So far everyone I deal with have been helpful and professional. Dr Vakili has listened and was very knowledgeable and explains things in detail.

Dr. Vakili and his team are GREAT with the exception of their billing/financial team. I had an insurance fraud issue that is now resolved after 6+ months of my husband and I grueling back and forth on the phone between BCBS,  the Marketplace and Humana. Of course, that issue caused conflict with me being scheduled with Dr. Vakili's office for future appointments understandably so, and in regards to the claims being submitted to be paid correctly. Because the insurance fraud was not something that was expected nor was my own fault, I don't understand why I as the PATIENT had to sit on the phone with Humana to recieve the COB for un-paid claims due to the fraud, when I was advised by Humana that the billing dept in Dr. Vakili's office, can call for that information. Mind you, this had been a few times I'd been asked by the billing dept to perform this task that THEY should be doing. Today, I had an appointment for 11:45 am. I recieved a text message around 10:30 or so, saying that my appt was not approved because I needed to get my COB!!! In the text message as well it stated that the office had been trying to reach me (however, there are ZERO voicemails from anyone from Dr. Vakili's office staff)which is not correct procedure because when you call a patient's phone, you are supposed to leave a MESSAGE everytime...especially of such importance in my situation of appointments not being "approved" due to no COB on file!! I wasted my entire morning getting ready to attend my appointment, only to be surprised by a text message (not even the decency of a phone call), at the LAST MINUTE for the cancellation of an appointment that had been scheduled MONTHS AGO!! The billing department literally had MONTHS to figure out what they needed to do in order to recieve the COB they needed. They also had MONTHS to cancel my appointment!!! I drove out there today to drop off the letter that proves that the insurance fraud situation was resolved. Although I was advised they would NOT need the letter, I gave it to the girls at the front desk anyway to give to Nicole or whomever in billing can square away the situation. If the office had advised me they needed it, they would have recieved it today had my appointment not been cancelled at the LAST minute!! I'll admit, the young lady at the front desk I railed at was polite and very calm on the phone call while I vented my pent up frustration of a situation that I'd been dealing with in regards to their billing department wanting me to do something that is THEIR job!!! Other than this unfortunate situation, I would highly recommend this office for anyone with cardiovascular needs. We are so pleased with the whole group working in this office. DoctorVakili is exceptional, fruendly, attentive and completely understanding of any concerns. He takes his time and asks many questions concerning my health and because of that some issues came out to the surface. The person and all the young girls working in hus office are amazing, so helpful and caring, l have never experienced such a fantastic group of people in one place in all the years that l vicited other doctors offices. Hi I was a patient of Dr. Vakilli???????? for 25 years; The middle of last year I left something in his office that was important to me I called and asked them to please put it up for me when I return to pick up my item they told me it no longer was around I started having troubles with his staff after this incident .????Dr Vakilli???????? was a standup doctor year ago I trusted him I had brain surgery and had The frontal lobe of my brain removed which I struggle with memory and many more things I would have recommended him to anybody now I believe they have just turned into money hungry people he turned me onto a Lasik surgery ;in his office; then a dietitian ; along with over-the-counter pills; along with seeing him ,,,,,,,,,that adds up I overheard the manager Nicole tell somebody it's all about money it should be all about the patient I tried to reveal this to the doctor with no avail he did nothing,,,,,,, I am on a fixed income and ????Dr Vakilli???????? knows this I tried to do as he said After getting $100 worth of medicine from his office on Friday-9 as he recommended on Tuesday-13 The office manager Nicole asked me to make a payment on a $400 past due bill I told her I did not have the money at this moment she asked if I had a credit card I said no she said if I didn't make a payment any kind I could leave And find another doctor in front of everybody in the waiting room how embarrassing and unprofessional/ At this moment I walked out of the hospital with my head in my hands embarrassed how unprofessional ((( I just got out of the ER ))) Iwas in the hospital because of my heart)) this episode could've gave me a heart attack; My test on this particular day was a stress test and if I was a no-show it would've cost me $175 I was asked to leave and get another doctor I couldn't believe this I called a close friend of mine that Offered to pay my bill then I was allowed to go back in to Office for the stress test,,,,,, I told the manager Nicole that I wouldn't be able to make another payment to the doctor till the third of the month when I got my disability check I couldn't believe this was happening to me after going to the doctor for so many years I started seeing him when I was a young woman in my 20s I am almost 60 years old now and was asked to leave and find another doctor I thought to myself OK I will straighten this out with ????Dr Vakili I was waiting for the doctor to come in to the room the day of my follow up Wednesday the 14th low and behold the doctor walked into the room with a chip on his shoulder he says do you have anything to say to me and I began to tell him the story and all he could say was I don't work for free I've been going to this man for years spending all kinds of money 3 to $500 a month so many different things that he's offering me I'm thinking to myself he's offering these things because they're going to help me today he said it was optional, Optional I just spent $100 on two jars of pills I need something that's going to help me not to just give me something that is optional something I can get over the counter somewhere else I can't believe this my heart is broke I would like to know why is he selling everything and offering everything if it's not going to help why is he being so money hungry I owed him $400 arrangements were made for each month I began to tell him what happen with his staff,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, And then he turned around and told me that he doesn't work for free it really looks like he was coached before this conversation I don't know what's going on with him and his office Manager it seems like they're pretty cozy at this point in time he told me to get another doctor What I had to say he didn't want to hear it. My rating is for the scheduling department, as I did not see Dr. Vakili on my visit. I received a text with my appointment time of 10 a.m. and instructions to be fasting and to drink plenty of water. Then I got another text to arrive at 8 a.m. so the day before the appointment I called to find out which and the lady said 8 a.m. and not to drink any caffeine 24 hours before, which wasn't in the text and I had already had a Coke. I arrived 7:45 a.m. and the door was locked but the lady let me in and said I was early. I went in for an ultrasound pretty quickly and then waited a while and then another tech took some info and did an EKG, then another tech did more history and another EKG. Then the nurse came in and told me what the EKGs showed. I asked when I would be having the stress test I had fasted for, and they said the "stress test team" wouldn't even be in the building until 3 p.m. and could I hang around Longwood--50 miles from my home--until then and apparently still having to fast and wait my turn to have the test I came there prepped to get. Now I have to get another appointment for the stress test and make another 100-mile trip for what I feel should have been taken care of in one trip. One final gripe: when I asked to use the restroom and was told it is located outside of their office, I walked several hundred feet down the hall and across the lobby to find a locked door with a code. When I walked back and asked what the damn code was, the lady pointed to a small sign on the window. Mental note: read every single sign when you enter an office! Wouldn't it be better if she would just say, "Yes, the restroom is in the lobby, and the code is ____? Maybe that was my stress test?! Doctor V and his staff are truly amazing. Specifically Nichole. She communicates well and shows real care and concern for the patients. She always responds to me, even when the office is closed to update me on appointment,ents etc.! I highly recommend them!

The Best Cardiologist and Best Doctor I've Ever Met. I don't say this lightly. I was on my daughters wedding cruise a few years ago in the middle of the Caribbean when I had a heart attack. The ships doctors told me to take aspirin each day, monitor my blood pressure, and get to a heart doctor as soon as I got off the ship. I immediately began looking for cardiologists in the Orlando metro area, and saw that Dr. Vakili was ranked the highest. He's over an hour drive for me, but hey, I don't care if he's the best. As soon as I got off the ship, I called and his staff were amazing and were able to get me in to see him immediately. I liked him the minute I met him, and that's not something I say often. He has a great manner, yet will tell you what you need to hear. In order to save time and trips there, he scheduled the tests together within the parameters of what the insurance would allow at one time, so I had only two trips for four tests including a nuclear heart scan. So in one week from meeting him, he had the results, and saw what appeared to be a large blockage in one of my arteries, so he recommended that he needed to do a heart catherization and I may need a heart stent. His office manager, Nichole, who is always helpful, expedited my appointment with Advent Health. During the heart Cath, Dr. Vakili found that my blockage was near 99% blocked, but he was able to successfully place the stent in that blocked artery. I chose to be awake during the procedure and he was a methodical master. Checkout my before and after heart pics below. If he was not able to get the stent in, they would have had to open me up. The guy is amazing. Since my stent, I have 20+ friends and family that I recommended Dr. Vakili to, and I know that have gone to see him . He has helped resolve each one with their medical issues. My wife had high blood pressure for 25 years. No doctor could get it under control. He was able to get her blood pressure under control in less than one month. Dr. Vakili found things that I didn't even know that I had issues with, including low T (testosterone). I didn't know why I was tired all the time, and didn't have the energy that I used to. He ran a test (that no other doctor that I had ever been to had ordered). and my T was amazingly low. He was able to increase my natural T to "normal" levels, and I have the energy of a 30 year old again. After seeing my results, a female relative of mine went to see him for her night sweats, and lack of energy. He had a solution for that and now, she no longer has night sweats, and has incredible energy. Dr. Vakili is the most amazing doctor I've ever been to, and not just for cardiology. I have never written a "review" before for a doctor, but I've never seen any doctor be a master of the body as he is. His staff are always helpful to myself and my wife, and if I ever have any questions or concerns, his office manager Nichole resolves it immediately. I am in the financial and real estate world, and don't have time to waste; For me to take the time to review a doctor is a testament to how much I believe in this guy. The office doesn’t return phone calls. Additionally they are more interested in keeping the money in their practice (doing a pre test that has already been performed) rather than doing the procedure that is needed.

Dr. Vakili and his staff are SO kind and knowledgeable concerning my health and well being Dr. Vakili spends the time to answer questions and concerns. i have been under his care for about 10 years and feel utterly blessed to know he is making decisions for my welfare and care.

I am so happy, I finally am fixed after 45 years!! I have had left foot and leg swelling since I was 11 years old. Countless doctors have looked and suggested diet, sitting, standing, lymph node massage, lifts in my shoes and more. None of it worked or solved my problem, which got worse as I aged. Dr. Vakili was the only doctor that knew where to start diagnosing this lifelong problem. I trust him to help anyone with chronic conditions. He and his staff are simply amazing!

Absolutely speechless! This was the MOST professional staff and doctor's office I have been to. They greet you right away. There were never more than 2-3 of us in the waiting room for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. I accidentally arrived early, but it gave me a chance to see how long others waits would be. They accommodated me by getting me in as soon as they could which they didn't have to since I made the mistake. They took me back, they went over everything with me at length. Then, ran a test in the office, then another nurse came in and she went into things even more addressing each of my issues as a whole, and made her recommendations and she immediately knew what was going on. I have been trying to figure this out the last 6 years with countless misdiagnoses by the hospital and various doctors blowing me off saying they have no clue what's wrong, but agreeing that something was wrong. When actually what I have is pretty serious. Dr. Alex Vakili and his nurse totally agreed they feel its iliac vein compression. I may need stents put in. I had a TIA and other problems and no one diagnosed this. YOU HAVE NO IDEA the hell I've been through trying to get this taken care of. Thank you so much! Dr. Vakili took the time to help me get a proper diagnosis when I was struggling with my health as a young adult. I appreciate the time he took to listen to me and accurately get the testing I needed. He took every step to ensure my best interest and well-being while being a professional medical provider especially during COVID-19. I felt comfortable with his staff and his office during COVID-19. From day one of being with dr vakili he has treated me like a patient and not just a number on a board. my last cardiologist barly spent any time with me going over anything. Dr vakili hasn"t been that way he has explained all my medication and what they are helping with and has spoke to me about all of the different test he has run and made me feel so much better overall.

Dr. Vakili listened to my concerns and addressed each of them in a straight forward way that was very easy to understand. Being a lawyer I tend to ask a lot of questions and although he is a busy doctor he took the time to answer all of my questions including questions not directly related to cardiology. I had received tests results two days earlier regarding a CT scan of my lungs and I was very concerned, He took the time to discuss this with me and it was very reassuring.

My primary care doctor found blockage and I didn't realize until after my stent was placed, how bad it really was. Dr. Vakili acted fast, saw me right away and scheduled surgery to take care of my issue.

Dr Vakili has been my Cardiologist for over 30 years. He has been professional, caring and always responsive to my questions, following, up with appropriate diagnostic procedures and treatment. I had suffered with exceedingly high blood pressure for years and he discovered the problem and my blood pressure has been normal since. I believe he exhibits insight in solving physical conditions for the benefit of patients. I am in the over 80 class of patients and I have never heard him use my age as an excuse. I have appreciated his interest and care for me as his patient. The office staff is caring, pleasant, efficient and personable. This is an outstanding practice!

Probably the best doctor I have ever had!

After struggling with a particular health difficulty, Dr. Vakili paid attention to the issue and consequently has made a tremendous difference after bloodwork exposed the problem.

I researched for the top heart doctors in the Orlando area and Dr. Vakili's name came up. While I initially thought he was very good and dropped my previous cardiologist after Dr. Vakili told me I'd had a heart attack previously, then the next week told me I hadn't, that had been a mistake, I now regret having changed cardiologists. However, my previous doctor didn't like to tell his patients everything because they would get upset. I told him I would get upset if he didn't tell me. Then when Dr. Vakili said what he did about my having a heart attack, that weighed heavily on my decision to leave my previous doctor. Also, Dr. Vakili eventually told me there is nothing wrong with my heart, but wanted me to take heart medicaions, e.g., blood thinners. I opted not to do that for obvious reasons. I'll be finding another cardiologist if and when I actually need one.

Terrible! My mother was a patient of his and we always felt rushed. He seemed to get irritated when questions were asked. He always wanted to operate with no clear explanation. To show just how much he cared for his patients, once after my mother's surgery he left the hospital without talking to her or myself. I'm perplexed by these previous comments. Have you noticed there are no negative comments, but yet there is a malpractice settlement. Wish I would have known this first.....

I have been with Dr. Vakili for 12 years now, and I am so grateful he is my Doctor. I have been with him through 2 Pacemakers, and several vein procedures. He has saved my life twice. Once when my heart stopped before surgery, and another time when he discovered a blood clot in my Jugular Vein. He is kind, thoughtful, and has a great bedside manner. Dr Vakili put my first stent in about 18 years ago . I came back to the orlando area because i wanted him to do my heart care. As i have done twice before i trust him with my life. He is a great man and Doctor .

I went in for my initial visit, and I could not be happier. Dr. Vakili seemed very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and explained everything so that I could understand it. He did not recommend unnecessary procedures, and his staff was pleasant as well. I hope I don't have to see him often, but I know I am in good hands if I do.
