Showed up 30 minutes late but did apologize as he waltzed in the room. He looked at my toe and ordered nurse to take a sample for lab. Treatment recommended was to apply Vicks to nail for a month or something. (for fungus even though the sample nail tested negative for fungus.) He froze a wart on another toe. He told me it would turn black and fall off not that it would turn into a giant blister. It felt like I had a band-aid too tight for a week. All this cost me $600 with insurance. Waste of $$. Not impressed.

Preface: I've worked with 100s of doctors, specialists etc for 20+ years (5 were in this very clinic network). I trust the system and have found nearly all of the docs to be excellent. However, this doctor--NO. 1) He doesn't listen to patients when they bring up potential complications. He's already decided what will happen before he walks in the door and that's what's going to get done-- no other options. Which BTW is surgery in 2 business days at a facility where he's--TADA!--part owner. 3) Worst of all: no patient should ever be in a position where they find themselves drugged up right before being wheeled into surgery, helpless & arguing with the doc because he insists on prescribing a painkiller that's listed as a "known drug allergy" for 10+years. The KDA was prev. discussed with him/staff & was written in capital letters in the red band on my wrist. 4) The follow-up has been LAME LAME LAME. My review? Reckless. Slap-dash. Lacks integrity. I do not recommend.

Both Dr Pytowski & the staff were professional, patient pre & post operation.

Gave 1 star because the system made me, otherwise I would gladly have selected none. I went to him following an accident falling down a flight of stairs. Both ankles were grossly swollen, black and blue bruising all over the feet and ankles, instability and excruciatingly painful. His initial assessment was pathetic at best, a very brief physical exam and no x-rays, and he made a diagnosis of sprained ankles and sent me on my way. I went back 6 weeks later, having been painfully walking on them since he told me no crutches and even went Christmas shopping leaning on baskets for support, with the same symptoms - still no x-rays, minimal physical exam and left again with the same diagnosis. Due to a feeling this doctor failed to do his due diligence, I sought a second opinion and found out one ankle was broken in 2 places and the other ankle was broken in one place and all ligaments and tendons were torn. The new doc explained to me this was the most horrific injury to ankles, let alone bi-laterally, he had ever seen. He stated those who break them and the bones pop out are better off than I was. Here I am 5 surgeries later, one ankle fused, lots of screws, etc. and my stability is still poor and the pain is terrible in each. I also suffer from a drop foot due to this injury and the waste of time with no treatment for months due to the negligence of this doctor. I was told my outcome could have been different had a timely treatment be done appropriately. I will live with his mistakes for the rest of my life. Dr. Pytowski and his staff have saved my feet for oover 4 years. Skilled surgin and talented in foot ulsers treatment. Best in Austin.

I have recently used Dr. Pytowski As my podiatrist for about the last year and a half. He told me I might need surgery due to PTTP please look it up. Before we even thought about surgery he directed me to see if physical therapist To see if we could approve my foot/ankle enough to where I could work. I was frequently in pain in my ankle would swell when I stood on it all day. I was born with flat feet and my condition was caused by a tendon failure. Dr. Pytowski state may not be in hand holder as you can see in some of the references he received from Google but he is an excellent surgeon and I believe he knows his job really well. And he probably isn’t the only doctor to ever make a mistake as we have happened to some of these people that have put negative comments. Again I highly recommend him as a surgeon. Also another doctor that I talk to also used him for his son Which shows that a colleague likes him and believes he is a good surgeon also. The wait time is not the issue with this provider. He does not explain the procedure very well and he doesnt want you to question his plan of care. He needs to practice trauma informed care and treat the whole patie, not just the foot. I am not happy with my surgery and sought treatment from another provider.

I have a flat feet and developed a tendon malfunction which is known as PTSD. He stated him would need to have surgery but he had me go to physical therapy before to verify that I could not have it fixed enough to where I can actually work on it for extended periods of time. By standing 8 to 12 hours a day. Want to be exhausted visit go therapy I decided to do the surgery and I want to say that I believe he did a great job. I think he’s an excellent surgeon. After the surgery I had to go in the hospital cause I couldn’t wake up from the anesthesia. I want you to know that Dr. Pytowski came in that evening to visit me And again the next morning. I believe that proves he is a conscientious doctor and cares about his patients

Not very personable, cold I’d say. Asked for them to process an authorization to my insurance, after 4 weeks nothing. They responded to my chart insurances don’t pay. I asked if they could at least try and didn’t. Looking for new dr, that cares for patients and at least tries to see what in their best interest.

My husband saw Dr Pypowski he was great he knew exactly what was going on with his foot.

I went to Dr. Pytowski for a toe injury. Upon entering the exam room he looked at my toe from a distance. Without so much as a "what happened" or a physical examination of any kind, he stated it was due to my nail rubbing against my shoe causing a bleed beneath my nail. When I suggested that wasn't the case, he stated he was "absolutely positive". HE WAS WRONG! A large piece of furniture had fallen on my toe. He spent <2 minutes in the room. This guy is a joke. Seek podiatry care elsewhere.
