So professional and caring

Would like to thank Dr. Shaia, Christina Chappell, and the entire staff at OrthoVA-Parham & OrthoVA-Bremo for my recent knee replacement surgery and continued rehab. They have been great to work with as everyone involved was very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I have total confidence with each of them to provide timely and accurate answers to any questions I might have and to offer treatment for all orthopedic needs that arise. Because this has been a very easy process, I'm actually looking forward to scheduling my other knee replacement surgery for later this year. Thanks again for everything!!!

Dr. Shaia has provided me excellent care for my knee problem. He listens carefully and provides clear information and explanations. He is available when I need his help and is very responsive to my messages.

I HADN'T SEEN DR. ANTHONY SHIA FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS. HE'S A FANTASTIC DOCTOR THAT I'D RECOMMEND TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS WITH NO HESITATION! DR. SHIA WAS MY SURGEON FOR MY THIRD LEFT KNEE REPLACEMENT. AND DR. SHIA DID A BLOOD TEST THAT SHOWED THAT I'M VERY ALLERGIC TO NICKLE. I HAD 2 OTHER SURGEONS THAT PUT NICKLE IMPLANTS. DR. SHIA IS A GREAT MAN AND SURGEON. SEE HIM IF YOU'RE HAVING KNEE PROBLEMS! HE'S THE 'MAN'!

I had a very positive experience with Anthony J. Shaia, and each staff member that worked with me. Dr. Shaia was extremely pleasant, and thorough in his explanation of my condition and treatment plan. I highly recommend Dr. Shaia and the practice of Ortho Virginia.

Having seen Dr Shaia on several occasions, I always leave in a better frame of mind once his diagnosis is made as I know I'm in good hands and don't need to worry. Dr Shaia is very accommodating and shows great concern for my well being and takes his time to answer any questions I may have. In this day and time, bed side manner is the utmost importance as some doctors tend to brush off their patients as they put quantity before quality. Dr Shaia is indeed a quality doctor!

Professional and courteous staff as well as caring doctors!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shaia for several years. He is professional and personable! He takes time to discuss my concerns and my illness. I feel very comfortable relying on his professional judgement.

Greated warmly upon arival, all staff very polite.Wait time was very short.

Efficient check-in for appointment and Dr Shaia was very informative and responsive to my questions.

Dr.Shaia did knee replacement on me ayear ago.Yesterday was my yearly checkup Aok.

They are prompt, efficient and effective. Dr shaia and his staff identified my issue, addressed my needs and , therefore put my mind at ease

Dr. Anthony J. Shaia, M.D. is very caring, patient, and understanding. He takes time to answer your questions and provide you with valuable information to ensure you are knowledgeable about your health situation. He replaced my right knee a year ago. It feels great to finally walk without pain and to have a better quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Anthony J. Shaia to any who is encounting knee or hip pain. Before, during and after my surgery he continually checked in with me (at home, visited me daily at the hospital) to see how I was doing (has a good bedside manner). The office personnel were great! I was never made to feel that Dr. Shaia was rushing through my appointment. He answered all my questions, and gave me the needed treatment so I’m feeling better already.

Dr. Shaia took the time to explain my condition, options, and details on procedure and recovery. He has a pleasant demeanor and took the time to answer any questions I had. Makes you feel confident and comfortable with the information he presents and care he provides.

Dr. Shaia replaced my hip 21 years ago. I've recently had an issue with my hip because of a blood infection. He is very attentive and seems genuinely interested in helping you understand the issues you're going through. I highly recommend Dr. Shaia. 5 stars!

He's addressed all my concerns and needs, had been straight forward and supportive and protective, keeping me from further injuring myself, with me trying to recover to fast. Had helped me with a plan to recover and do better not much more i could possibly ask of my doc, he's great!

Doctor Anthony Shaka did an awesome job on my total knee replacement. It’s been a year since the surgery. He has been there every step of the way. Checking on me personally right after my surgery and letting me know what I needed to do for total recovery. Great Doctor and also an awesome person. C. Gordon

Dr Shaia is the best physician for knee replacements. I have had two at different times. The last was about 3-4 years ago. I was back dancing two months after the last surgery and am (at 79) dancing every day and also teaching. I have great balance on both legs and can still do high kicks. I have Dr Shaia to thank for what wonderful physical health I am in.

Great surgeon and staff

Dr. Anthony Shaia is an invaluable asset for Orthopedic conditions and is also an Excellent surgeon for Total Knee Replacement. He genuinely cares, listens closely and explains detailed knowledge regarding your condition. He evaluates each individual person accordingly . His experience with joint replacements clearly helped my surgery and recovery outcome a success . His Physicians Assistant is wonderful. His office nurses and assistants are super kind and helpful. The Pre-op, Surgery and Post op was extremely well organized. His hospital team at Henrico Parham's Dr.'s Hospital was also kind , caring and totally attentive to any patients needs . They're truly Professionals who care about their patients. I'm grateful for the medical expertise and services I received from them. It was my pleasure to have had such a thorough, kind, successful medical and surgical experience with Dr. Shaia and all of his team members. A highly and respectfully recommend him.

I was impressed that he didn’t glance at his watch; wasn’t hurried at all. I felt like he actually cares for his patients.

The staff, facility, and Dr. Shaia are all excellent. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Shaia is magnificent...he really listen to his patient. He also educate you and help understand the medical terminology and the way your body works with the medication and therapy.

I could not be more pleased with the overall experience I had with Dr. Shaia's procedure on my hip replacement. I was walking without any assistance in a little over a week and I have been walking, cycling, etc. without any issues whatsoever to this day. It was a life changer. Thank you Dr. Shaia.

Dr. Shaia was very professional. He called me the night before surgery to ask if I had any final questions. My knee replacement surgery was two weeks ago. I am progressing very well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shaia and zorro Va.

Dr. Shaia has an excellent “bedside” manner. He listens to you . He also explains treatment plan, strategies,etc. He puts you at ease and he is very trustworthy. It means a lot to me that he takes the time. I highly recommend Dr.Shaia!

He's an impressive physician but more importantly has outstanding and compassionate people skills. He's honest with his thoughts and is listens; does not rush to hurry to the next person. He treats you as an individual who needs attention versus the next patient in line.

Office Visit with Dr Shaia for 1 year follow up for total right side hip replacement surgery. Checking In, vitals and X-ray staff were professional and efficient. Dr Shaia’s surgery was a complete success. He also provided an accurate diagnosis for future care.

Dr Shaia is an excellent doctor and surgeon. He was my doctor for both hip replacements and my recovery was excellent. He listens and explains clearly. His office is run very smoothly. I highly recommend Dr Shaia!

Dr. Shaia is tremendous! He is a good surgeon and a good doctor, both performing my surgery well and interacting with me will. He called me at home several times before and after my surgery, and he promptly interacted with me through the portal. He answered all my questions, and he advised me very helpfully.

The doctor came in, looked at my records, did not examine me (even though the nurse had me put on a gown), and spent 90 seconds in the room. And he had no real answer for the one question I presumed to ask. It was the worse doctor visit I have ever had. A complete waste of time and money.

I was referred to Dr. Shaia by one of his operating room nurses. He has been a very good choice. He left it up to me whether or not to get surgery saying it was fine to put it off if I was doing OK. When I finally made the decision, he took plenty of time with me to answer all my questions. Very professional. Listened to what I had to say and took the appropriate actions to take care of my issues. Excellent bedside manner and I feel like I can trust him.

Dr. Shaia is thorough and friendly. He has been my ortho physician for many years and I trust him implicitly with my care.

I have had no issues with Dr Shaia he has been excellent in every avenue we have gone down, I have confidence that my upcoming partial knee surgery will be a success.

Dr Shaina and hi is staff were great to work with for my 2 hip replacements. Always prompt, professional and caring. Getting older has it's pains, but the OrthoVA team helped to alieviate mine.

Right knee pain

Dr. Shaia replaced my right knee in March of this year 2021. He will be replacing the left knee this month. I can think of no better referral than that!

The doctor Anthony is a very Nice guy

Dr. Anthony Shaia and his medical team are simply the best. They are responsive, they care about you and they are really good at what they do. So glad I chose them for my total knee replacement! Dr. Shaia was wonderful. Offered PT and /or at home exercises for my back issues. Due to my work schedule, I appreciated the option. Will do PT if I cannot resolve the pain with my exercises. He and his staff are very friendly and have excellent COVID precautions in place. On top of everything else, my wait was less than 5 minutes!!!
