Yoon Mark Hong

I went to Dr. Hong because my GP discovered a growth on my prostate. Dr. Hong performed a digital exam and found the growth, and suggested a biopsy. I said let's get it scheduled. He said we can do it TODAY if you don't need sedation. I asked if that wouldn't be kind of painful, to which he responded, verbatim, "You might feel some discomfort but it shouldn't be too bad." I have come to believe he was knowingly lying. But foolishly I trusted him and said "let's do it!" I won't disgust anyone with the details of the procedure, but it was extraordinarily painful, and I expressed this to him at the time. Rather than acknowledge my pain, he kept trying to talk to me about symptoms, like we just sitting in the office instead of on a table with devices eating me from the inside with no sedation. I have come to learn that sedation is pretty common for the procedure. He had to know it was not a matter of "discomfort" but he didn't care. NO EMPATHY AT ALL.

Condescending, rude and manipulative. Stay away from this guy!!!!

Easy to talk to about my condition. Had time for me and reviewed what my options where, honest about my best choices I am facing. Next week plan on having the GL treatment.

Dr. Hong was referred to me by my primary care practice. I viewed Dr. Hong's website before I met with him, which provided good background information. I was not disappointed at my initial meeting. He is well-informed and easy to talk to about medical problems. I've been pleased with the services I have received since then..

Seemed hurried and more interested in telling me what an amazing doctor he was rather than listening to me. I get it, you went to Stanford and Harvard but what can you do for me. There was a young man trailing him who kept smiling at me in a very uncomfortable way. Would never go back...
