My Mother was trying to reach Dr. Alam and left several messages and no one called her for two weeks. She was very sick and finally went to an urgent care. No one ever answers the phone to speak to a human being.

I trust them way more than I will ever trust Oconee memorial hospital emergency room (Oconee Memorial ER is a joke!) I went to Dr. Alams urgent care because I was really sick & the only thing Dr. Kevin Dosik, from OMH ER, did was send me back home & told me to keep doing what I was doing & I would get better. No bloodwork, no x-Ray, no flu or strep test, he just looked down my throat & that was it. I have great insurance! They also refused to let my husband in to sit with me. Dr. Dosik doesn’t want anyone else in there with the patient period. Not to mention he’s an arrogant pompous... I got worse & by the next day I was taken to the medi urgent care. I had to have a nebulizer treatment, an antibiotic shot, & a steroid shot. Also had an x-ray to make sure I didn’t have pneumonia again. I have seen Dr. Alam at Medi-Urgent Care several times. He seemed a bit cool at first, but he really is perfectly nice. I think he is a bit shy, and so that appears as being abrupt. He has always diagnosed and treated me correctly.

Niece took sister to see him: pain right lower side, fever had been 102. He drew labs, sent her home, said they would call with results. Never called. 4 hrs later, neice called for labs. Was told were normal. Neice called me - I’m a nurse- told me situation. I said let’s take to the ER. Was in shock when we got there. HAD A RUPTURED APPENDIX - emergency surgery. WOULD HAVE DIED IF WE DID WHAT HE SAID. Got copy of labs today. Not normal- white count 17,000. VERY SCARY. Beware!!!

He missed a ruptured appendix!!! high fever, severe tenderness in right lower abdomen. thought might be flu. Waited 3 hrs to be seen. Drew lab work, but no physical exam, sent home. Never called lab results to us. When we called to ask, said lab work was normal when it wasn’t -17,000+ white count, Said was a “virus”. Would have died if hadn’t gone to ER: had emergency surgery. Was already in septic shock by the time seen at ER! Very scary situation - could have resulted in death.

If there were a way to leave a negative star, I would do it. He misdiagnosed my sons X-rays on two different occasions. We won't be seeing him again.
