Dr. Benjamin Metz

Dr metz asked pre pay for x-ray and $200 deposit for for procedure he proposed which was to extract existing implant, graphing, and implant number two again I agreed and estimation was sent to Inssurance and then dr Metz office asked for my portion for these three procedure. The day of procedure dr Metz decided to not to extract the number 2 but to graph around it that was final not only he did one procedure instead of 3 also because of his surgery around the tooth I suffered loos tooth and had implant to be extracted due to infection and pain within 6 mounts. Point is I was charged thousands of dollar for 3 procedure but in reality one procedure was done and I lost the implant which cost $9,000 between original implant and dr Metz operation. I would not even refer dr Metz to my enemy. This is respond to person responded below. I might not understand Inssurance code but I Listen very carefully what dr Metz was explaining he said #2 implant is no good and damaging tooth in front of it and it had to be extracted then graph it and later implant #2 tooth again based on this plan your office contacted the insurance company for predetermination of cost for the above explained procedure when they received insurance response office asked for my portion of cost which I payed but dr Metz decided against his on plan and decided just to graph around tooth #2 when I return for post surgery check up they asked for additional money which was strange since dr Metz only did one operation instead of original 3 step no I not just talking about the charges but also about the damage was done to existing #2 implant that I had to have it extracted this February due to infection why did dr Metz changed his original plan, I need explanation. Cost is significant but it is collateral damage you did not explain on what bases dr Metz changed his approach and damaged my tooth. #3 review I feel like you do not want to accept the fact that dr Metz reviewed x-ray with me and emphasized that tooth #2 is going to damage tooth #3 as it is implanted and it had to be extracted and only after tooth #2 was extracted he will graft and after graft was successful he will implant tooth #2 again, this is what we discussed and agreed up on but when I sat on the chair he divided to work around the #2 tooth without extracting and whatever he did was wrong because #2 tooth was infected so bad that I had to have it extracted. Now I do not know why we are not realizing this fact and respond to it instead of explanation that has nothing to do with this fact.

I've been seeing Dr. Metz for years now and his office continues to meet my expectation. I enjoy knowing that consist quality of service is what his practice continues to demonstrate. I have no plans to look elsewhere.

I've been seeing Dr. Metz for a couple years now. I had gum recession in a number of places in my mouth from years of grinding my teeth, as well as general inflammation in my gums. To say I was freaked out about it all - understatement of a lifetime. The procedures, if you know, they aren't pleasant to think about. If you've got a little bit of anxiety about the dentist (which I do), believe me when I say I was DREADING ALL OF IT. So anyways, Dr. Metz did the examination, and then there was a lot of time on education. Literally, I watched a video about tooth brushing. And I actually had been doing it wrong. Not just circles folks, there's more to it. Then they go over costs of everything. There was no pressure to pay or book a date that moment the way some other periodontists do. In terms of cost, I saw three different periodontists before finally settling on Metz. Of the three, Metz was by far the fairest on price and only taking on necessary work. Dr. Metz's staff has always been professional and kind to me - even when I was an awkward anxious mess. I literally called the office to ask about pain killers and Novocain and ... I was terrified. Dr. Metz I have found him to be tough and fair. There have been times where he had to push back on me or push me harder - and while I didn't like it at the time - it was what I needed to hear. So anyways after a good number of procedures, I'm now into the maintenance phase of it all. Today he told me I don't need to come back anymore unless there are more problems, but as of today, I'm good. So yeah, I'd recommend him without reservation.

I had a dental check-up last week and as usual, it went well. The staff is great and very accommodating. I only had to wait a few minutes before they called me back for the procedure, even though the office looked pretty busy. Dr. Metz was very nice, informative, and helpful!

Dr. Metz recently completed gum grafts for me, a procedure that unfortunately, I’ve had to do a few times. I appreciated his and his office’s staff’s friendliness, the helpful office visit text/email reminders…and being an in-network provider through my insurance because this stuff ain’t cheap! I’ll need another round for two additional teeth in the coming months and will definitely return!

Dr Metz is a gentle, and over all good dentist, he’s good at explaining things. It’s his assistant that’s the problem, she is extremely rude. And does not do her job well. I see I’m not the only one in these reviews that think this. I cancelled my last appointment because my anxiety was so high of going back and getting my teeth cleaned by her. She needs to check her attitude and lack of empathy, Or find a different profession.

I am currently in process of getting implants. I have found Dr. Metz and the whole office staff to be courteous, thorough, responsive, and kind. I'm confident in the process and looking forward to the outcome.

Dr. Metz is awesome! He has helped me so much over the years. I would tell anyone with periodontal issues to see him.

Dr. Metz and his staff are so wonderful. I was treated very well and they are also very thorough in their explanations and answering questions. I was referred here by friends and I will definitely be referrering others to go see Dr. Metz as well.

Dr. Metz has treated me, as well as one of my children. His skill is exceptional, his care outstanding, and his communication is clear! I highly recommend Dr. Metz, if your care requires the treatment he offers!! The office staff is also superb!!

If I could, I will definitely give this place a ZERO star. I don't think they deserve any stars. This is the rudest dental clinic I have ever been to in my entire life. I went to my appointment today at 3:25pm (scheduled at 3:30pm). They kept me waiting till 3:43pm and then finally started to take my x-rays. For some reason the dental assistant was obviously working with an attitude. I checked emails on my phone a few times when she was setting up the x-ray machine and she was like "Maybe you should reschedule to another appointment because I cannot do the x-ray when you are on your phone." This is simply wrong. I checked my emails before she actually started to do my x-ray and she was all acting like she were my mom and threw her attitudes at me. I did not argue with her on this and just followed her command to finish the x-ray. She said doctor will be with me in 10 minutes. I waited for 20 minutes there but I need to get back to attend a work meeting after this appointment so I asked the receptionist how much longer should I wait (my intention was if I need to wait longer I can probably come back later for the results). For some reason this dental assistant heard what I'm asking and started to lose her temper. She almost screamed at me with a very loud voice saying "There are someone before you who needs doctor's attention". I then said "Maybe next time you guys can schedule the appointment better so no one's time is wasted." She said "Oh you think your time is wasted? What about our time?" I further explained "That's not what I meant. I just said maybe you guys can schedule fewer people together during the same hour so we do not need to wait that long." Then she started to misinterpret my words by saying "You think your time is more valuable than others?" Then she said she is out and there is no way she will handle my case... I left the clinic afterwards. I feel I'm not treated with respect. I raised my valid concerns but she thought I was attacking her for not doing her job well (which is kind of true as well). I think she is very unprofessional. This is a country of free speech. I'm a customer there and I cannot even express my own honest opinions? What kind of place is that, a clinic inside a prison? For god's sake it's me paying them for my service, not the other way around. If they keep treating customers like this, well, good luck to their business! BTW, they have only one doctor, one dental assistant, one receptionist working there but I saw at least 4 patients either waiting in the lobby or waiting inside the room. I don't think they ever respect customers and value customers' time. I will NOT recommend this clinic at all! Reply to the owner: I'm reviewing the correct place. Dr. Metz and staff are amazing! The whole office is so friendly. Dr. Metz was great explaining what I needed to have done. They were spot on with what my insurance would cover and pay. If I ever need another implant I will definitely go back to Dr. Metz.

I needed an implant for a tooth that was knocked out in an accident. Dr. Metz and staff were amazing! They explained the entire procedure and even let me know what my insurance was going to pay. Thanks Dr. Metz for letting me smile again.

I saw Dr. Metz for an Implant. Throughout the whole process Dr. Metz and his staff were fantastic! They were so kind and helped me understand all of the steps. I would recommend Dr. Metz for implants.

I had 4 front teeth pulled and will be getting implants with Dr. Metz. He is one of the most attentive Dentist/Periodontist when it comes to your experience with him. He is kind, patient and excellent at his work. I’ve been going to him for years and trust him with what is needed for my dental care. 5 stars for sure.

I had a great experience with Dr. Metz. He made me feel comfortable during the extensive procedure I had done. He constantly checked in to make sure I wasn't in any pain, and if I was, he took care of it right away. He and his staff are very professional and friendly.

Dr. Metz is an amazing periodontists that takes pride in making sure his patients are well taken care of. I would absolutely recommend him to family and friends!

Dr. Metz is great. He loves what he does and it shows in his patient care and treatment as well as his attitude. He communicates in a clear, professional and good-humored manner. Office atmosphere is pleasant; staff are always kind and helpful too. Cool music puts the icing on the cake.

I have been a patient of Dr. Metz for 8-10 years & have absolutely no complaints. I only wish I could know him as a neighbor or friend, as well as a medical professional.

Only cares about $ and overcharges on treatment plan. Office is not clean. Wanted to take unnecessary X-rays. Front desk smelled like smoke. Didn’t get anything done so the only pain was the hefty price he wanted to charge me and my insurance. Go somewhere else.
