Dr. Charles Garland Evans JR.

Was called in by me, now on two separate occasions (5 years apart), as consultant because my cardiologist is out of HCA network. Was very cooperative and communicative with my attending doctors both present and remote. Answered all my questions from my very detailed oriented engineering perspective. Understood my special medical circumstances and was reassuring with both the possible A and a B plans courses of action. Not sure I could have gone any better -- to wit my 5*

Went with relative for her appointment after Dr Evans did her surgery at chippenham, I couldn’t believe how someone could be smart enough to do heart surgery but, be so ignorant towards patients and their concerns. Not impressed whatsoever. He seem to get aggravated when questioned about the treatment plan. He forgot to send one prescription to drug store then next visit asked if she was taken it ? He refused to fill out paperwork stating he doesn’t do that for Johnson wills patients but, he himself performed the surgery at Chippenham Hospital. Not sure if he even knows where he’s at most of the time. He seriously lacks communication skills when talking to patients. I’m sure glad I use VCU cardiology services, I do not recommend

I owe my life to Dr Evans. I was having a heart attack and he met me at the end of the ambulance and rushed me straight to the catherization lab to unblock my heart! He is a fabulous doctor and very able to treat just about any heart situation.

He performed ByPass surgery on both of my parents and was wonderful!! He also performed a Catheterization and angioplasty and put a seint in my blocked artery and had immediate success!!
