Dr Shaffer is one of the best !!!

She listens to me and trusts my own instinct as well. I had my dog in my running car and she told me to go bring my dog inside with me.

Worst care ever!! Office staff in organized and hateful do not know what there doing doctor is very incompetent and it’s scary to know she’s even a doctor! Would not take my dog to them!!

Seems like she could be a good doctor but she doesn't ask enough questions, doesn't let you ask questions and ends the exam and walks out abruptly while you are expecting her to come back. Yes, Dr. Schaefer, i had more questions.

Left numerous messages for Dr to call me, never did! Staff very RUDE and unprofessional. Months of leaving messages for Dr. never returned. Her staff needs to be instructed how to treat patients better. Can’t get past the unprofessional staff to be treated by the Dr. Decided to find a Dr that cares about their patients!

I've been a patient of Dr Schaefer for almost a year now and I've had enough! Extremely rude unprofessional receptionist and staff. Michelle, a nurse at this practice, runs this place. Michelle is so hateful and always smarts off at all the patients. It's not just me either. Many other patient's have told me that Michelle treats them like trash. She's so rude, snippy and will humiliate and belittle you. This is one nurse you don't want to hear call you back. She's been reported to Dr Schaefer many, many times by numerous patients for her rude , hateful ways, but Dr Schaefer refuses to do anything about it. I believe Dr Schaefer is affraid of Michelle or there is something going on between them. Dr Schaefer never calls your medications in corerrctly. She'll also just give you a 30 day supply with No Refills. You have to come back each month for your medication. She orders lab work and blood to be drawn everytime you come in . She's very money hungry and will milk your insurance for as much as posibIe. If you're looking for a good family practice to go to, don't make the mistake and go here. You'll be very sorry you did. She was the only Dr that listened to my symptoms and fixed me up with a cardiologist who helped me.

I am a patient of Dr. Schaefer's for the past year and I am so glad I found her. I have 3 chronic illnesses and have to visit the doctors on a regular basis. Out of all the family care physicians, she is by far the best one I have had. She listens to your concerns and makes sure to give you the best care she can. She also takes her time talking to you and looks over all of your past medical records to insure the best care and or medication for you, not just a temporary band-aid. I have a lot of medical history and she makes sure I am taken care of in all aspects. Her nurses are always nice. The practice actually makes you feel like your one of them. I don’t get some of the other negative reviews because I have been to Dr. Schaefer a few times now and she has been very nice and easy to talk to and listened and really checked out all my concerns to get to the bottom of what was going on. I had an excellent experience with her and found her to be a very good doctor! I have recommended her to several friends!

I just love Dr Schaefer, she is nice and caring and listens to you. She has found things wrong with me that my Dr in Tennessee couldn't find. She is a sweetheart and very caring and understandable.. She is just an awesome Dr to have..

Don’t go to this doctor. She does unnecessary in office test as well as lab work that insurance won’t cover and you end up with an outrageous bill. Not only that she is very unprofessional with her staff.

Dr. Schaefer is very money hungry. Even for maintenance medications she will make you go into the office every single month and pay for an appointment just to do a refill on your medication, even if you are only doing labs every 6 months. All medications are only given for 30 days, NO REFILLS. She has a rule of NEVER calling patients - she does not talk to patients on the phone for any reason, ever. She also doesn't remember her patients, even if she just saw them the previous week.

Dr. Schaefer was my doctor for a number of years until she left the Columbia area. I have seriously considered driving to Sumter just to be able to use her again. I have not been able to find another doctor with her extraordinary skill set. I have found competent doctors but none that have inspired the confidence that I experienced when I was under her care.

I was Dr Schaefer's patient fo over 10 years prior to her relocating to Sumter. How I wish I could find another doctor like Dr Schaefer here in Columbia. She is a Dr who really cares about her patients .
