Dr. Eduardo L Jaramillo

What kind of dr turns a patient away for their weight??? You literally deal with pregnant women, and you have a weight limit to treat them??? You humiliated my family member, so I'm going to make sure I tell every pregnant person in the vicinity to stay away from this office. Don't give a dime of your insurance money to this "doctor." I'd rather travel to Houston or Galveston than give you any business. Personally, it sounds creepy and discriminatory that this is a policy and I'm going to be reporting to the BBB, and the TX Medical Board just for good measure.

Scheduled an appt. for 9:00A.M. Got there at 8:50 A.M. Once at the window I realized that I forgot my drivers license, but I had all other identifying items including insurance card, and a photo copy of my drivers license. Mrs. Myra at the window tells me I can go grab my dl and come right back. I call at 9:25 to let them know I’m 7 minutes away. She then ask me what problems are you having? Love this office & the entire staff. I wish Dr. Jaramillo Jr. and his staff had seen me for my first baby, but I was lucky to have them along the journey before delivering my second. Overall, great service from phone calls, to wait time, to being informed, to being treated well and heard. Dr. Jaramillo did an excellent job making me feel comfortable and like he was informing me the whole way through with what was best for both my son & myself. If I was planning to have more babies, I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Love this office & the entire staff. This is my second pregnancy with Sr. As my Dr. And he has been fantastic both times. He answered my questions and handles my concerns. I am high risk and I trust him

This Doctor was suppose to do a CT scan on my daughter before releasing her.. He never did and Now, my daughter is in excruciating pain, even, worse than when she was in the Hospital. I'm contacting anyone I can and will be reporting this not only to the medical board but an attorney.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Sadly I had the worst experience with my first pregnancy... I should’ve seen it coming, most of the staff was lazy and rude. Dr. Jaramillo would always go in and in less than 2 min he was out of the room, and there was a few times where I asked questions and he literally laughed at me two of those times.. everything was new to me it was my first time experiencing pregnancy I just wanted to make sure and he made it so uncomfortable for me to ask anything after that. Also he made me cry and upset while I was IN LABOR!!!! He came in without saying anything to me and spoke directly to the nurses saying to disconnect everything because I was having a C-Section. I said no, when I asked why he said because I wasn’t dialing fast enough mind you this was the night I went in and I had went in at 4pm after he left I dilated from 4cm to 9cm in 2 hours! After I refused to have a c section he walked out and said he wasn’t treating me anymore and to find another doctor... thankfully another Dr. delivered my baby. He had another 5 c sections done that same night and one of the girls was having a hemorrhage. seriously the most sweetest and calmest obgyn!! had a very good experience and loved my c section.. my daughter is now 19 months and currently pregnant again!! dr jaramillo is the best!! and his staff is as well!!

2010: I had pre-eclampsia. He admitted me to be induced. Contractions were fast, yet progress was slow. Did not see him for over 36 hours (from leaving his office to when he finally came to the hospital). He came in, broke my water, and told me to push. I was not dilating or effacing and had been stuck at a 5 for over 12 hours. My son’s heart rate dropped below 75 and the nurses finally convinced him to do the c-section after 2 hours of his heart rate decreasing.

I have to agree with the people who feel he is inattentive. He also broke my water without even asking me. He just came in and said he was checking me. Then while he was doing that, he said he was going to break the water. No warning. This was my 4th child, first time with this doc. This was by far the most painful birthing I had ever experienced. Just because I didn't feel like finding another doctor I let him tie my tubes as well. Also, not a great experience. He said I'd be able to go back to work within a couple of days. It was two weeks before I was even ready to consider it. I wouldn't recommend him. He's not informative or attentive. And his staff is honestly not much better. I can't say they were rude... just not informative or attentive. I would suggest to keep looking if you haven't pick him yet. I have to agree with the people who feel he is inattentive. My wife, money, and Insurance will never go there again. Rude staff and they don't care about there patience. They also want you to pre pay for a delivery that they can't guarantee that they will be doing. All they see is $$$.

I just made an appt with Dr. Jaramillo and all I can say is the nurse I spoke with was very rude. Unfortunately, I'm stuck going to this doctor because my doctor is on maternity leave. Hopefully, Dr. Jaramillo will be more pleasant to deal with then the nurse I spoke with. This is the second time I have used him. How ever I would never use him again. At 25 weeks I went to sneak a peak and they found out that my umbilical cord has only two vessels something he never found until I told him in the ten times I have been to him with this pregnancy. Kept saying everything was fine that is how ever not the case. As well as my blood type is 0- and forgot to give me the shot I needed. On top of everything for my glucose teat never sent my paper work to get it done. This is the second time I have used him. How ever I would never use him again. Dr Jaramillo and his staff are friendly and efficient. The staff is always very welcoming and warm. Dr.Jaramillo takes his time to go into detail and answer questions or concerns i have. He is also very gentle and not rough like some male physicians. Ive recommended him to several of my close friends. You can find better. Wait time is decent. Staff is nice but somewhat not knowledgeable or firm with their answers. Dr NEVER spent more than 2 min, I'm being serious, with me. He just swiped the ultrasound wand thing across my belly & that was it. Never measured, weighed, or looked at babies brain. Just heard his heartbeat. It was decided early on I was going to be a scheduled csection because of my previous one, even like that he didn't care to be with me more than 5 min. "Everything looks good" was all I got from him in my entire pregnancy. I didn't doubt it, but I wanted to be double sure. Staff never gave me call backs on blood screening or etc. I always had to call them. Dr was late to my csection, I laid there prepped for an hour in the OR. Not to mention, Hospital was awful. I will not have another baby here ever again. I'm originally from South Texas McAllen area, I really wanted my baby boy to be born over there where my first was born. Very friendly, they gave you everything you needed, helped you, appose to here. Terrible. You can find better. Wait time is decent. You can find a better doctor elsewhere. He never spent enouhh tine with me or answered my concerns. The wait was horrible i had spent an upwards of 3 hours total in that office before.
