Wow!! My first visit.He was amazing.I still can't believe how awesome he was.I had given up on Ortho Drs .I still can't believe it after what I have dealt with horrible Drs.He has it all .Honest Kind Smart.I haven't even had surgery yet.Go meet him yourself..I'm still in awe.

Dr. William Pistel is the best orthopedic surgeon in the medical field today. I’ve had two knee replacements and am getting ready for a hip replacement. I’m excited about it. Because this Dr rocks. He’s the best. Why? Extremely perceptive and personable. Honest. No BS. My significant other had a hip replacement by this genius of a surgeon. Perfection. He is encouraging and positive. He spends as much time as you need at each appointment. If anybody reported differently, that’s on them. Because he’s with you, never in 7 years has he rushed me. I trust Dr. Pistel with my life. I cannot say that about any of my other current physicians. Or any that I’ve ever had in the past. This man is the most empathetic,kind and understanding person I’ve ever known. And he just happens to be a extraordinary surgeon. Don’t go anywhere else. At 67 years old- I know this is a fact. Love this doctor.

Dr Pistel has been my Dr.since 2014. I’ve had both knees replaced by him. Excellent. They feel like my own knees. I was able to make a full recovery at 65 years old and actually went snow skiing in the winter of 2018. Among other physical activities. Dr. Pistel is a genius ok? He is. He’s the most personable, perceptive, articulate, kind, empathetic, highly educated in all facets of life. His expertise isn’t limited to being the finest orthopedic surgeon I’ve ever experienced or heard of. I don’t know how Modesto was blessed with this angel of mercy. But I can say he is the only Orthopedic surgeon who I will allow to touch me. He listens, he understands before you complete your sentence. This Doctor could work anywhere in the world and be considered the finest. I lived in the Bay Area for over 30 years. Nobody in the medical field that I experienced in all that time came close to Dr. William Pistel. He will be replacing my hip in 2022. Not worried one bit! Dr Pistel has been my Dr.since 2014. He did arthroscopy one both knees within a couple years. BEST Ortho surgeon ever!!! Great pre-op care, excellent surgery and impeccable after care. Highly recommend.

Dr William Pistel I’d the kindest, most caring Dr. that exists in the medical field today. There is no Dr. in this County that can match Dr.Pistel is probably the best orthopedic surgeon in the world. No joke. I won’t let another Dr. touch me. Bill Pistil can And will save your life.

Dr Pistel worked miracles on me! He replaced both my hips within 3 months of each other, when my General doctor saw me he was in shock. He said I had the worse gate (walk) he’d ever seen and now I walk fine! Doctors and nurses are great, front office was not that friendly.

He did a diagnostic and he didn't even touch my dad, they also was charging me 75 for ray x ,, and they didn't even do it,, so l was for my money back.

Dr. Pistel is a great doctor but really needs to dial in the after care. Waiting an hour plus for appts is ridiculous!

I broke my femur in a car accident and almost lost my left leg. Dr. Pistel was able to do surgery on my femur and place a titanium rod inside the bone. My leg/bone healed and I am able to walk and run just like before. He is an amazing orthopedic doctor. I had to start seeing a local orthopedic doctor and even he was impressed with how well Dr. Pistel did with my femur.

Dr. Pistel has been my orthopedic surgeon for many years, starting with carpal tunnel. Dr. Pistel is never in a rush to do surgery. He has always tried other options first to avoid surgery, but if those other options did not work, he left the decision to me, and because I trust him, I always opt to have the surgery. He is great with kids too! He has known my daughter since she was 3 and she is now 21. Yes, he also has treated her in the past.

He is honest and great , you may have to wait to see him but he takes his time with each patient. Knowing he would take as much time as needed didn't mind wait was well worth it. I would highly recommend this doc. He gave me my life back. After a year and a half on crutches from another doc. I cannot say enough.

I broke my ankle and needed surgery. He has done both hip replacement and knee replacement surgeries on my Mother and I wouldn’t dream of having another surgeon performing the surgery on my ankle! Thank you for a job well done!!

Dr Pistel is the best Orthopaedic surgeon . I’ve had both knees replaced by him. Perfection. I can snow ski and dive,hike and kneel on the floor less than a year after surgery. Dr. Pistel is pleasant and comforting to be around. He answers all questions and gives me his undivided attention. Eye contact. He’s fabulous. Stanislaus County is very fortunate to have a physician of the caliber and precision of Dr. William Pistel. I highly recommend him to all friends and loved ones. Hands down!

I was in the hospital with severe pain in my leg. Dr. Pistel came in and explained to me that if my condition was left untreated that evening, it most likely would be fatal. He performed a life saving surgery. He is polite, courteous, professional, and a great doctor. I highly recommend his services.

What can I say about Dr. Pistel other than I think he's a fantastic Doctor, his bedside manner is the best, now that I don't have to see him very often after my broken ankle I'm sad I don't get to go in that often, almost glad of minor issues that have brought me back in! On June 20, 2016 I had a total hip replacement. I met my highly recommended surgeon, Dr. William Pistel, a few weeks before the hip replacement procedure.  He was known not only for his surgical expertise, but for a positive "bedside" manner.  Before Dr. Pistel even entered the room, I could hear him interacting enthusiastically with staff and other patients.  As soon as he came in and introduced himself, I knew that he possessed a unique quality; excellent compassionate care.

I had a severe deteriorated hip, he was the only Dr that took the time to actually look at my hip and do a total hip replacement. He saved my life literally! Thank you Dr Pistel I'll be forever thankful, and he is also doing my other hip:)
