staff dropped the ball NUMEROUS times, too. Unbelievable.

Dr Mitchell truly cares about his patients. That was apparent to me from my very first visit to him. This journey with cancer has been a very scary one and I am so grateful that he has held my hand through this dark time. He has honored all of my decisions with my treatments and has been very considerate of my feelings. I would recommend him, number 1 for his expertise in this field, number 2 for his great heart that he has shown me, and number 3 for his great personality and bedside manner.

Dr. Mitchell is a wonderful doctor and one of the few that I have total confidence in what he is saying to me. He is very caring and informative and I never feel rushed when talking with him. I would highly recommend him. Did I mention he is extremely funny?! He is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the medical professionals I have experienced.
