Their receptionist is trash! The Dr. Is great and all really polite and the nurses too but their receptionist Priscilla is literally the reason why I am seeking another medical Dr.

Horrible! I would not recommend this office! How is this practice still in business? His staff are all so incompetent, ignorant and rude. Hope they close them down one day. Thats is how horrible this office is! Save your sanity and money and stay away from this office

Dr. Izquierdo is great. He listens to your concerns and explains things very clearly. The front office is absolutely trash. Those people at the front are lazy imbecils who have no business being in charge of scheduling patients. I've had to wait 2-3 weeks on 3 separate occasions to get scheduled, get a specialist referral appointment, and get results from a potentially dangerous lab test. I have been a patient of Dr. Izquiredo for a little less than 2 years now and he has been nothing short of professional, empathetic, understanding and knowledgeable. However, the support/administrative staff is disappointing. I had to be out of work for about 2 weeks per doctors recommendation and prior to my return to work, FMLA paperwork had to be submitted. My HR work office had to fax them the paperwork twice because they could not locate the fax and still they could not locate it. I had to email them the paperwork so they could finally get it. I was at the doctors office the day I asked them about filling out the paperwork, they told me they would call me back. Days go by and not a phone call or email, I reached out them several times but could never get past their phone system, or maybe it's them hanging up on me after the automated messages, I'm not sure, point is I never got a hold of them. I had to send them an email and ask on progress and/or details, finally after days, they inform me that the paperwork would take up to 14 business days to complete and that their is a $25 fee. Information that could have been useful when I was at the office and I could have paid the fee then. Another week goes by, this is three weeks of me attempting to get the paperwork from them, I finally show up at the office because I am getting no where with phone calls and emails. Their COVID19 process is to sit in the car and call them upon arrival for assistance, somehow, my calls always go through when I'm in the parking lot. I inform them I am there to pick up the paperwork and submit the fee (they only accept cash or check) only to be informed that the paperwork doesn't get started on until the payment is submitted. At this point, I've had enough, I begin to tell the lady on the phone that this is unacceptable and all I heard was avoidance and placing blame on others. "Someone was supposed to call you." "Someone was supposed to tell you this." "The lady at your work was suppose to inform you." The lady I was talking to on the phone had no empathy to my situation and what I was going through, not once was there a sorry or acknowledgement that they dropped the ball, it was again, there was a misunderstanding and someone from your office didn't tell you. Basically saying its not their fault, so I told them I needed the paperwork today since its been 3 weeks of me trying to get this from them, their solution was to charge me a $30 fee (in addition to the $25) for expediting the paperwork to be completed today. Instead of continuing to discuss their shortcomings I paid the fee, asked for a receipt and an estimated time of when it would be completed. I just followed up with my HR colleague and they've finally received the paperwork. This was an awful experience for me and I never want to go through this again. This office is a joke! I'd give a zero star if I could. I was left on hold for 30 minutes after trying to contact the facility for 3 weeks. I was told I'd get a call back with information about a referral to a specialist that was needed, but I'm going on week 4 and no call back. Also, my prescription was not sent to the pharmacy and it took weeks to finally get someone in that office on the phone to get the script sent out. I think monkeys can run that place better than what that Dr has there now. The doctor is good but his staff is the worst. His staff is so bad and make it not worth going to him. Went to see Dr. Izquierdo today and I must say the staff and the doctor were exceptional. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. The doctor took his time, listened, and addressed all my concerns. Highly recommended

One star toi high....my daughter went in on Monday with left lower quad pain, fever, and nausea...went back on Wednesday and turned away due to no more ins despite having blood in stool also had been checked into a room and completed all vital signs. She was told the doctor was about to see her with the so called medical assistant went in and told her she needed to leave and couldnt be seen due to ins. Had an appointment at 3:00 PM. Checked in, waited one hour, still 2 ahead of me so I walked out and cancelled my appointment. This is ridiculous! One lady had been waiting since 2:00 PM. Most unorganized office I have ever seen.

Dr Izquierdo is very caring he listens to ur health issues and takes his time with u however the wait even with appointment can be very long over 1 hour. I’m just gonna change doctor bcuz i can’t afford to spend ALL morning waiting to be seen. Other than that this is a really good doctor.

Dr is extremely professional ! Staff is horrible! Refusal to give me a copy of my referral to see a RA that the doctor wrote for me 30 days ago . Office hangs up on me on purpose . Finally I had to have my husband talk to the office and she agrees after many refusals to give the copy of part of my medical records of referral she say you can come tomorrow . This girl failed to make an appointment for Nunery who takes 3-4 months so I made one myself in Austin and she tells my husband your referral is for some doctor in Brownsville ! As far as I know she can not force who I see for a doctor! New day called three times again who still clueless after asking to fax to husband they act like they have to look it up in the chart . No complain about Dr. Izquierdo, but office staff doesn't know what they are doing. They keep telling me they are submitting approval to pharmacy to refill a prescription and they never do it. Also takes them forever to cash a check.

Highly recommend Dr. Arnulfo Izquierdo to everyone! He is very friendly, helpful, horned as well as professional. He spent time to talk to you , explain to you what is best for your health. He has lots of experience, he is also very good at what he is doing. He knew right away what happened to my dad health ( others don’t figure it out ) even before looking at his blood test, ... Staff are all students, and they dont have a clue what they are doing. Not professional at all and they take forever to see patients.

Worst place ever!!! Took over 5 months just to do a sleep study!! I had to call week after week just to get the machine needed for the study as well as badger them for 2 months after I turned machine in to get results....really!!! Not to mention this place is dirty, like have someone clean the office every now and then there’s dust everywhere. Seats in waiting are worn out looks like junk from a garage sale. Dr is very nice and patient... having said that the staff is a joke, I had to call in 6 times for a prescription I absolutely need .. just to be told by my pharmacist that they cancelled my prescription until I saw the doctor again, shouldn’t I know what’s going on with my prescriptions? With my doctor? With my health? Why did the pharmacist had to call me to tell me to make a appointment?? But they never bothered to call me directly. I have been a patient here for 3 years. When I was trying to handle an issue with the staff refusing to submit an updated referral for surgery I asked to speak with the doctor regarding the matter. Prior to going into the office, my surgeon's office told me that they had been screening their phone calls and placing them on hold for long periods of time. I called my insurance company and asked a representative to call them. The insurance company told me that the staff hung up on him and wouldn't answer until the 10th time he called back. When I went in to verify that they had faxed a referral they told me that they couldn't because the insurance company wouldn't accept it (after the insurance company called them and gave them the fax number to submit it.) The office manager told me "that's not gonna happen" and threw me out of the office. The Dr. is actually very good but his staff is rude, incompetent and unprofessional. As a patient I would have thought that an office manager would try to help me solve a problem, instead she told me that the problem was with my insurance and not them. My insurance company and the doctor requiring the referral say otherwise. Because I liked the doctor I have put up with the rude staff, the incompetent nurses (they actually put someone else's name on my lab work) and the excessively long waits-sometimes well over an hour. Being treated like that was the last straw. Find a doctor that has a decent staff and an office manager that actually cares about solving a patient's problem instead of going on an ego trip and kicking them out of the office. Probably the worst doctors office in Harlingen. Sad to say that I have not been to many decent doctors in the valley, but this office takes the cake. They are very unprofessional and they schedule the several people at the same time. You WILL wait a long time here. The nurses are very rude and tried to charge us three times for our appointment while snickering, thinking it is funny. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO TO A GOOD DOCTOR. Very caring Dr. He's really attentive to his patients and treats you like a human being unlike some doctors who think they're better because the have a very advanced education. The only downfall is the wait even when an appointment is made but other then that one of the best doctors I've had yet.

My experience that I had with Dr Izquierdo was great. Yes the wait can be long but my opinion he a great caring doctor treats his patients with class and he has a great staff and they make you feel right at home. :)

Best doctor I've ever had. Really cares for you. Doesn't rush through you like most doctors. He really takes the time to educate you on what's going on with you. No complaints about the doctor but the wait can be long even with a appointment. You got to go on a slow part of the day.
