I had an urgent medical need while in the area of my doctor's office today. I thought about going to the emergency room but decided to try the doctor's office instead. The staff was amazing, got me right in, identified the problem and TOOK CARE OF IT! Thanks Aegis Medical Group and Dr. Boggus's team!!!!!!

Dr. Dan has always been our family doctor. But when my son was born I assumed I needed a pediatrician for him. The doctor I chose was very condescending and made me feel inadequate about being a new mother. Luckily I was complaining to Dr. Dan’s daughter about this and she told me that Dr. Dan takes babies. I immediately switched my 4 week old son to Dr. Dan and I have never looked back. His advice on teaching proper eating habits, temperament, and being ok with your own style of parenting has been the best. Take your babies to Dr. Dan. Dr. Dan has always been our family doctor. I love everything about Dr. Boggus. He knows how to produce the results that are wanted or needed. Some day I will tell you what I don't like about him if I can ever think of something.

Update... My father has been forced to remain a patient with this office. There are no other geriatric family doctors taking new patients that are NOT in a group. He had a follow up appointment today and the only thing they were concerned about was "why are you still here" because they read my review from Feb 10 and apparently are perfectly okay with losing patients after DECADES of being under the care of Dr. Dan Boggus. 24 hour heart monitor results from Dec, still unknown. It was also mentioned to him that "he should probably see Dr. Dan this time?" but they put him with the P.A. instead so "we'll let you see him next time" WOW! Also, they do not allow anyone in with the patient even if you are the LEGAL guardian of that patient. I am my father's LEGAL POA and his HCPOA. They have the papers and they still refuse to let me go in with him. They claim it is an Aegis Medical Group policy. They tell us he has to have a diagnosis of Dementia before I can go in with him.

Today my wife found out she had cancer.she became depressed an needed time off work dr Dan bogus said he wouldn’t ok her being off work.plus a different doctor had to tell her she had cancer on the phone.plus bogus has no follow up on our health

Seem just when thinking everything is going well someone or something gets out of line. Just can't believe it.

Dr Dan Boggus is one of very few doctors today that does a super job of taking care of this patient's. He is a whole care doctor, he looks at your physical,mental, spiritual and social needs. All of these issues are elemental to taking care of a person. Then he is able to prescribe exactly what will help, whether it is exercise, imaging, labs, Physical therapy or medication. When you have a visit he explains to you what is wrong and how to best fix it. He always takes his time to listen to this patient no matter how complicated a case. I am his patient and of course he knows my medical history, I suffer from chronic sinusitis and ear infection and every time I called to make an appointment for this reason he won't see me until I get tested for Covid 19, are you kidding me?, I called his office yesterday for the same reason with a horrible ear ache they told me I need to get test first before he see me, they never called me back for the rapid test, and I end going to an emergency care to get treatment because the pain in my ear and my sinuses infection was so painful. I also had an Xray for my knee and another test and never received a call to let me know my results, that is unacceptable . So I called my insurance company today to change doctor, DO NOT RECOMMENDED, NOT A DOCTOR TO RELY YOUR HEALTH ON. If I could put a ZERO I WOULD. My husband and I recently moved to Lake County and needed to find a primary physician. He met with us 1 time only, that was our first appointment. Since then the last 5 months we went to his office we only were seen by his nurse practioner. My husband needed to see a podiatrist for his feet since he's diabetic and needed extra care for his feet. He waited over a month just for a referral. Then the podiatrist told my husband he needed surgery to shave down the bone on his foot. My husband provided Dr. Boggus office with the foot doctors request for surgery and was told to get clearance from primary doctor first then would proceed. Dr. Boggus office delayed my husband's clearance for 3 months which led to my husband going straight back to the foot doctor himself. The foot doctor told him he needed surgery immediately. Well it ended up my husband was admitted to the hospital with a very dangerous infection in his toe. The foot doctor wanted to treat my husband's foot months prior to. My husband lost his toe over Dr. Boggus negligence and putting my husband off for months. This office has the RUDIST FRONT DESK STAFF i have ever encountered in any professional setting. They made fun of my husband when he ask for a referral to a Podiatrist for his feet and told us he needed a 'SPA'. SO as this ends is with my husband being hospitalized for 2 weeks and loosing his big toe to negligence and dismissal of his condition . Nasty office staff . Excellent staff, best Doctors in Lake County !!!!!

Dr. Boggus has been my family physician for over 35 years. He is compassionate, caring and embraces the human body, mind and spirit. He must never sleep, because he always knows my entire history back to when I was 18! He has an amazing staff - Eleshia, Lead Nurse and Jewel, Office Manager are simply *amazing*, along with Laura & Dawn, who are newer but also terrific. Matt Booker, APRN has been a wonderful addition to his practice and shares in Dr. Dan's love of patient care. I love these people like they are my family because that's how they treat me. Dr. Boggus has treated my entire family for as long as I can remember. He is very friendly and has a good bedside manner. He has never thrown medicine at me for a fix if there was another way to treat the issue. I would highly recommend Dr. Boggus!

Try diagnose without any test if he gives any test.

Excellent visit. Dr. Boggus reminds me of an old time family Dr. Spends unhurried time with you discussing any concerns you may have. Very pleased I have him as my primary Dr. I feel that I am in excellent medical hands.

Has been our familly doctor for 27 years. He is the best.

Love me some Dr. Dan but this new medical group has the worst phone system ever. Went days without being able to contact anyone. Was told by office staff to complain to Aegis not them.

I've been a patient of his for about 30 years. He is a very good doctor. He allways great you with open arms,and a smile.

He makes you feel like he is there for “you” not the system, no feeling of being rush, likes when you ask questions, still a human being and treats you like one. Listens and explains where you can understand

My first visit i did not see the doctor i saw his pa who told me that they ;like to keep everything "in house", and that i should always come there and not to go to any urgent care or emergency room. I have a rare auto-immune disease that affects my skin. Only 5% of people in the world have this and took 8 months to even find out what it was. Most dermatoligists do not no how to treat it so my insurance company has been giving me overrides for years t in his to go out of network but Dr. Boggus would not approve it and said i should be treated at his office. He values office visits more than my health. DO NOT GO TO HIM HE IS A QUACK. If i could rate him -100 i would.

So many doctors today seem clinical and impersonal. Dr. Boggus is what a family doctor should be. He has expertise and practicality. I have never been treated with more empathy by another doctor.

Dr Boggus is the most amazing doctor I have ever seen! He always gives you the attention that you need and treats you like family. I love his down to earth personality and patient care. Doctors like him are hard to find now days.

Dr. Boggus is a fantastic and thorough physician. He has excellent bedside manner and treats you like a family member. TRULY, he thinks long term about your loved ones health and gathers information about the life of the patient.

Doctor is intimidated by insurance company and therefore orders unnecessary tests and procedures. Staff is condescending and obnoxious. Absolutely cannot recommend.

I'm 24 years old now, and I have been going to him since I was a toddler. I only just researched his name and number for old med. records because I moved to a different city, but If I still lived in Lake County I would absolutely choose him as my primary. Thought I would let inquiring minds know, He's the absolute best.

Dr. Boggus has amazing bed-side manner. I am always seen in a timely manner. He also listens to my needs and takes into account my feelings about certain things. I highly reccomend this dr.
