Dr. Victor Fermo

I seen Dr.Fermo for about 5-6 years . He is the best psychiatrist in Port Arthur!

This is not my doctor, it's my 65 year old mother's doctor. This place is ok. The doctor cannot hear well at all. He waits up to 35 days to give you your refills. I have dealt with many seniors in the past in my profession, and I've never seen a doctor like this. Considering this is my mother, we will be looking for someone else asap that can fill her mediciations on time and not come up with a bogus excuse every month as to why her normal meds cannot be filled when they are over scheduled to be filled. Some people may like him. He just doesn't seem to care much about his patients. Steer clear of him!! There has to be way better out there for you and your needs. I’ve been seeing dr Fermo since 2009 and he has really helped me get my life back struggling with mental disability I highly recommend him All staff is EXTREMELY friendly !

He has been "treating" my mother for years and she has not gotten any better. All he does is prescribe medicine to her and sends her on her way. Too bad that he is the only professional in that line of work in that area. I need to find her a better doctor asap!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone he and his wife that work's in the office are the worst all they want is your money your health is not important PLEASE keep looking there are good even great doctors out there... Be very careful going here....

Dr. Fermo is by far the best Dr. I've seen, and I've tried many others. He actually listens to you. Other drs just decided how I felt and gave me meds for stuff i didn't need. Dr. Fermo listens and talked to me about helping fix the issues I have, rather than make stuff up and push pills like previous doctors. Because of Dr. Fermo I'm finally feeling like my old self and I'm happy for the first time since 2012. He truley is an amazing doctor! I can’t even get someone to answer the phone there or get a call back. I’ve been trying to get my daughter in since November because she NEEDS her meds but can’t talk to anyone so guess I will have to just go up there and then they will have to talk to me.

if I could give him a zero rating I would I have never been so upset and frustrated the way they treated me I waited from 2 in the afternoon to 5 in the afternoon to be seen when you go to a psychiatrist that means you really need somebody to talk to so then I was told by one of the nurses in the back that he had an emergency at the hospital did he wouldn't be able to see me for my appointment if I could come back the next day or the day after. so I went outside and got my car and then I noticed none of the other patients that came in after me had came out yet so I got suspicious something else was going on so I went inside and acted like I had to use the restroom and lo and behold he had a patient in his room but yet couldn't see me and they came after me but because they were friends with the lady who worked in the office he had time to see them they said oh he has time to see them but he can't see me I said how is that possible she said oh it's just a check up a review check up it's not an appointment I told her I don't give a damn what it is I said that is rude and disrespectful and I want my money back and I will never go back there again they are a joke if I could give him a zero rating I would I have never been so upset and frustrated the way they treated me I waited from 2 in the afternoon to 5 in the afternoon to be seen when you go to a psychiatrist that means you really need somebody … More

I’m seriously shocked at the disrespect. Went in for my appointment as scheduled and was told that he wouldn’t be seeing any more patients for the day. for a meeting, he should have made it known so I wouldnt have wasted my time.

Dr. Fermo is the best. He believes in good for all! Awesome doctor I appreciate his help.

Dr Fermo does NOT listen to the patient. I see this attributed to his belief that he's the professional & knows what's best for the patient. He has a hearing issue & you're repeating yourself all to no avail. I find his treatment philosophy is antiquated & doesn't represent the modern day advancements of mental health care. After waiting up to an hour for a scheduled appointment, you're lucky to get 10 minutes with him. The office manager is his wife & very difficult to work with.

After 3 visits, Dr said he didn't know what to "DO" with me, and even suggested I get another doctor, I am 65 years old, compliant with my medications and was having depression, I had to go to Baytown for another doctor who would see me in a reasonable length of time, and am quite pleased. We lack Drs in our area, please don't feel trapped. I ignored the bad reviews and thought I would give Dr Fermo a chance, I should have taken the reviews to heart. Stay clear of this doctor! Great doctor

The doctor talks about religion, his own problems and at one time the Kardashian family and Miley Cyrus. The entire building is filthy and disgusting. I suggest staying away from the restroom! The physician refused a one week supply of meds because I had to reschedule my appointment. Due to their procrastination of acquiring the prior authorization needed for insurance, I did not have enough of this particular medication. I had plenty of the other meds he prescribed. Find another doctor!

This doctor is very sketchy. Only accepts cash and after waiting a month to see him and waiting in the waiting room for an hour and a half, I was told he would not see me because my condition is work related and he would not go to court on my behalf.. This was after I explained that I wasn't in a court case. His receptionist is extremely rude and also told me they don't usually take patients in that have a job so that he doesnt have the potential to go to court.
