Dr. Beverly M Calkins

Dr. Calkins has been my dr. For many years. She listens very well and understands my issue's. Am in great health, thanks to her and her amazing staff.

She seems to be a great doctor. I really appreciate her honest straightforward approach. She has been very helpful to our situation where we have found almost nothing but obstacles from every other facet of the medical community. Dr. Calkins also has a really great staff.

Dr. Calkins has been my parent's primary care physician for MANY years, and they have been very happy with her. Recently, I have had to communicate for my parents with Dr. Calkins and their staff. They have been SO HELPFUL to every request and question, as I embark on this life's next chapter with my parents. It is so comforting to be able to get a QUICK answer when I email. I can't praise Dr. Calkins and her staff enough. They go above and beyond and their customer service is commendable. I am truly in their debt and so thankful to them all. An awful experience. They seemed nice enough at the first appointment. Multiple mistakes on lab work. No knowledge of covid tests after multiple requests for a referral. Unable to make and keep appointments. Confusion amongst staff. Finally, before even seeing the doctor she sends me a letter on MyHealthOnline that I have been fired because of how I treated her staff! I hadn't been to see a doctor in 5 years because I was focused on caring for my terminally ill husband. This is the treatment I get. I am hurt and disappointed. Very unprofessional and arrogant to treat people in need this way.

AWFUL DOCTOR I will be reporting this doctor to my insurance carrier. Being new to the area, I tried to chose Dr. Calkins to be my primary doctor. Her office Is taking new patients but they informed me she needs to review my records before accepting me as a patient. I found that to be strange but I agreed and filled out a huge packet of forms providing private information regarding my health including medications, family medical history, etc. I just received a call that she won’t be accepting me as a patient and when asked why they refused to give me a reason? Great staff, easy parking

My experience is that Dr. Calkins is very compassionate and takes a great deal of time to explain thoroughly her thinking and recommendations. I have observed other patients express much gratitude for her care as they are exiting her practice.

I always see Susan Allen who is personable and knowledgable. She has an excellent staff as well. I'm not sure what initials are after her name but I know I don't need to see a doctor. She has always impressed me with her knowledge of maladies, pharmaceuticals, etc.

Dr. Calkins has been my physician for over three years and is always kind, honest and involved in my patient care. Explains clearly the issues I face and works with me to make a plan for better health.

I am very happy to recommend Dr. Beverly Calkins. She and her staff are very caring and professional. When my husband was having some severe health issues a few years ago, I credit her with getting him in touch with the best specialists in the area. He's doing marvelous today because of her. We will be forever grateful to her!

Gold Standard, the best.

D ont waste your time with this doctor and her staff. She is all about protocol and which i am very aware of and she makes like you are lying to her. I've seen this doctor sense Oct. 2018 and she has yet to order any lab work. She actually gets very hostile with me Thad that same problem as 1 review wrote. Was in the hospital at Roseville she never showed up then tried to tell me I was at dignity. I said no said I could walk in just walk in to get a ultrasound k sent in wrong again yoh need an appointment. Dr. Culkin to this point is one of the most intelligent insightful kind Dr. I have had possibly ever. She was unable to help me with my problem so she reffferred me to a specialist. I have an appt tomorrow and I called to see about having some records sent and voila they were already their.

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR!! She does not know what she's doing! She is always right and she will not allow you to be! She will lie to your face! Her staff has no training and they blatantly lie to you because of their lack of experience and training! Dr Caulkins will chew you out for the smallest thing and lie because of her lack of knowledge. She is always late, just waltzes in!This staff and the PA don't even know how to fax anything! JUST STAY CLEAR OF THIS OFFICE FOR YOUR HEALTHSAKE!

Doctor Beverly Calkins has been our family doctor for over a year. She is one of a kind. You always get to see her, ( yes the Doctor) so how comforting is that. A patient doctor relationship you get every time. What a blessing to know Lois is going to answer the phone get you in to see her so you can feel better. Love it...

Dr Calkins was very informative, & thorough in taking my medical history. I felt very comfortable talking to her. She not only listened to me but was very compassionate as well. I am so happy that I found such a knowledgeable & caring physician. The staff was very friendly & helpful as well.

If your not sick or have any chronic issues, she is ok. However, it is the worst experience I have ever had. They have terrible communication issues. Do not expect to get proper care under this office. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

Please do not waste your time going to this doctor, or her practice, The Doctor Is In, Inc. My first appointment was her first on a Monday morning. The doctor got to work a half hour late, and didn’t even bother to apologize. She did spend almost an hour with me, and I was willing to overlook her rudely getting to the office late for her first appointment of the morning. But the fun really started when I had to deal with her incompetent staff. On the way out of my first appointment, there was some confusion about how to code the diagnosis for a ROUTINE EXAM on a labwork order, so I could not leave the office with that in hand. I was told they would figure it out, and call me to come pick it up. But nobody called. I called every two weeks to find out what the problem was, and each time was told they would call me back, but they NEVER did. I had to keep calling, and nobody would tell me what the delay was. Then, my insurance refused to pay the doctor claiming she was not in their network (she is). I had to call the office, then the outside biller, who told me she had used the right provider ID, and I would have to call my insurance company. When I argued that made no sense, she accused me of yelling at her. SIX WEEKS after my initial appointment, I called the office again and was finally told my labwork order was ready. But when I went to pick it up, I was handed a packet with a letter saying because I had been abusive to the staff, the doctor would not see me anymore. Both the biller who couldn’t even use the correct provider ID when billing my insurance company, and the receptionist who would never give me a straight answer about my labwork order, had complained about me to the doctor. Turns out, the doctor didn’t think I needed the labwork order because my annual exam wasn’t until June. Unfortunately, nobody TOLD me this any of the times I called the office. Beverly Calkins may be a perfectly competent doctor, but her staff is beyond useless, and unfortunately, you will have to deal with them. They do not seem to be able to do their jobs, and simply lie to their employer about it. Just FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. Please do not waste your time going to this doctor, or her practice, The Doctor Is In, Inc. Her staff is beyond useless. They do not seem to be able to do their jobs, and if you complain about it, you are classified as unkind, and let go. Missing labwork orders, incorrect insurance billing, and repeated unreturned calls. This is what you will have to deal with, as well as a doctor who can't see her staff for what they really are. Just find another doctor.
