I never write reviews, but I felt it necessary for this one. I was looking for a new Primary care physician, and I came across the name of one of the doctors at Worthington family physicians. I found this name through my insurance portal, and it said that this doctor should be covered by my insurance. In order to become a new patient, I was told I would need to print and fill out some forms from their website and bring them in in person. I double checked on the phone that they took my insurance, and the person at the desk said yes. After filling out all the forms and driving to their location and handing a person at the front desk my information, I was told that I would be called to schedule appointment once my information was in their system. For the third time, I checked to make sure my insurance would be covered. And the lady at the front desk told me it would. Sensing a theme yet? Well, I never received a call. So about a month later, I called back (admittedly I should’ve called back sooner, but I had a lot going on), and I am told that a message was left at my phone number on 8/5/2021, which supposedly informed me that they were no longer accepting new patients under my insurance. When I expressed to the woman at the front desk that A) I never received that call and had no message on my voicemail from that date (or any other from them) and B) that I was frustrated because I had checked multiple times that my insurance would be covered, she said “Yeah, sorry about that” and promptly hung up. I've been a patient of Dr. Unk's and in her absence, most the other doctors at Worthington Family Physicians for 10+ years. The warmth, knowledge and professionalism of Doctor Unk cannot be overstated. The genuine concern she shows her patients is reminiscent of the old time small town doctors, despite this being a very busy practice. Regarding the other Doctor's and staff; I can only tell you they are of the highest caliber and I have never had cause to question a diagnoses, treatment or billing. They've all earned my respect, confidence and heartfelt gratitude! I've been a patient of Dr. Unk's and in her absence, most the other doctors at Worthington Family Physicians for 10+ years. Doctor cye or however you spell his name ignores your concerns and always tries to put you on an antidepressant for everything. He must get a huge kick back from the pharmaceutical companies for dishing out antidepressants . I've had problems with antidepressants in the past but yet he ignores this fact I suffer from high anxiety. He tries to treat this with an antidepressant he says he has worries about the DEA investigating him. I wonder what he's done in the past to worry about the DEA investigating a perscription for high anxiety. I've taken anxiety medication for 7 years and switch doctors do to a divorce. He treat everyone like drug addicts and threatens to drug test you for not be able to sleep at night. I would not recommend dr.
