I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Dr McAlpine takes the time to listen to all that ailes you and she takes the time to explain her findings. If she can't help you, they are kind enough to assist in referrals. Dr. McAlpine has been kind enough to reply to inquiries and emails into the evening and weekends. I find this rare and comforting. Dr. Mcalpine has managed my medical issues for almost 20 years. I have seen her twice a year and more, and I could not ask for - or imagine - better, or more expert care and I'm a professional. I'm almost 89 and in robust good health, and it is her knowledge, care, and advice that deserves major credit for that fact. Her process focuses on one's condition, not one's wishes for intimacy and soft relationship and it is that focus on what I need to maintain good health that constantly increases my confidence in her. I have no words to adequately express my confidence and appreciation for her as my physician.

I would give zero stars if it would let me! This office practices "Cherry Picking Patients", choosing those with few issues, thus less money expended and more in their pockets. Surprisingly, this practice is not illegal, but it is very unethical! The staff were rude and condescending, including the office manager. I actually had to fill out an application to be "accepted". They become upset when I mentioned "Cherry Picking" at the window and I stated what an awful practice that is. There are too many other doctors to have one practicing discrimination so boldly! I have one of the best insurance plans and have already found a new doctor. Don't be afraid to call someone out for shady practices, legal or not. I would give zero stars if it would let me! Both my parents are patients of Dr. McAlpine and as "87 year olds" they rely on their medical relationship to guide them on they health/medical journey. They are both very happy with Cathryn and confident in her care/medical advice. Thank you Kurt Mechling.

My mother went to Dr. McAlpine as a new patient. She was losing weight. Trouble breathing. Did a couple of small tests. Basically told my mother she was just getting old. She ended up in the hospital for a week with bad infection in her body and bleeding in small intestine. I wouldn't recommend her for even a minor cold.
